Excellent quality of image and color for value. I was originally going to buy the LG G3 but comparing this TV with the one on my wishlist, I did not see the I was getting more quality for the money. Side by side it made more sense to purchase the ULED U8 as the black level was almost pitch perfect to the OLED. Look up recommended calibrations online to suit your viewing please. I have mine calibrated for movies and sports. Amazing experience.

This thing is gorgeous!!! Closest thing to OLED without forking out the extra money for one. I have an oled monitor and this tv looks almost as good! Ps5 pro and PC works flawlessly! It gets bright!! And the speakers are dang good. I got rid of my soundbar because the speakers are that good!

Tv is amazing, bought it for my bedroom. Brightness and contrast really do let the colors pop especially during HDR content. Really is close to OLED at a fraction of the price. Good 2 year warranty lets you know Hisense stands behind its products.

My Hisense 65U8H was "killed" by the manufacturer because they could not repair it. It had a two-year warranty. The company sent me a full purchase price refund and I chose to replace it with the 65U8N from Best Buy. I'm not sorry for my decision. The new TV is better than its predecessor, It has better color and darker blacks with vivid HDR. Highly recommend the U8N.

The TV is bright and stunning. If you’re in need of a TV in a bright space then I highly recommend this TV. The sound is excellent for a flat screen because it comes with a built in subwoofer. If you’re setup doesn’t accommodate space for a soundbar then this TV will put out enough sound for almost any room size. The only major downside is the side viewing angle but if most of your viewing will be straight on or at 30-40 degree angle then you’ll be fine.

I upgraded from a Vizio P659-G1 due to due the backlight going out. I initially bought the U8K, but this went on sale and I had to return and exchange it for the U8N as it was the TV I really wanted. I'm glad I did as I was really wanting a Mini LED TV and boy it does make a difference. I was debating OLED, but with my living room situation with a lot of windows and natural lighting, I opted to get this for all purpose viewing and being able to get brighter than OLED TVs. The TV itself is definitely worth the money, especially since with it being on sale for 899.9 at the time of writing this. I do a lot of streaming older TV shows from the 90s and early 2000s. They look just fine and haven't had any issues. Watching movies is great on the TV as well. I don't use the built in OS, but have a Roku 4K connected. Works just fine for our streaming platform. My TV is connected to a 5.1.2 soundbar system, but the built in speakers are decent for it being a TV. You can definitely get away with just using the built in speaker system on the TV. I haven't done much gaming, but I plan to really stress test gaming over the winter season. This is a TV meant for Gaming as well so I'm excited to see how it performs. From the games I have played so far, both on the PS5 and Switch, it has done well. Overall, this TV has been more than I have expected. It has great visuals for a Mini LED. On top of a 2 year warranty, I did also purchase the 5-year Geek Squad protection. If this is a main TV you plan to use a lot, I highly recommend it.

I had the LG C4 in my sights for my TV upgrade but ended up seeing the demo of the U8N in store while using Geek Squad services. The price is excellent and the brightness is great. I had to mess with lots of settings but now the picture quality on PS5 and Xbox Series X is great. The panel is very fast to react so 60 fps, 120 fps, VRR, it all works great.

Everything you need if you’re not ready for OLED TV. VRR, Dolby Vision/Atmos, supports 120 hz for gaming. Screen is bright and beautiful. TV speakers are decent as well

The tech at this price is awesome. You will end up spending alot more $$$$ in order to get the same level of tech with a different brand. The HDR brightness is insane. It would wake me in the middle of night when a bright scene would come on like the sun, etc. Best suited for the living room and not a bedroom. Loved this TV until there was a manufacturing defect 4 months in. Hisense customer service sent a tech to destroy the TV, then sent me a check for the full amount I paid. That is awesome. I made the mistake of going to a TCL next, I should have gone back to a U8.

Bright, but not so good on dark scenes.

The picture quality is good. I have the 75" model as well, and that version is slightly better beacuse of the better panel, but it's hard to tell. The one thing I don't like about this TV is everyone talks about how bright it gets. I turn the brightness to 100% and change the picture settings. Don't get me wrong, it does get bright on light colored scenes. However, when watching a dark TV show in 4k like Criminal Minds, this TV looks like a mirror! It's extremely hard to see the dark scenes. For this I am taking off 1 star.

    Mesmerized

Short version. I have been using the 65U8N for 24 hours. My ratings are 5/5 for Geek Squad free delivery and 5/5 for the U8N. I am mesmerized. Long version. I bought a Hisense 65R7E Roku TV in September 2018 along with a Vizio soundbar. Both continue to perform well in my home office. The 65U8N replaces a 50” Panasonic plasma TV in my 14’ x 17.5" living room. Reviews of the U8N are generally good. Reviews of the Geek Squad free delivery are mixed. Placing an online order was easy. The free delivery was on time to the minute, supported by emails, text messages, and phone calls. Having watched a YouTube video, the installation took about 30 minutes. Configuration using the Google Home app on my Pixel took another 20 minutes, which was mostly devoted to a software update. I applied the Rtings recommended settings and performed the sound equalization using the remote. My wife and I, and my son, daughter-in-law, and 2.5 year old granddaughter have watched a selection of content from Netflix and Disney+. We were amazed at the picture quality, especially the excellent depth of field of the Adobe Vision HDR content. The audio quality easily matched my inexpensive Vizio soundbar. My granddaughter, who is never still, froze watching Moana.

The new Smart TV delivers a top-tier experience that blends sharp visuals, intuitive design, and robust streaming options into one impressive package. Featuring a 4K UHD display with vibrant colors and deep contrast, it brings movies, sports, and games to life with remarkable clarity. HDR support further enhances the viewing experience, especially in darker scenes where details often get lost. The user interface is clean and responsive, making it easy to navigate through apps like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and YouTube. Built-in voice control through Alexa or Google Assistant adds extra convenience, allowing you to search content, adjust settings, or control smart home devices hands-free.

Exactly what I wanted & great "monitor" for laptop

Can't believe I've found pretty much all I've wanted in a TV from this Hisense. I wanted basically a souped-up monitor to watch 4k movies and to connect to my laptop. But unlike a regular computer monitor I also wanted some "tv" features like local dimming, sound balancing, upscaling low res videos, and also be 65". I dont know if its good to use as your /only/ computer monitor, but I do like hooking it up to a laptop or PC and using it like one (not for gaming tho). My last TV was clunky when connecting to a PC and multiple devices, and would have audio (and sometimes even video) messed up no matter the port. This is seamless in comparison. Also happy to say this TV has an option to not connect to the internet if you dont want "smart tv" options. Not sure if many people care about that, but to those who do, it's great to have.

Even though it has a wired connection it is very slow and glitchy. I am unable to use my Roku player due to being unable to adjust the color on it for viewing. Otherwise sound and picture are OK but not as good as and my old Sony. I have tried everything to improve this. BTW I have the highest tier of internet.

I absolutely love this TV. I had the 55 inch and it’s a little bit toned down compared to the 65 and up. This blows me away the more I watch it. I have it set up next to my LG G5 OLED and there were times where it looked almost identical. Way to go, Hisense.! Also incredible sound for built-in TV sound. I really have that feeling of phantom surround speakers. Most impressive sound on a TV I’ve experienced and I’ve owned several Sony’s.

I really like this TV. Very bright.. VERY bright. Great HDR and SDR. Built in sound is fine but I still really recommend a sound bar. The built in smart tv is actually pretty snappy. But the OS is buggy. Pretty buggy. It's not deal breaking for me but it makes it hard to completely recommend. I am using a Sonos Playbar with optical out only. It cuts out the audio just a bit sometimes? I think this depends on the source material and what audio codec it uses. I don't think its the soundbar itself or the connection type but, you know, buggy. For the price, its hard to beat
