    The tv only lasted few days before it collapsed. Unsure if it was the base or a screw wasn't tighted enough. However, best buy insurance doesn't cover accidental damage so waste of money. I recommend the tv but not to purchase it on best buy, use another retailer that has accidental damage cover.

    We purchased this TV based on reviews and for the price it is good but not excellent. However, I should not have expected excellence at the price. I also found google tv set up frustrating. I wouldn't buy again and would return if it wasn't already mounted by a professional.

    This TV often can’t connect to my WiFi!! My other devices are very normal. I don’t know why! Without WiFi this TV is garbage.

    Was loving the tv, got it September 4th this year and it was pretty and did everything i needed for gaming. Last week or so it jad an uodate and im not sure if its a coincidence but simce than ive been having little lines flsh for a second and even black screens pop up when im playing on my consoles regardless of which hdmi i am using. Ive tried different systems, a brand new 50 dollar hdmi, all the ports restarting the systems and the tv, and a few other things i was hopeing would help but it always ends uo having the little lines flash and eventually black screens. I love the tv otherwise has all the features i wanted and worked and looked great till all this so its a bummer. Im trying to get ahold of support and hopefully they can help me sort it out. When that happens i will update this. Like i said loved it till this happned and its nit common but it can happen so if they can help me id gladly recommend it

    Good Price, Poor Performance

    I had a Hisense 65U8H (2022) TV, which was excellent, but after 1.5 years, the picture quality started to degrade. I contacted customer service, and they were very responsive. Given the great price, I decided to give Hisense another try with the 65U8N (2024). Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The sound quality is worse, and I'm not sure if it's the software or the processor, but the TV is slower when executing commands. I also found the reflection on the screen much more intense—it's not a good choice for bright rooms. There were also some bugs, and I had to restart the TV twice within 15 days. In the end, I decided not to continue with the TV and returned it to the store. I don’t understand how a model released just two years later could be such a downgrade. The only good thing about this TV is the price and the two-year warranty included. I do not recommend it.

    An affordable but beautiful and powerful 65” TV? Take a look at the Hisense U8. I was a little hesitant to make the change from OLED back to Mini-LED as I absolutely love the true blacks on my OLED. However, we were wanting to upgrade the size and between my friend has a Hisense he loves and the price point, I thought I would give this a shot. And I’m glad I did! While it doesn’t quite reach those inky blacks of an OLED, it comes pretty close. At least close enough for me. It’s exceptionally bright which is great as it’s right next to bay windows in our living room. It has Google TV built in so I can free up one of my HDMI ports, it has all HDR formats supported, 144hz refresh rate, 2 HDMI 2.1 ports to support my PS5 and Xbox Series X, and to top it all off, built-in speakers that actually sound good? Setup was easy and while they say to have two people there to set up, I was able to do it on my own due to the exceptional packaging that doubles as a stand for you to put the actual stand on. The power cord is detachable which I didn’t think I would be raving about until my OLED had a fixed cable that was way too short and required an extension cord. Setting up Google TV was easy, as I already have a Google account and the Google Home app downloaded. I did go in and immediately turn off motion smoothing and turned on Filmmaker mode because I do not like how the default makes everything look weirdly smooth and unnatural. But motion smoothing looks great when I switch over to playing a fast moving game like Spiderman 2 on my PS5 and boy does this TV handle it swimmingly! I put it through several different tests from gaming to watching 4k shows like the 3 Body Problem and the 4K Bluray of Barbie. All of these shows popped and have made us fans of Hisense. While I do miss just how deep the blacks were on my OLED, there is so much here in this TV that I’ve grown to significantly prefer this TV over my last. The local dimming of LEDs is so well done that I find myself squinting at the black areas on screen to see the difference. The last thing I wanted to touch on was how almost all TVs, Including my very expensive OLED, have absolutely terrible speakers built in. This TV actually sounds pretty great! Where I would rank most decent TV speakers as having a 3/10 rating, this is like a 7/10. I still have a soundbar that I use instead, but I was legitimately surprised by the sound performance. If you don’t have a soundbar and buy this TV, you won’t feel the need to rush out and buy one. Pros: Beautiful Panel Excellent Price Gets extremely bright Multiple HDMI 2.1 ports for modern video games You don’t need to immediately buy a soundbar! But if you have a soundbar, it has HDMI Arc Google Cast and Airplay support Standard C13 removable power cord if you are far from an outlet Cons: Blacks aren’t as deep as on an OLED The remote is a little too big? (You can tell I’m stretching for negatives)

    Best Buy installed a defective product that didn't work an d stalled for another month before replacing the TV with another brand that does work. I would never do business with Best Buy again. I guess this testimonial won't win a gift card.

    Its a good TV. But i have noticed lines and banding on it. Maybe thats just typical for QLEDs idk. But it is pretty, and the google interface is a solid 4/5.

    DO NOT BUY - SEVERE QC ISSUES

    So, I've gone through four Best Buy TVs at this point - two U8s, and two TCL QM8s. All four panels had either dead pixels, debris stuck under the front layer of the plastic (not the protective film the TV ships with, but the actual polarizer film on the front of the panel), or a combination of both. Really wanted to be able to stick with these sets because their specs on paper are great... But the specks embedded in the panels are completely unacceptable if I'm buying an ostensibly new display.

    Great screen, Google TV is getting better

    This TV has an excellent screen: QLED with mini-LED backlighting, supports adaptive Dolby Vision, which adapts to the lighting in the room. It also supports 144 Mhz refresh rates to use with gaming PCs. The TV is 3 inches thick without the base and has a subwoofer on the back. Sounds great mounted on the wall. The pedestal base is a black metal with a plastic on the back, which I didn't use because it's mounted on the wall. The remote control is long, plastic imitating gray metal, that looks good, it uses IR and Bluetooth for fast response and doesn't need to be pointed to the TV and has a mic for Google Voice. The TV uses two AAA batteries, and works with NiMH rechargeables (Generic AAA batteries are included). The TV also has a microphone array so one can say 'Hey Google' without sing the remote. This can be disabled but the TV will have a bright orange light indicating so. Google TV is much improved from the older TVs we have. This runs Android 12. I notice it's a lot more responsive and less glitchy. When integrated with Google Home, the Google Home app can be used as a remote control. It also supports Amazon Alexa integrations and works with Apple Home and AirPlay. Both worked very well for me. It also has the option of setting up as a more basic TV without all of Google Home, which I might consider since like many other Smart TV it has a quite intrusive advertising system that scans the video on the screen and audio even when using an external source. Many tiers of advertising can be disabled during setup. I have to say, the image quality improved significantly compared to a TV from six years ago that this is replacing. The only major glitch I found with this TV, which can be very minor for most, is that when using with an AppleTV 4K, the TV's remote control cannot control the AppleTV most of the time (it works very occasionally). This is the only TV in the house with this issue. At the same time, many of the glitches and other issues I had with older Google TVs are gone, so it's an improvement from older TVs. Other HDMI CEC settings works as expected like automatically changing the input, turning connected devices on and off The best thing on this TV is the screen, which to me is on par with other top brands. It's as good as it gets on LED TVs.

    Had thus tv less than a year…(few monthe before its one yea) we are niw hetting these burn like colors on the tv. We hardly use this tv. Paid 1400 should not be having problems like rhis already.
