This TV would have been a decent value for the price, but there's a noticeable cluster of pixels that are defective and are as distracting as when a fly lands on the TV. Extremely disappointing and I'll have to schlep a 65" TV back to the store for a return. Not a pleasant experience at all. Panel uniformity needs to be a priority.

This is the perfect value TV! Nice picture quality at 4k, 1080p, and broadcast. Very easy setup with an intuitive guide process to get the most out the built in Android TV features. The voice controls work well and the sound is pretty good, for built in speakers. The gaming mode is great with excellent, responsive picture and it is great for sports! Overall, I would definitely recommend this for someone looking for a family room or living room TV!

Best bang for your buck budget 4K HDR TV

The Hisense U6G 65" 4K TV! Best bang for your buck budget 4K HDR TV with excellent video quality! Getting up and runnign was a breeze with just plugging in power & HDMI/streaming device. I have mine hooked up to a Chromecast with Google TV and with my desktop that i use as a HTPC. Though the U6G is a smart TV, i still prefer a dedicated streaming device as they are more streamlined and have better variety of apps.
The initial setup involves a setup wizard which is fairly quick to go through and takes around 5 minutes to get the TV connected to your home network via Wifi or ethernet. After that you are pretty much good to go to start binging shows, watching sports, etc.
So far, i've noticed this TV does very well across multiple content usage. Since i have my desktop connected to it as well, gaming on it is very good. I've not notice any response time issues and the panel itself doesn't really show much input lag. HDR content on this TV is great with very excellent contrast. Only drawback is the peak brightness is only decent. If you are placing this TV in a very bright setting (near windows with a lot of natural lighting during the day), then the TV will struggle a bit to bring out some of those beautiful colors. This is easily solved with some blackout curtains or shades.
All the HDMI inputs are all 4k 60hz, which is very nice for not having to worry about which port you are connecting to to get a fluid viewing experience. HDMI ARC is also provided and works as expected. I am currently using an LG 7.1 soundbar via HDMI ARC and have not had any issues. The TV comes also provides a pretty standard 300mmx200mm VESA mounting pattern and is easily mountable.
Overall, i am very happy with the Hisense U6G and would higly recommend it for anyone looking to get an affordable 4K HDR TV. For the price, you get a lot of screen real estate, great the features, and good port selection!

3 months after our purchase, we have these black spots on our TV. I read this may be an issue but hoped this wouldn’t be an issue for ours. Not seeing a way to contact anyone about this issue since the return window is closed. There is no way a TV should last only 3 months.

In 2016 I bought one of the 1st Sony 4k HDR TV's that cost an arm and leg. This Hisense Class U6G Series Quantum ULED 4K UHD TV not only competes but surpasses the picture of that Sony at half the price.
The setup is very easy. If you use android phones and have a google account you will be automatically set up with a pass code sent to your phone. Once paired the TV will connect to your wifi and you will be able to use the installed apps, download other apps and cast from your phone to the TV.
The picture out of the box is very good but you can make many adjustments to get the picture to your liking. I used the vibrant picture mode and a higher contrast and lower brightness then the preset to get what i think is a great picture. (see pic)
I do need to close the curtains in the room I am watching in or the tv gets a glare from the sun coming through. I also seem to get the best picture when I plug my DirecTV HDMI cable into my sound bar and hook the sound bar into the ARC port on the side of the tv. The sound of the TV wasn't bad but my sound bar has rear speakers and a sub and the TV can't match that sound.
The remote is great as it has 1touch buttons to open aps like Netflix, Disney and Peacock, and has google voice assistance to search just about anything from directions to sports scores to movie times and everything in between.
I would highly recommend you at least look at this TV if your are in the market for a great 4k TV and don't want to pay for the "BIG NAME" TV to get the exact same picture.

This TV punches way above its price point. Did a TON of research to replace my 2015 TCL 4 series that I only bought because it was a great deal, and it ended up being a fine TV. I was planning on buying a TCL 5 series because I wanted to upgrade to 65", keep Roku, and stay under $1k. Hisense was the last beans I researched after deciding on the TCL 5, and since the TCL was unavailable almost everywhere at the time, I rolled the dice on the Hisense with a 5yr protection plan in case reliability becomes an issue (it's still an "off" brand, in my opinion) for less than the TCL in total. The picture quality on this TV is absolutely fantastic. The local dimming (this is one of the least expensive TV's I found with it) is superb, and really adds to the movie watching experience. 4K looks incredible and I'm not missing Roku after the newest updates to the Android TV UI. I especially love that it has Chromecast built in, so my old Chromecast dongle can stay with the old tv in the basement. I recommend looking at the recommended picture settings on rtings.com, and adjusting them from there to fit your taste and your specific room/lighting situation. FYI, I won't be using this for gaming much if at all, but the 7 series Hisense, from what I read, is the same TV with higher refresh rate for gaming. I loathe motion smoothing for movies and my biggest complaint about my TCL was that there was no option to turn off the "motion assist" or whatever nonsense. This TV has the option to turn it on, but it was off by default.

Excellent picture quality for the price. Coming from a Panasonic plasma was a little concerned about contrast, black level and shadow detail. Have been surpised how well this set performs in comparison. Motion is not as fluid as the plasma, however its not bad at all and not an issue for me. Colors look great after a few tweaks. HDR and especially Dolby Vision look amazing. Plenty bright enough for my needs and the Google interface and apps work well.

Was looking for a replacement for my 60" plasma that was still working fine.Thought I would get with the times and move up to 4k. Wife didnt give me much of a budget so I had to look for something in my price range and wasnt expecting much. So I researched and researched and everything I read kept bringing me to this Hisense. Ive always been a Samsung guy so I was a bit timid to consider it,but every review I read said it was the best bang for the buck. So I took the chance and Im so glad I did. The blacks are black, the colors are vibrant and crisp. The brightness is fine for me. A little glare late afternoon on the screen but nothing major. The sound was pretty amazing for a tv. The dolby atmos fills the room. If it had more bass I would use it over my older yamaha sound bar. If you are looking for a great priced TV with a great picture, buy this!

This TV is amazing. It's super bright which has been something I've been battling with with my old TV. This replaced my ol 4k HDR living room TV, so it's usually being bombarded by the full luminosity of the sun, and it handles it no problem. The colors and picture quality is also really nice. The bezels are mostly nonexistent, and the HDR is nice thanks to the dimming array this set has. The speakers also have a decent sound, but i'd still reccomend a cheap soundbar or bluetooth 5.0 speaker to get more bassy sound. I just wish the remote was connected to the tv via bluetooth like the samsung and firestick enabled tv's are. Also Android TV on this TV can be sluggish at times.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from this TV. RTINGS.com gave it a good score and reviews seemed solid enough that I took a chance on it and I’m glad I did. I bought this for some friends who needed an upgrade but didn’t need things like HDMI 2.1 or 120Hz. This TV has some great image quality and really good black levels for a non OLED panel. Picture is fairly vibrant, but could use a bit of tweaking to get it just right but overall this TV is really solid. Android TV, runs fairly well but would love to see it upgraded to Google TV in the future, my friends loved the fact that they could link the TV to Alexa and it’s worked very well so far. I’d say if you don’t need the latest and greatest as far as technology goes, but you need a TV with great picture quality, you should definitely consider this TV.

I've had this TV for close to a month now and absolutely love it. The quality for the price is to be commended. Surprisingly, this very little calibration needed unlike other TV's I've owned. Most of the presets are spot on after adjusting a couple of things like backlight and color temperature. It has super quick response time so there's no need for motion smoothing which, fortunately this TV doesn't even have. The Full Array Local Dimming is incredible and this tv produces some great blacks and also some blinding brights. Watching Avengers: Infinity War, Doctor Strange's magic glows with high intensity. Darker movies in a dark room, you can't even tell where the bezel ends and the room begins. Overall I'm extremely pleased with everything I've put it through so far.

Admittedly I wasn't planning on getting a new TV - I wanted to wait until OLED models were more reasonably priced. However, plans changed and I got this on a deal for a significant discount.
Have to say I couldn't be happier! The image is beautiful, and local dimming really makes the blacks look very nice compared to other LED backlit TVs.
One complaint is that many of the AI features (like "content recognition") are complete garbage. However it is pretty much standard procedure to disable a lot of crappy built-in features on *any* TV, so this isn't a huge drawback.
Love the Android TV integration, but I wish Google would bring the more-polished "Google TV" experience to these types of TVs.
Overall I'm happy to recommend this product.

I bought this tv in 2022. I could not be happier. I went to the store to look at various models. LG, Samsung, Sony, Hisense. I don't make any high dollar purchase without research. Went home, started reading reviews, and decided on the Hisense. It had more features than the major brands at the same price. Once you get it calibrated, as you should with all tv's, the picture is amazing. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend Hisense to any buyer.
