When I saw this 2025 Hisense U6 available at Best Buy, I thought it would be a great secondary TV for our house. When I looked at the specs and saw that it had Mini-LED as well as native refresh rate at 144HZ (Not Motion Rate, NATIVE) it really got me excited. It was very easy to setup and I already had a Prime account from a firestick so I had all my apps and account good to go within minutes. The one thing that really impressed me was the sound right out the box before I even connected my soundbar to it. It had a lot of bass and clarity which a lot of the cheaper TVs do not have. After using it for the first hour, I made the decision to make it our primary living TV and replaced our TV that I spent twice the amount a couple years ago. There are tons of customizations that you can apply to best fit your needs whether it is playing video games or watching a movie. I am pleased to say I am happy with my purchase and I highly recommend anyone who wanted a premium TV but didn’t want to spend over $1k for it. The one complaint is that I prefer Google TV over Fire TV because of the constant Ads that are shown on the home screen upon turning on the TV. I wish there was a function turn it off. There is a function where you can turn off the auto play videos and audio but I would like a function to completely remove it all and just have the apps and inputs.

I purchased the 65 inch TV for my living room the kids love it. While I was watching this specific show picture has vibrant colors during the daylight scenes and during the darker since where they had a lot of them the I was able to see the different shades the QLED Color and Mini-LED brightness did the job. I love the fact that it has the build in subwoofer because while watching action movies which we love to watch the sound was great. At time one point the motion latency was bad but I was able to change the setting from FILM to SMOOTH and that was a game changer, motion is now very smooth I was very impressed on how much it changed. I also the Filmmaker Mode is a great feature and how it automatically switches on on, with all the features watching TV has become a better experience with this TV in some cases I even thought I had a 3D TV, I had to turn off the AI light adjustment not sure it if was because of the lighting in the room but it was not a feature that I enjoyed, even with that this was a great purchase.

I'm impressed with the Hisense 65 UG Series Smart Fire TV. I like that the TV was easy to set up and was hassle-free. It took only minutes to update the software on the TV. The remote is a good size, easy to understand, and responsive. The Fire TV operating system allowed me to easily add my apps and access my streaming services. I like how I'm able to easily switch between the different apps. I also love that they provide free streaming apps like Amazon Freevee. It has vivid colors and exceptional picture quality. The bright colors are bright, and the dark colors are rich. When watching movies, I feel like I'm in the theater. The sound is good and can be heard even from a distance. This TV has exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it.

The Hisense 65" U6 Series MiniLED QLED absolutely blew me away! The picture quality is incredibly sharp and vibrant, thanks to the MiniLED and QLED combo—deep blacks, brilliant colors, and smooth motion whether I’m watching movies, sports, or gaming.
The 4K HDR really brings out all the details, especially in dark scenes. Sound is surprisingly good too—clear and loud without needing a soundbar (though I’ll probably add one later for a full home theater experience).
I also love the Fire TV interface—it’s super easy to use, loads fast, and gives me instant access to all my streaming apps like Netflix, Prime, Disney+, and YouTube. Voice control with Alexa is a great bonus too.
For this price range, you’re getting features typically found in much more expensive TVs. It's the perfect upgrade for our living room—great value, beautiful design, and smart functionality all in one. Highly recommended!

I’ve been using this Hisense TV for a while and it truly meets my expectations, even larger than my expected, which is pretty good. The picture quality is crisp and vibrant and the sound is clear and full. The most important to me is that it's compatible with Apple Airplay. I think everything runs smoothly without issues. Overall, it offers great value for the quality and worth the bucks.

The picture is very clear, the sound effect is very good, and the 65-inch one is also very big. Since I bought it, I have spent more time in the living room. I like lying on the sofa and watching TV very much. It is a very good shopping experience and worth buying.

When choosing a TV there are not only a couple of things to consider such as size and price, there are more and we may not be fully aware of it. Coupled with this today there are so many brands and types of technology that it can become overwhelming to make a choice that seems simple. As I analyze this TV I will try to clarify what was unknown to me but turned out to be very useful.
Let's talk about the first two things that although they are not the only ones are important, the price and the size. Regarding the price this TV is in a relatively fair price range for what it offers and its size, it has a fair value for money for a 65" TV. And speaking of size, the important thing to consider is where the TV is going to be installed and how big the space is, because the distance from the TV to where people will sit to watch it, is what determines what size TV we choose. For example, if we acquire a 75" TV for a place where people will be very close to the screen due to lack of space, they will see an unpleasant image to the point that they can see the pixels of the TV. In my case, the space between the TV and the sofa is a little more than 3 meters so 65" is perfect. There are some mathematical formulas on the internet that can be used to verify what would be the ideal size of the screen we plan to buy.
The other features to check are the type of backlighting, type of color reproduction technology, TV resolution, refresh rate, and type of software or AI used to enhance the picture and sound. For us to see images on the screen there must be a light source and different layers and filters working together. This 65" Hisense U6 TV has a FALD (Full Array Local Dimming) lighting with Mini-LED technology (smaller LEDs therefore fit more and illuminate better), this allows specific areas to be illuminated and not the entire panel, giving darker blacks and better contrast in colors as well as brightness. All this is controlled by ULED technology which is the combination of Mini-LED, FALD, and QLED technology. The latter is essentially a filter through which the light emitted by the LEDs passes, balancing the green and red colors for better color reproduction. There are different types of resolutions and this TV is 4k (2160p) which is already the standard in the market. While not all content on platforms is 4K, most of it is already produced in that format, so it is more than enough resolution at this time. Regarding the refresh rate, this TV has a 144Hz rate which is great for gaming and watching sports. In simple words, the refresh rate is the ability of the TV to reproduce images per second, this TV is 144Hz which is pretty good, it is a little more complex but it is just to exemplify. A higher refresh rate allows fluidity in the images and more when watching sports or playing video games. In competitive gaming 144Hz is a standard although there are higher rates of course, so it is a very good amount of Hz.
As I mentioned, to improve the image, the different technologies applied in the form of hardware are accompanied by software for better performance, such as ULED, or licenses such as Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, which allow us to see more vivid colors, brighter, deep blacks, more accurate colors. All this processing is also done with AI, helping to improve sound, image, and brightness.
The image of this Hisense TV is great, the colors look amazing, blacks look really dark instead of that “grayish” black. The content in 4K format looks crispy and clear. With the help of HDR looks pretty good also in gaming, the TV recognizes if you are playing video games and changes the settings for a better experience. The speakers sound good, although it does lack a bit of punch in the bass the volume is more than enough. The TV works on the Fire TV platform and you need an Amazon account and the Fire TV app to set it up, the process is simple and takes a few minutes. The remote control is small and has voice assistance, as well as shortcuts to apps like disney plus, netflix and prime video, batteries are included. In the box comes only the TV, stand, power cord, remote control, user manual, and warranty documentation. No HDMI or digital audio cable is included. On the back of the TV are the HDMI inputs two 60Hz and two 144Hz, a very useful feature. There is also the antenna input (open TV or cable service), AV, Ethernet, Digital Audio, USB, and headphones.
The operating system of the TV for me is fine, I have used other fire TVs and I'm a little familiar with it. The apps are easy to find and access. The settings are clear. You can customize the TV in many aspects, plus the remote control has a quick menu that I consider very helpful.
In summary, this 65" Hisense U6 TV is a great option if you are looking for a TV in this size and price range. It is a TV with technology that provides a pleasant experience, vibrant and bright colors, deeper blacks, accuracy in color reproduction, it is compatible with HDR content and Dolby vision with resolutions up to 4K. This is a TV that really serves for gaming with a refresh rate of 144Hz, improved image quality and sound with AI, etc.. This product has features of high-end TVs at an affordable price, definitely a TV that I can recommend.

This is my 3rd Hisense TV and I have to say, I’ve been impressed with the quality of all of them, especially this one. 65” is a perfect size for my master bedroom.
It came nicely packaged and protected and I didn’t have to remove the plastic protective covering until after I had it hung on the wall so I got no fingerprints or anything on the screen during install which was nice.
The TV fired right up and I was met with a screen to connect to my WiFi network. Once l connected, the TV took about 7 minutes for a software update. Following the software update, I was able to log in to my Amazon account, go to the App Store, and download the streaming apps I subscribe to. Very simple and easy setup with no issues.
I love the picture quality of this TV. The colors are superb and the Dolby Atmos and 4K are stunning. Hisense is definitely a strong competitor among the other popular brands and there is no reason to pass this TV up. The mini led backlighting and full array local dimming really benefit the HDR performance on this TV. It also supports Dolby Vision IQ which is awesome!
It has enough HDMI connections and gaming on this TV is amazing. Native 144Hz refresh rate, VRR and ALLM support make this TV fantastic to game on! Game mode plus includes auto low latency which is also great.
I was a little nervous about getting a FireTV since I’ve always owned Google TV operating systems but I like the change. I am integrated into the Amazon ecosystem so I do get to take advantage of the built in smart home features which is nice. One thing I did notice was there is no Apple TV+ app in the App Store. I have a subscription to Apple TV+ and frequently enjoy some of the exclusive shows. This isn’t that much of a problem as I can stream via Airplay or just switch the input to my Apple TV.
Overall this TV is excellent! Great picture, great sound, decent FireTV app. I would highly recommend this TV for anyone looking for a great TV within this particular budget bracket.

A Game-Changer in Our Home Entertainment

The Hisense 65" Smart Fire TV, and from unboxing to setup, it's been an impressive experience.
Packaging & Setup:
The packaging is cleverly designed—once the shrink wrap is removed, the entire box slides up, making unpacking incredibly convenient. While the included screws for the legs didn’t fit, we had suitable replacements on hand, so it wasn’t a major setback. The setup process was seamless, with a remote entry screen that makes password input efficient by having both numbers and letters on the same screen.
Software & Features:
Downloading the latest software was quick and easy, unlocking a vast selection of channels, including Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Tubi, and many others—some of which we’d never accessed on our previous TV. Logging into Amazon via my phone was simple.
One of the coolest features is the ability to display art or personal photos when walking into the room, adding a modern and personal touch to our space (called ambient screen). Alexa integration is fantastic—this was my first time using it, and I was pleasantly surprised by its accuracy and responsiveness. The TV also offers helpful hints on the bottom of the screen, ensuring a smooth user experience.
Design & Display:
The ultra-thin bezel enhances the viewing experience, giving the screen a sleek, modern aesthetic. But the standout feature is undeniably the picture quality—it’s so crisp and hyper-realistic that it almost feels like looking through a window into another world. Every detail pops with stunning clarity - almost like 3-D.
Remote & Audio:
The remote is thoughtfully designed, with easy access to key functions. Alexa’s integration with the remote makes navigating movies, shows, and channels incredibly convenient—particularly the quick-link to Amazon Prime Video channels. One minor drawback was figuring out how to connect audio headphones without muting the TV. The instructions could be clearer, but we discovered that using an optical connector solved the issue.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, the Hisense 65" Smart Fire TV has exceeded expectations, delivering an immersive viewing experience with a wide range of features. While the leg screws were an inconvenience and the headphone connectivity instructions could be improved, the outstanding picture quality, smart features, and intuitive user interface more than make up for it.

No Nonsense with this Hisense

The Hisense U6 Series Mini-LED QLED 4K Smart Fire TV offers a solid balance of features and affordability, with impressive color performance once properly adjusted.
Sharpness & Upscaling
One noticeable drawback is that lower-resolution content (such as 1080p or below) doesn’t appear as sharp as it does on your current 1080p TV. Some details can appear soft or slightly blurry, especially in fast-moving scenes. I recommend setting the motion setting to Smooth which helps the motion and go into the Clarity setting and turn sharpness all the way up. This seemed to do the trick. The native refresh rate is 144hz versus my current TV that is 240hz, so that is probably what I am seeing side by side. Your picture tweaks only affect the input you are watching, which is a nice feature.
However, when watching native 4K content, the TV truly shines. 4K shows and movies look crisp, detailed, and immersive, taking full advantage of the Mini-LED backlighting and AI processing.
Side note; when compared to my prev. Hisense TV, this one is a huge improvement. They have really stepped it up.
Color Performance
Out of the box, the colors may need some tweaking, (Too saturated for my liking), but once adjusted, the image quality is very impressive. Fine-tuning settings like color temperature, saturation, and local dimming helps bring out rich, vibrant tones with deep contrast. The Quantum Dot technology ensures a wide color gamut, making movies and shows look dynamic and lifelike.
Sound Quality
When it comes to audio performance, the Hisense U6 Series offers a nice sound experience for a flat panel, though it may not be on par with high-end sound systems. The built-in speakers provide clear dialogue and adequate bass, but for a more immersive experience, connecting an external soundbar or speaker system is recommended. The TV supports Dolby Atmos, which enhances the overall sound quality and creates a more dynamic and engaging audio landscape.
Smart Features
The Hisense U6 Series integrates the Fire TV platform, offering a seamless smart TV experience. The interface is intuitive and responsive, with easy access to streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and many more. Voice control through Alexa is efficient, allowing you to search for content, control TV settings, and even manage smart home devices with ease. The app selection is vast, ensuring that all your entertainment needs are met.
Pressing the power button once, turns your TV into a picture show or an aquarium. You can even add widgets to this standby screen.
Audio and Video Inputs
The Hisense U6 is equipped with a variety of audio and video inputs to ensure compatibility with a wide range of devices and enhance your overall entertainment experience. It includes multiple HDMI ports that support high-definition video and audio, including one HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) port for easy connection to soundbars or AV receivers. Additionally, there are USB ports for media playback and firmware updates, a composite input for older devices, and an optical audio output for connecting to external audio systems. The TV also features built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet ports for stable internet connectivity, ensuring smooth streaming and browsing.
Overall Experience
While lower-resolution content may need a couple tweaks, the Hisense U6 Series delivers excellent 4K performance with deep blacks, solid HDR capabilities, and a smooth Fire TV interface. If you primarily watch 4K content, this TV provides a great viewing experience, especially after adjusting the color settings. If you are looking to game or want an even smoother view, you may want to consider the U7 or U8 which have the higher 165hz refresh rate. (Of course at a higher cost)

The Hisense - 65" Class U6 Series Mini-LED QLED UHD 4K Smart Fire TV (2025) looks and sounds great. First, I connected my Wifi to the TV. I then connected the Fire TV to my Amazon account. Once connected with my Amazon account, I was able to install the apps previously installed on my older Fire devices. By opening up device and software, I was able to initiate Developer Options. Developer Options allow the installation of third party apps not in the Goggle Play store. ADB and USB debugging become active over the network. The picture is in sharp detail. All of the colors are vibrant with no bleeding edges. The volume is more than loud for a living room, only half of the volume is needed to fill a decent size family room. The storage is over 20 GB, which will hold dozens of apps to program your TV with your favorite entertainment. The remote command functions quickly moving in and out of apps or watching DTV.
I like the Hisense - 65" Class U6 Series Mini-LED QLED UHD 4K Smart Fire TV (2025) and find no problems with it.

The colors are vibrant, and everything just pops off the screen. Game Mode is clutch too. Super low input lag. It’s smooth, no stuttering, and no laggy frames. Just crisp visuals and tight response time. The Fire TV interface is smooth and easy to use, plus it’s loaded with all the apps. Alexa built-in is a nice touch. Bottom line: this TV’s a beast. We've been testing the new Hisense 65" U6 Series Mini-LED QLED Fire TV (2025), and it’s seriously impressive for the price. The picture quality is vibrant and sharp thanks to the Mini-LED backlighting and QLED color, and it’s bright enough to hold up even in sunny rooms.
