We ordered this TV on Sept 16 and received delivery on Oct 1. On Oct 27, the TV went dark on half the screen and you cannot turn it off with the remote (has to be unplugged). When we called Support, we were informed the warranty started Sept 16, date ordered and therefore was no longer under store warranty. Whasaat? So for two weeks of delivery time we had no control of the condition of the TV. We have contacted the manufacturer and going thru their process to resolve the issues, hopefully. Very disappointed in Best Buy.

This TV was recommended to me at Best Buy as an economical but reliable TV. The first one lasted 49 days before the screen went black. I went back to teh store and they agreed to replace it with another. I received that one last week and out of the box and plugged in the screen has lines and a black blob on the upper left hand corner. I am going back to teh store today to get a refund. This is ridiculous.

Hisense QD6 QLED TV: Affordable and Impressive

I was excited to test the 2025 Hisense 65" QD6 Series QLED 4K Fire TV because it offers a lot of premium features for its class. On paper it has everything you would want for Movies, TV, Gaming, and Streaming. I spent a considerable amount of time testing it over this last week and I'll share my thoughts with you.
*Design and Build*
Out of the box, the Hisense QD6 is easy to setup. The design is modern looking with thin bezels on all 3 sides except the bottom being slightly thicker. The panel is slim at about 3 inches thick. There are pedestal feet that are very easy to install with a screwdriver. There's a slight wobble when you give it a shake but this is a large TV so it's stable. You can also wall mount with the standard 400x200 mm VESA mounts. The TV is actually light enough for one person weighing in at about 30 pounds. I was able to set it up by myself and place it on our entertainment center.
Around the back there are 3 HDMI Ports (one of these is eARC for a soundbar), 2 USB ports, optical digital audio out, Antenna (I plugged in a basic Antenna to get the locals), AV Input, and a headphone jack. The remote is pretty basic but it's got what you need, including a few quick access streaming buttons and Alexa voice control.
*Specs and Features*
Even though this TV is in a budget category, it has a lot of features. There's a 65" VA panel with 4K. With QLED it does look much more vibrant than other TVs in it's class. The color range looks really solid. Refresh rate is only 60Hz but that's certainly good enough for movies, streaming, or gaming. There's a ton of HDR support. It works with all of the major formats: HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG. So it doesn't really matter what streaming service you're watching, it will auto switch to the HDR that you need. There aren't local dimming zones, but blacks do get really good on this VA screen. There are 2 speakers with 20 watts total. It does decode Dolby Atmos so that works out well with my soundbar. There's not DTS format support but that's typical on most new TVs now.
The Hisense QD6 runs Fire TV OS and it was surprisingly fast and I loved the interface. I could see anything from local channels to streaming services on my homepage making it really easy to access all of what's on TV. App selection is great and they also offer Apple airplay if you need that ecosystem too. There are just a ton of features with QLED, HDR, voice and casting support.
*Performance*
When I first started watching this TV, the color quality stood out to me. Color were rich and vibrant. I tested out a few animation and blockbuster movies and they both looked great. There's a wide color gamut that helps with the HDR display. I notices blues and greens looking beautiful, especially on wildlife and nature documentaries. Blacks are pretty good for the technology here, especially with no local dimming zones, but from time to time blacks are a little more gray when there are other bright areas on the same screen. During the day, in a brighter room, blacks are about average, but at night in a darker room, the TV looks phenomenal.
Sound is clear on general TV viewing like news or sitcoms, but you won't get deep bass you might want in a movie. It was more than adequate for everything I was watching but I leveled up and hooked up a sound bar using the HDMI eARC, which it recognized instantly.
Fire TV OS was quick, responsive, and I was happy with how easy it was to navigate. Alexa voice commands worked great too.
For gaming, I tested it out with two of my consoles. As soon as I started up the first one, the TV automatically switched into Game Mode, which was nice. That mode helps to keep input lag low. I played an FPS shooter and a fighting game and didn’t notice any delay between my button presses and the on-screen play. For regular 60fps console gaming, it feels smooth and responsive.
The Wifi signal is strong, I'm using this TV up in my bonus room and I've had issues in the past with WiFi signal. This TV picked up the signal easily and we zipped right through the menus. Network performance is great with Wifi but there's an ethernet port if necessary.
*Pros*
*Color performance is exceptional
*Works with all HDR content
*Great contrast in darker rooms
*Input Lag is low for gaming
*FireTV OS is impressive
*Ton of connectivity options
*Needs Improvement*
*More brightness would help HDR
*Audio is average
*Needs slightly wider viewing angle
I love the picture quality and the number of features offered on this TV. Highly Recommended!

The Hisense QD6 65" is an excellent choice if you're in the market for a new TV. I actually own three other Hisense TV's that I personally bought, but this is my first one with the Fire TV OS already built in. I always buy a 4K Fire TV stick to go with my new TV's, so this makes everything much easier.
First off, the TV was very well packed inside the box. Hisense has taken great measures to ensure your TV gets to you intact without damage. Removing it from the box is quite easy. I was easily able to do it by myself. The TV itself it actually very light considering the size, but would be much easier with two people.
The TV includes two feet which easily attach to the bottom with a couple screws. When I first received the TV I set it up this way to test it out before it finally ended up mounted to my wall. The feet held the TV up without any issues. I have two cats that love to hop up on the TV stand, and I wasn't at all worried about them knocking it over.
The first time you power on, you go through the typical setup any Fire TV device has. I was able to load my previous setup from the Fire TV stick I already have. The TV was a little sluggish at first, but I contributed that to all the downloads happening in the background. On a side note, I was a little disappointed that this Fire TV OS doesn't have the video Screensaver option like my 4K Max TV stick. It's just something that makes it feel more premium to me.
After all my previous apps downloaded and the Fire TV and remote updated I proceeded to try the all the different modes, in both HDR and SDR. The TV will automatically change to HDR if it is supported by the app. To my eyes, the colors were vibrant and the picture quality was excellent. There are many modes/options to chose from, and even each one can be tailored more to your liking. I've always been impressed with Hisense's picture quality for the price of their TV's, and this one was excellent, as expected.
The sound output is pretty good considering the price of the TV. The dialog is very clear, and can get plenty loud, but when watching movies, especially action movies, I want to feel the scene a bit more than what the TV has to offer. When I connected my soundbar it made the amazing picture from the TV and big sound a complete package.
You get a lot of TV at this price point. I would highly recommend this TV.

One of my complaints with this TV is the slow, delayed menu controls showing after pressing the settings button. There are many times per day that when i press the button, it takes from 5 to 10 seconds to show.
I notice when using prime video and Youtube, trying to rewind or skip back 10 seconds on a video is very slow and starts to stutter, forcing you to patiently wait.
Reviewers pointed out sluggish 120hz performance when gaming with games that support high refresh rates. When in 120hz mode while gaming, i can confirm the frames are NOT smooth, consistent or even in 120hz. The frames even drop lower than 60 when in this mode. Looks like 40 fps.
I read that HiSense software is bad. I can agree on this portion.
Besides that software, I'm impressed with everything else.
TV is bright enough.
Low input lag with gaming is great, even for shooters.
HDR is pretty good.
Speakers are definitely good.
Motion rate options are nice and you can adjust the smoothness in custom mode.
Im most impressed with the 4K AI upscaling.
The image quality is very great with this TV.
4 stars due to the slow software glitches.

I decided to get this Hisense QD6 QLED 65"4K UHD Fire TV to replace a Hisense U6G that was starting to get a little buggy on start up and switching between apps. The picture is still beautiful on the old one so I decided to stay with Hisense. This QD6 QLED is an amazing improvement over the 4K TV I had. There are a lot of great things about this TV I will tell you about, but first off, this is my first TV with Alexa voice commands, and it is awesome! Just tell it what app you want to open or switch too and BAM, just like that it's taking you to that app. No more exiting to the home screen, scrolling to find an app, finding the show you want, etc etc. I know voice command remotes have been around a while but this is my fist and I love it.
Now for the TV. Setup is business as usual. It uses Amazon Fire TV which is similar to Roku or Google if you have set up one of those TV's. Find your favorite apps in the store and add them to your home screen. Connect to WIFI, and plug in your peripherals into the HDMI ports. I only used a soundbar for now in the eARC port, but there are 2 other ports for your gaming system, cable box, etc. (tip, plug in the HDMi cords you plan to use before putting the TV in its place. The ports are on the back of the TV and hard to get to if in place. Then plug your HDMI cords into your other units).
The picture on the Hisense QD6 QLED 65" is very vivid and multidimensional. You see images or people in the background as clearly as you see what's front and center. The colors are bright, sharp and vibrant. The compatible HDR formats are Dolby Vision, HDR 10, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), HDR 10+. These formats bring the picture to life while the Quantum Dots create beautiful colors, bright whites and deep blacks. Just an amazing upgrade from LED TV's.
With a refresh rate of 60 Hz, movies, ball games and mild gaming can be enjoyed with seamless transitions with no lag. It does have Motion Enhancement Technology which speed up the refresh rate for intense high refresh rate gaming like first person shooter games, but seriously most high level gamers don't play those games on a 65" TV. To activate this, turn on game mode to get the variable refresh rate to eliminate screen tearing and lag.
With Dolby Vision you get Dolby Atmos too. Make sure to hook up a soundbar to get that immersive sound that makes you feel like you are in the movie or at the game. I didn't try the TV speakers alone but who does that anymore? Get a soundbar!
This is a great upgrade from regular LED TV's for a rather inexpensive price.

For the price you really can't beat this TV and all the features that it packs. It has all the major video and audio tech that is available from Dolby with the Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos support to pass to your surround sound system. The colors from the new QLED panel really pop and make watching movies very enjoyable.
It is also great for gaming if you have an XBOX Series X or PS5 with the Dolby Vision HDR combined with the QLED panel. The only downside with this TV is to are a true gamer or videophile is the panel is only 60hz. For most people you won't ever notice as I have not noticed any sort of motion blue yet while watching fast paced movies like Fast and Furious or Uncharted.
With the built in FireTV OS and remote it is also great to access ally digital content that has been purchased in Prime Video or from my other digital movie apps I have linked to my Prime Video account. The speed with WiFi6 is great and apps installed lightening fast when I was adding the apps I enjoy the most. I also have it paired with a Samsung Dolby Atmos sound bar and the sound is fantastic with zero synch issues.
Pros
- Great value for all the features
- Dolby Vision HDR
- Multiple HDMI inputs
- Super fast WiFi
- Quick FireTV interface and features
Cons
- Only a 60hz refresh rate (Really only applies to hardcore gamers)
- Position of Vesa mounting points for wall mounting
Overall this TV is a great value at this price for all the features you get. If you like the FireTV interface and features it is a great pair with this TV and that setup.

Hisense has released their 2025 QD6 TVs which are a great follow-up to their previous lines. The biggest difference is going from Google TV to Fire TV as the Smart TV platform. The new QD6 comes in sizes ranging from 50" to 85". The box includes TV, 2 base stands with 4 mounting screws, spacers for mounting, remote control, 2 AAA batteries, power cord, quick setup guide/paperwork. The TV comes with a manufacturer's 1-year warranty.
Disclaimer: I am reviewing the 65-inch QD6 model (65QD6QF)
PROS:
-----------
* Putting the base stands onto the TV bottom was simple. They can only go on one way, so you can't mess up or get them backwards.
* Initial setup was simple with the remote. The remote itself felt solid just like the ones used with USB Fire TV modules.
* I like that this TV has multiple options for AUDIO OUTPUT - 3.5mm headphone jack, optical, & eARC.
* The QLED 4K picture is very colorful and ultra-clear with a screen that combats moderate glare. This year's model has upgraded from LED to miniLED. The 4K picture looks really great even at the 60Hz rate since it does have AI-upscaling and has Motion Rate 120.
* 4 HDMI inputs with one of those using eARC is enough for most people. Wifi and Ethernet ports are available for smart connections. I use Ethernet when possible due to wired signal stability and have had no issues. Two USB 2.0 ports are available that can provide power to other low-power devices if needed. Both USB ports are 5V/0.5A.
* TV can be wall-mounted (VESA 300x400). There is no mounting hardware provided other than spacers if needed.
* The frameless screen gives a good modern touch to the TV. There is still about a 1/2-inch black border around the screen itself.
* The TV is not incredibly heavy weighing in at ~35 lbs.
* The microphone function works great when bringing up apps or shows.
* The 4K AI Upscaler did a pretty good job at improving the picture of some older movies I tested. And actual 4K content was very good.
* Since it's "Fire TV", nearly every app you would want can be downloaded to the ~10GB storage.
CONS:
-----------
* As with most TVs, it is highly recommended to use a sound bar or sound system of some kind. The sound on this TV is acceptable at a standard 20W; however, still not great... If the volume gets too loud, the chassis tends to vibrate with certain sound frequencies.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS:
-----------
* The remote is very light, has a good feel, and functions well for the most part. There is some lag, but not much.
* The power is indicated by a white power light on the front. The button is located under the power light area and can also be turned OFF in the TV settings if the white power light is distracting when viewing the TV in low-light environments.
* I used eARC for audio and had no issues. I paired some BT headphones to the TV and they worked great with no audio/video delays.
* The IR sensor is located in the bottom/middle of the TV, so if you have a speaker bar that blocks this sensor, you may have issues with, for example, another remote that is paired with this TV but only uses IR instead of BT. If that's the case, you may have to provide some height under the legs so the IR sensor will not be behind your speaker bar.
* TV was packed nicely in the box and was not difficult to remove though 2 people may be preferred for initial unpacking.
CONCLUSION:
=====================
Overall, this TV is a great cheaper option than some of the other manufacturers. The picture itself is fine along with the abundance of popular apps available in the Fire TV Store. All Dolby audio options are available along with 3.5mm which is a plus. All-in-all, a solid TV and a great bang for your buck at this price point. I would absolutely recommend AND buy again.

I’m very happy with this TV, especially considering the price (thanksgiving deal 350$ tax included). The picture quality is very good both during the day and at night, with bright colors and solid contrast. I mainly use it for streaming TV shows, and the image quality has been consistently impressive.
The Fire TV operating system is usable but not the best. Navigation can feel a bit less smooth compared to other platforms. That said, once content is playing, everything works well. Overall, this is an excellent TV for the price and a great option if you want good picture quality without spending a lot.

I’ve been trying out the Hisense 65" QD6 Series Hi-QLED 4K, and honestly, it’s been a great surprise for the price. The colors look vibrant, the picture is sharp, and HDR content definitely pops. The Fire TV system is easy to use, and Alexa voice control makes everything quicker.
It’s not the brightest TV on the market and the interface can lag a bit sometimes, but overall it works really well for streaming, movies, and everyday use.

This 65in QLED TV was a steal for less than $300 as a black Friday special! The colors are super vibrant & the sound is "explosive" for what it is. A great tv/movie watching & gaming experience is to be had when you have this model. Even at the full price, it is justified because of the viewing quality. If you missed the black Friday & cyber Monday sale, I'm sure it will go on sale again for Christmas/New Year's/Superbowl! Don't miss out!
