Just not quite good enough

I did plenty of research and wire cutter among others considered this brand to be the best value for the money. Unfortunately, I would have been better off spending a few hundred more for an LG or Samsung. With the refresh rate at 144Hz I had expected sports to be more clear. We watch a lot of football as well as soccer and tracking the ball was better on my old 60Hz Sharp. With the direct lit screen I had hoped to see truer Black colors, especially on dark movie scenes etc. We have not found this to be the case. The tv is not all bad. The volume is good, and I do like the interface overall. I wish I had returned this particular model within the 30 day window and just gone with something else, but I was trying to give this one a chance

Not great quality!

Wireless constantly cuts out even though all other devices in house have a connection. GTV is NOT a great operating system especially compared to Roku. And I'm a hardcore Android/Google user for everything else digital in my life. Yes, it has 3.0 tuner but never has channel information in the guide unless you select channel, wait for it to load and then go back to guide to view program info. I could go on but I won't. Emailed HiSense support 2 weeks ago - no response! I'm returning it and won't buy HiSense again.

Wifi Not Connecting, Good quality

Somehow forgets and cant connect until you go to settings and turn WIFI on and off. Other than some lag you can remove by restarting TV its pretty good.

STAY AWAY FROM HISENSE!!!

Hisense products are bottom of the barrel, cheap, use and throw sanitary napkin quality. These things stay on the store shelves and come down to less than 70 percent of the original price, or buy open box. Maybe then, you can consider buying this tv, for example. But if you have any wiggle room for spending a bit more money, consider Samsung, Sony or any other actual brands. I owns a Samsung mini led tv and one of these U7’s. My Samsung is pleasant to watch content and apps actually work without lag, easy to use. My U7 lags, sometimes freeze just by turning on the youtube app. Can’t wait to replace this junk with something from a better manufacturer.

Pretty Junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful picture, lots of features...just barely had TV over 3 months(start of April) and it started to shut off every few minutes...Warranty covered issue, replaced power supply and main board. Worked great until August of same year and now TV is doing the exact same thing again. Opened new case with Hisense. My TV is hooked up to a ONEAC UPS....junk tv...stay away.
