Customers are enthusiastic about the Hisense U6 Series TV's picture quality, price, and user-friendly features. They appreciate the vibrant colors, excellent contrast, and sharp clarity of the 4K UHD display. The TV's affordability, especially considering its impressive specifications, is a major selling point. Customers also find the Google TV platform intuitive and easy to use, with a wide selection of apps and personalized recommendations.
However, some customers have expressed concerns about the sound quality, with a few reporting occasional sound loss. Additionally, the 60Hz refresh rate may not be ideal for gaming, and the remote control could benefit from more comprehensive functionality.

Best value at its price category

This is the best value TV at its price category. It has mini-LEDs (which make it brighter and give it a higher contrast ratio) and Q-dots (which give it better, brighter colors). It's better for SD or HD than for HDR. Its main weakness is the viewing angle is not wide but its acceptable. In sum, you can spend more and get better performance but in its price range this is the best choice I know of.

Impressive Performance! A TV Worth Every Penny

Using the Hisense U6 TV was an incredible experience. First and foremost, I absolutely love how the bottom TV support holders are positioned in the middle rather than at the sides. Moreover, they are adjustable, which makes it incredibly convenient to place the TV on a smaller table. This approach adds a touch of class to the TV, in my opinion.
When I had friends over, we played the new Mortal Kombat game, and it was an absolute classic. The sharpness, refresh rate, and clarity of the TV were truly unbelievable. I also noticed that the interface was slightly faster compared to my TCL TV in the bedroom, which also runs on the Google TV interface.
Switching to movie-watching mode, the experience was nothing short of amazing. I particularly loved the feature where the TV automatically detects Dolby Vision and switches to it, along with Dolby Atmos for audio. The various color modes were also easily accessible and didn't require any manual adjustments.
Considering its affordable price and impressive qualities, this Hisense U6 is undoubtedly a solid choice. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking great value for their money. Trust me, you'll absolutely love it!

Be Impressed With Hisense

Just received my new 65” Hisense Mini LED Quantum ULED Google TV U6K Series Television. After the easy set up I would have to say I’m pretty impressed for what this costs compared to other major competitors out there. Although this tv looks great with standard HD, the 4K Active HDR really stands out when you stream movies from Apps like Netflix Premium or Disney+. Which I have been doing the last few nights. If you really want to see this TV’s beautiful screen capabilities, make sure to find and stream a movie that has Dolby Vision and you will be wowed! I love the mini LED backlit which offers a peak HDR brightness of an amazing 600 nits with true HDR Pop! Another cool feature the U6K has is that it supports all the major formats like HDR 10, HDR 10, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Vixon IQ automatically adjusting to the picture. Although this has a native 60hz refresh rate, the motion is extremely smooth. I am a big fan of Google TV’s as well which carries all my favorite apps at my fingertips. I am super impressed where Hisense is taking their tv line. I now own two of there tv’s and I’m absolutely satisfied! Keep stepping up Hisense!!

Great budget TV for the price

First I want to thank the Best Buy Trade Insider program for giving this TV to review.
Hisense has quickly risen to the top of being one of the best budget TVs you can along with TCL. This TV continues the tradition of Hisense providing another great TV on a budget price. Right off the bat, I'm actually impressed with how bright and sharp the picture are. This is saying a lot since all of my other TVs at home are LG OLED with the G3 being the newest one I bought. Granted, I had to tinker with the settings like with every new TV (switching out of the picture energy saving mode).
If it matters, the U6 is a Google TV so it provides integration with your Google account. The interface and OS isn't bad, I do feel like the WebOS is a bit more responsive when it comes to roaming the TV setting menus.
That said the TV isn't flawless. Blooming does stick out a little. The HDR and Dolby Vision brightness could be better though having Dolby Vision itself is a nice feature at least. Viewing angles aren't the best though that is somewhat expected of LCD displays.
Moreover, if you're looking at this TV from a gaming perspective, it is a bit lacking because this is only a HDMI 2.0 TV. You do get VRR and Auto Low Latency Mode, but you won't getting 4k 120 fps with this TV. Also while you do have Dolby Vision Gaming for the Xbox, you won't be getting G-sync if you're a PC gamer.
For a secondary TV like the bedroom, I think is a great TV to have. It also depends on how often you use your TV. If you're a gamer or watch many movies and shows, I would try to step up to higher end models (especially an OLED by LG or the QD-OLED by Samsung or Sony if you want the top tier TVs).

Better than average for the price point

I think it's a pretty decent television compared to others in a similar price point. Google TV interface is pretty good and responsive. I do still have an issue where I can't load Prime Video app and can't seem to figure out a solution. Good amount of settings adjustments for picture and sound. Colors and contrast seem good when viewed straight on, but viewing at an angle drops the quality quickly and pretty significantly. Poor viewing angle is the main downside for me and reminds me why I was initially looking at the U7 or U8 series TVs, but they were sold out at the time I was ready to buy. I'm not really unhappy with the U6 because it's probably one of the better TVs at this price point, but I think I should have waited for a U7 or U8 series to come back in stock and pay a little more.

Perfect QLED For Dark Room Viewing.

Great QLED for viewing tv in a dark room. The peak brightness is 600 nits which is not as bright as other QLED tvs (which may cause eye strain in dark rooms) and not as expensive as OLEDs (which are great for dark rooms). Probably not a good tv for gamers, the refresh rate is only 60hz. Nonetheless the picture quality is excellent and includes mini led technology.

This is by far the best TV I have owned. It is budget friendly but yet has premium features. I like a brighter tv so the QLED was meant for me. Sound is great and picture quality is awesome. I do wish it could be 120hz but you get what you pay for. Biggest downside is UI is a bit buggy and not too smooth. Still a solid tv!

What can I say? I absolutely love this tv! As a person that just buys Samsung and Sony tvs, I am very picky but didn't want to spend too much on a bedroom tv. I don't generally like to buy the low end tvs but not the highest end so this seemed just right. But be warned that you do need to buy new hdmi cables! I was replacing a perfectly good 55" Samsung but it was 10 years old and so I used my 10 year old hdmi cables. Bad move. The colors and settings were off and I could not get it right. Once I bought the 8k cables the settings opened up and I just needed to do small tweaks. It was literally night and day to what my eyes were seeing!! Anyways, buy the right hdmi cables and you won't regret buying this tv. I only use my apple tv and it's set to Dolby TV and I have a Vizio M soundbar so I couldn't tell you how the sound is on the tv itself. But overall I'm very happy with this Hisense (formerly Sharp) tv just make sure you have the right HDMI cables!!!

Cant beat the price for an amazing mini-led 65 inch. Image is phenomenal my only concern is that sometimes while watching 4K movies, going into the settings or just navigating anything on the TV becomes very laggy. I guess the processor is outdated or not up to the standards of the TV but otherwise, everything about the TV is amazing!

I asked the Best Buy Associate for recommendations on picture quality and price. Ended up with the U6, which I guess is the lower end of Hisense's flagship product-line. So far so good. I like the ChromeCast functionality. Had an issue with Apple AirPlay, but that was solved by Hard Reset. Overall great TV, no issues. The Best Buy Associate let me know that Hisenses don't have a tendency to last long though (~3 years) given they short cut their chip materials using plastics or whatever. Not a concern for me since I don't plan to keep it for more than 2.5 years. Either way, I have Best Buy Total, so if anything has issues, its going back. I have the TV hooked up with Sonos, so don't have any idea on TV audio quality.

Good value and price for a 4K 65 inch LED TV

Compared with my old full HD tv, my new 4K Hisense ULED U6 really pops out the colors. I'm still adjusting the colors to make maximum use of this TV. On my old TV, when you check out the detail page of a movie in Disney+, it would show HD. With the Hisense, Disney+ recognize it as 4K and would stream it as 4K and not HD. This a a Google TV even though I am not a fan. I like the Roku interface better. Just to note, I did have a Roku 4K streaming stick attached to one of the HDMI port. But beware that since 4K processing produces more heat, the Roku stick popped up with an overheating message after using it for a couple of hours. Got a free HDMI extender from Roku today but the stick still felt hot as before. So that may not resolve this issue. Guess I might have to stick with the Google TV for streaming. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase so far and will continue to tweak all the various settings.

The TV has excellent picture and works great for my PS5. The built in google tv leaves a lot to be desired though. It is very laggy swapping through menus, changing apps or adjusting settings. I will continue to use my Shield for all of those functions.
