Customers are enthusiastic about the Hisense U6 Series TV's picture quality, price, and user-friendly features. They appreciate the vibrant colors, excellent contrast, and sharp clarity of the 4K UHD display. The TV's affordability, especially considering its impressive specifications, is a major selling point. Customers also find the Google TV platform intuitive and easy to use, with a wide selection of apps and personalized recommendations.
However, some customers have expressed concerns about the sound quality, with a few reporting occasional sound loss. Additionally, the 60Hz refresh rate may not be ideal for gaming, and the remote control could benefit from more comprehensive functionality.

Hisense 65-Inch Class U6 Series 4K Mini-LED ULED w Google TV
Hisense is known for being at the top of the game in large screen budget TV’s and this 65 inch U6 4k Mini-LED is hard to beat. Quantum Dot Color and Dolby Vision / Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision IQ HDR format brings impressive performance to this set. You also get the convenience of Voice remote and hands-free voice control along with the google assistant. It has full ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth communication. The bezel less design shows off the large screen without taking up a lot of additional territory. It has the full array of connectors including antenna -cable coax port, USB 2 ports, digital audio optical out, 4 HDMI2.0 ports with one being a eARC port and a headphone jack. Under the logo in a little chin panel is the power LED, infrared remote sensor, far field microphones and a microphone mute switch.
The TV has the ability to wall mount it with VESA wall mounts or you can use the included inverted V shaped legs which can be mounted near the edges or closer to the center, allowing for flexibility to accommodate your entertainment stand. The remote is simple and functional with self-explanatory symbols as well as a pin hole microphone. It has a large, white, circular navigation pad near the top with Google Assistant, input, power, settings, and user buttons placed above the pad closer to the top edge. It has dedicated buttons for Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix, Peacock, Tubi, and YouTube.
Hands free Google Assistant is the smart TV platform. It covers all major streaming services and has hundreds of other apps and services available and you can stream from your Android phone or tablet, Chrome device, iPad, iPhone, or Mac thanks to support for both Google Cast and Apple AirPlay 2. Google assistant can even be setup to be used in screenless mode. Alexa is also available.
The best setup for me was Filmmaker mode with the light sensor disabled to increase the brightness level. I also had the high speed movement setup. Base signals 2K and 4K input showed up beautifully and the blacks are a comfortable dark grey – you would have to go to a OLED type of TV at much higher cost to get true blacks. I had a cable connection, Ethernet at 1GB and a PS5 hooked to the TV. The apps did a fine job and Netflix at 4K streaming did equally well through the PS5 or the app. Games are a joy with no smearing or artifacting. 4K movies were outstanding and the in the TV sound system was a surprise at the ability it had to put out good sound and music though I eventually set the TV to use a surround sound sound-bar with sub-woofer. The eARC setup allowed the controller to controlled my sound bar and the video inputs without having to go to another remote control.
Hisense came out with a software firmware upgrade within 24hrs of my first setup. This is the kind of attention I would expect from a new model TV and it was appreciated. The only real thing I could be a niggler on was that the power cord was just under 5ft at the opposite end of the TV from all the other ports … a longer cord would have been nice but luckily this uses the same cables as prior sets so you could get a longer OEM cord.
All in all this is a great unit with exception picture at a excellent value and makes for the top of my list for large screen budget Tv’s

Got TV in mid-Nov, and by beginning of December, there is a dead horizontal pixel line running through the screen. Screen Constantly freezes when trying to go in and out of TV Apps. Would not recommend.

So there’s a lot of people who will kill this tv and tell you to buy a Sony LG or Samsung; I returned a more expensive Samsung for this and honestly, this is superior picture wise.
The OS is garbage, but I also loathe android and google. My approach was the new Apple TV I already had to bypass it all and it take FULL advantage of the Atmos and Dolby this TV has to offer.
I’m looking at this and it looks like what I’d call a “poor man’s OLED” and though I’m not poor, I just can’t justify 2,000 on a TV and neither should you, pay your mortgage principal down some instead.
The remote is trash, it feels like when your mother brought home off brand Golden Grahams as a kid, does the job just not the same but again, Apple TV remote eliminates this hindrance.
Soundbar, can’t tell you how this tv does with sound I’m using a bar though ARC however, the TV does sit low so be aware your bar if on the stand may not fit under the TV.
A common complaint is dead loop after an update, again Apple TV..
Xbox works fine, 60hz 4k is fine, the never ending rat race we’re in to pay just a little more for honestly things we really don’t need is ridiculous, you can’t tell.
If you’re reading this because you’re looking at all this tv has to offer and are concerned because it isn’t a Sony, it’s a TV that reaches beyond the egregious asking price of its competitors.

The Hisense TV comes in oversized packaging to protect the TV. The package weighs approximately 60 pounds and it’s recommended that you have two people carry it. If you have it shipped, you may have to worry about a scheduled delivery with a third-party service because it is an oversized box for standard delivery vendors. One of the things I do like about this unboxing process is that it’s designed for the TV to be stable in the base while you lift the surrounding box off of it. This makes it much easier and safer to get the TV out of the box in my opinion.
The TV comes with an easy to follow Quick Setup Guide, which contains information for Hisense support. In addition to the TV, the box contains the power cord, remote control, 2 base stand, batteries (for the remote), and a set of screws for the base stand. The TV can be installed on a 400x300 VESA wall mount using M6 screws.
We planned on installing this TV in our bedroom to replace a 55-inch HD television which was already wall mounted. The third-party wall mount was a universal mount for TVs up to 80 inches in size. So, we knew it should work with the Hisense TV. We didn’t have any issues affixing the bracket to the back of the TV and lifting it onto the wall mount. We did have to adjust the tilt mechanism on the mount to compensate for the additional weight/size of the new TV but other than that, it worked without any issues.
Because this is a ‘smart’ TV, you don’t technically need to connect any external devices. We did, however, choose to connect our Apple TV 4K via HDMI because that’s what we use for all our streaming services. If you are primarily a Google user, you can simply log in with your Google account and connect to all the main apps used for streaming. A few of them are pre-installed, but not all of them.
We use the TV in our bedroom for watching videos on YouTube and using streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. We subscribe to Hulu with Live TV for our TV-watching service rather than cable or satellite. We haven’t had any issues with using any services with the Hisense TV since we began using it. We’ve been very impressed with the brightness of the TV, which always seems to be an issue when we are watching content. The Dolby Atmos audio has also been quite impressive. We tested it out using Disney+ and thought that the results were just as good as our external sound bars that we have in other parts of our house. The 4K picture resolution is brilliant and the connectivity between the Apple TV and the Hisense television are flawless. One of the issues we’ve struggled with in the past is getting the Apple TV and television to both work with the Apple TV remote. Right from the first start up, both the Hisense remote and the Apple TV remove worked with both devices. While this might seem like a small issue it has caused us a great deal of frustration in the past.
The Hisense U6 Series Mini-LED Google TV is a great option for someone looking to upgrade their entertainment system. It’s easy to get installed and set-up and its picture quality is outstanding. There are many ports to utilize if you have several external devices to connect, but this is a great unit for someone who wants minimal external connections since it has built-in Google TV.

I purchased this on a pre Black Friday deal. The price was right up my ally and delivery was free. Being a lady of more mature years, I could no longer see the hockey puck flying across the ice. So, I decided, all on my own, that a 65" TV would solve that problem. I still can't see the puck flying across the ice. Not because the TV isn't clear. On the contrary. It is so clear and crisp, that the bright white of the ice, glaring out from all glorious 65 inches (of what felt to my unprotected eyeballs), like a billion lumens, seared the back of my eyes and burnt my retinas! If I hadn't been completely blinded, I would have ran from the room screaming just like Gizmo, from the movie Gremlins, "Bright Light! Bright Light!"! Unless you have a larger room to view the TV from a proper distance, say Chicago to Boston, or you are into wearing sunglasses while indoors, because it's the cool thing to do, don't buy this, or any 65" TV. If you think a larger TV, in a smaller room, will solve your aging eye sight issue, you would be incorrect. Save your money for new eye glasses and just get the smaller version of this TV!
*I only gave it 4 stars because of the mount design. It must be mounted parallel to the wall with no tilt, as it would put too much pressure on the structure of the TV and the unsupported upper screen. So if you need it tilted down, it won't be safe. Not sure if the smaller version has the same warnings.
