    While I have not gone the OLED route because of cost per inch and my television viewing patterns, I do currently own several top tier televisions including the late, GREAT Panasonic 65VT60 plasma that I keep only to watch my 50 or so 3D movies in addition to 75" and an 85" Sony X900Fs that are arguably Sony's best mass marketed LED sets as they, like LG and Panasonic, now put their R&D money into OLED. So my reference points for a television are very accomplished and highly regarded TVs. This Hisense as an "everyday driver" of a television cannot be beat for value. I do NOT use it as the centerpiece of a full-blown home theater as I use my 85" X900F, which is complemented by an Atmos 12 speaker Klipsch reference premier system, for that. Instead, the Hisense occupies the top of my chest of drawers in my bedroom and I've been using it for Fox News Fair and Balanced and some Amazon Prime viewing as well as live sports when the bed seems the place to be vs the home theater. For these types of viewing the Hisense is a legitimate steal of a set. I see ZERO motion lag, no DSE (critical for hockey viewing), blooming really doesn't matter but in the few scenes I've watched it doesn't seem to be a big issue, and color accuracy is fairly solid (not to the level of the vaunted Sony's but close enough for government work). I don't care about the "smart" tv functions since I have a Firestick for those and I use a DirecTV mini-genie. I also use a Sony 7-channel soundbar that decodes DTS-MA and Dolby TruHD, but I can vouche that the speakers on this television do just fine for the casual viewer. Overall, I cannot imagine a better value for a 4k tv. I compared this with the TCL equivalent and the specs on this just seemed better and the reviews across several outlets favored the Hisense...I can understand why given the positive attributes of this set. Final note: I have always waited for technology to mature before jumping on any bandwagon...from the Apple Watch to plasma TVs to the iPhone to the C7 Corvette I never buy the first year of anything. So I normally get my "stuff" at the apex of its development curve when all of the kinks have been worked out...for the plasmas it was when TVs had largely solved the plasma burn-in issue...for the Vette it was when Chevy solved several quality issues from the 2014 version of the Stingray so I bought a 2016 Z06. With televisions, the move toward OLED is inevitable so we are at the apex of LED technology. Buy now to get the best values before all manufacturers go to the much more expensive OLEDs that have their own challenges. In sum: This is not a great TV. It's a great value. It holds its own vs Sony's that cost much more...but it's still not a top tier LED and nowhere near an OLED. But it's rock solid in most applications. Buy this television and you'll be a happy camper. You can thank me later.

    Hisense TV defective

    We had the TV for 25 dats and the screen went black with sound only for one day then went permanently black. . Called company was suppose to have repairman in 48 hours, never contacted us , attempted to call Best Buy on hold for 15 minutes then disconnected us. Still working on to replace / get a refund. This should be under lemon law. TV defective.

    Not good for live sports

    I bought it to watch live sports (via a streaming service), but this TV is not good for that. Very choppy picture that couldn’t keep up with the speed of live sports. This TV may well be very good for other things, but is not good at all for live sports.

    Don’t buy this trash TV. It turned off while I was watching it after having it for about 24hours and it never turned back on again. I read reviews that this TV has this problem. It should not even be sold at all. Please stay away

    My review is for The Hisense U6G 65" ULED . It is important to know the different models within the Hisense family because it can be very confusing. Having said that I have to say that this U6G 65" Hisense TV is a very impressive TV. The colors are rich with no bleed. They are vibrant and clear. The blacks are solid and the multitude of color settings you can choose has something for everyone. I have only had this TV for a week plus, but the video is stunning. The 4D content I have played is amazing. I own a Samsung TV and the color difference is night and day. Hisense is much better. You have to see the TV to believe it in terms of color. Words do no justice. Hisense hit a grand slam with the color presentation. The TV is very light for the size. It comes with a TV stand, but I like my flat panel TVs to be mounted on the wall. The sound is loud enough, but a bit hollow to my ear. This is not to be critical of Hisense. I have never seen a flat panel TV with great sound quality. This one is good, not great. I will be hooking up my sound bar to this TV. The remote has pre-set buttons for Netflix, YouTube, etc.., I do find the remote a bit slow to respond to my touch commands. It is not bad, but it is a bit slow. The voice feature works very well and has quick response time. With an LED screen the cost of operating the TV is very affordable. The paperwork in the box estimated the electrical cost to be $36 annually. The TV is pre-populated as a smart TV with the well known apps and a few others, but Hisense needs to develop a greater list of apps. For me this is not a problem because I hooked up my fire stick as a supplement to the 'smart tv' function of the TV. The smart tv function operates as android tv. There are 4 HDMI ports There are digital ports and optical ports too. Hisense amazed me with the picture quality, build quality, and features. I definitely recommend this TV.

    Delivered with a completely destroyed screen but the shipping box was fine. Hisense manufacturing is at fault. Hugely disappointed in this brand so far.

    Zero stars. Had the tv for 23 days and back lights went oit and i had 3 dark spots on the screen. Would not recommend this product to anybody.

    Was a great tv till it wasn't.

    Purchased on Nov 9th, 2021. The first 2 year (while under warrant) the tv was exactly what yoy woild want from a tv. Then it wouldn't open apps, or the app couldn't update because of "lack of space" but even when we deleted several apps, it would give us the same message. Now, it still does all of that but wont turn on unless we unplug it for a minutes first. It will stay on after that but if it is off for more than an hour or so, we have to unplug and plug it back it to get it to turn on. Again, all of this started right at the warranty ended. Picture is great! Added a sound bar cause the speakers weren't great but we knew that going in based off other reviews.

    First, this is a great TV. We received our TV and immediately had it mounted. I never had a 65" TV before, so the size is really nice, especially on the wall in our living room. The picture quality of the TV is superb. I didn't realize how big of a difference great picture quality can make until receiving my new TV. Makes the movie experience so much better. I also love the fact that there are a ton of apps pre-installed and that I can stream directly from my phone. The price for this one is also great for the quality.     Outstanding picture quality and incredible value! I tried out the 43 LG UP7000, the 50 inch LG nanocell and the 55 inch Hisene U6. Hisene beats both LGs out mainly due to the full array backlight it has. The contrast ratio on the Hisene makes for a much brighter TV while still delivering exceptional colors and black level. I have it hooked up to play my switch and I love the vivid color profile. Usually on other tvs this mode causes alot of blooming of colors but not here. This set for the price is a 10 out of 10.

    I must say this Hisense 65U6G TV has far exceeded my expectations. This is our first smart TV... we were not expecting so many fun features! To say I am very impressed by the quality of the picture and the sound is a massive understatement. We purchased the 65" model and it is HUGE! It just barely fits on the TV stand, but we made it work. The feet that the TV stand on are surprisingly stable. We connected the TV using the optical cable. We are now considering switching to bluetooth as there are now so many wires that are causing a bit of clutter behind the TV stand. We just successfully used the voice remote the other night - it has been quite useful! I love that my TV can give me the weather forecast at any given moment all while not disrupting what I'm watching. That is a pretty cool feature! I also really like the fact that the Google assistant is embedded in the TV as well. It is very useful! We mainly use the TV for streaming Netflix and watching DVDs. I can see this TV lasting us a very long time. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone looking for a great quality smart TV at a reasonable price. We received this product at a reduced cost in exchange for our honest & unbiased review.

    We put his TV in our room over the garage and it is great. It is bright enough to overcome the bright room with several windows. The picture is beautiful and the sound is fantastic. So far so good with this TV

    Bought this to replace a 50" 4K TV in our master suite. Our large bedroom needed a large TV but I didn't want a 75". This was a great choice. The picture is bright and clear. I have a Sony 65" with Android so this TV was easy to setup for us. I have it on an articulating wall mount so I can adjust this super light weight TV to any viewing in the room. I paired it with a Visio 2.1 soundbar and wow. Very happy with my choice so far. Some reviews indicated artifacts in the screen but I have seen none. The icing on the cake was it was on sale for $599.
