Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the excellent picture quality and brightness of the 65" Class U8 Series TV. Many appreciate its black levels, refresh rate, ease of use, HDR, and value for the price. However, some customers have experienced connectivity issues and subpar motion smoothing. A few also found the TV to be quite heavy and had issues with the remote control.

Close to OLED
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! This TV replaced a 16 yr old 55" Vizio and it is great. The picture needed little if any tweeking out of the box, and the sound is really good from the stock speakers. This has paired well with our PS5 pro, and movies look great. We are not pixel peepers so for the money, I would suggest this over an OLED especially at a price that is about half. We will see about the longevity.

Punchy color and deep blacks with Dolby Atmos too
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gorgeous tv. Super bright and punchy color. Coming from an OLED to this I thought would be challenging but I am very happy with this tv.

Hisense Can Build a Nice Product
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some reviews refer to the U8 series as a "mid-tier" or even an upper end "budget" TV, but I think that's a little unfair to Hisense. The 65U8N has the performance, look and feel of a premium flagship level device with review test results to match, besting most if not all more expensive competitor models in a variety of technical categories. So, how do they do it? I don't actually know for sure and despite what they may say, neither do all the armchair online forum critics. Consider this though. For the past several years, Hisense has been aggressively pursuing N. American market share. I'm more inclined to believe they're beating the big names on price mostly with lower operating costs and by leveraging global economies of scale rather than by simply using the cheapest, shoddiest components available. Why would they sabotage their long-term business objectives to save a few cents on capacitors? I suspect they're playing the long game -- buying a reputation with thinner margins -- things like managers and execs getting good (but not ridiculous) salaries, etc. If so, that's smart business and high sense indeed.

A year later
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a little over a year and still love this tv. Has a beautiful picture and stunning colors. The sound is fantastic and the adjustments you can make to picture and sound are really well done. Excellent experience for the price!

Pretty nice tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful display, I have all LG OLED TVs in my house but I opted for this because of the picture and price. I did however, return it because I was able to grab the LG OLED G3 for $1500. Nothing wrong with the tv, looked beautiful and the brightness was great in my open living room. Very decent gaming features. The OS leaves a little to be desired but not a deal breaker. Would recommend to beyond looking for a pretty nice tv for a reasonable price. I had purchased for $1,100. Hope this helps.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My favorite TV. All i wanted was smooth interface switching from app to app and it’s flawless. Home Screen is great and customizable. The remote lights up when I reach for it and bump it with the side of my hand so I can find it. Oh yea and the picture is great too. I’m buying a bigger one and giving this one to my kids

WOW!!! Totally Satisfied at an amazing low cost!!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow!!! This television has an amazing picture, so bright and colorful. The sound quality is awesome with it’s 50 watts of power with 5 speakers and a built in subwoofer!!! I have been comparing many different televisions for months, this model had excellent reviews and features that would cost much more compared to many other brands. Also impressed by the warranty, double that of all the others. I feel that this was a very wise and thoughtful purchase that I am totally satisfied with and would recommend this to anyone.

More honey for your money
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one, if not the best model TV you could get in 2024 in this price range and size. Quality all around even though it's cheaper than other with the same spec. The Hisense company is fullstream and cuts the middle person out to keep cost down. I see this brand sharing space on the podium with the "name brands" if they keep this practice going. Best bang for your buck! You wont regret it unless you get a broken one. Lol

Good, but needs refinement
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good: Great picture quality and value. Nearly an OLED in image quality. The sound is "ok," has a good base. The Bad: Poor product integration; when paired with a Hisense Sound Bar, the TV regularly runs into issues choosing speakers and sometimes duplicating audio, creating ecos. When it works right, it's excellent, but when it doesn't, it requires the soundbar to reboot.

Hisense 65” Mini LED
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: picture is beautiful and easily adjusted for room lighting; good audio quality with enhanced range and bass. Cons: wi-fi connectivity is spotty (but solved using an Apple TV unit); audio output has periodic glitches (used both HDMI and optical outputs with similar results). OVERALL: Vast picture quality improvement to failed 7 year old Vizio 65”. Lots of input/output options to use streaming services (Apple TV and Amazon Firestick) and home theater system.

Almost like an OLED
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The colors are great and I appreciate going from 60 hz to 120 for games that support it. Keep in mind: you WILL get 120 IF the game supports it. Despite that 60 hz games still look better on this kind of display. The 144 hz is nice but I’ve yet to play a game that will actually allow it, so don’t expect crazy smooth frames right off the bat. Also has its own browser and airplay too

65 Hisense mini-LED U8N
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this TV. I did a ridiculous amount of diligence and know TV’s like the back of my hand. Very hi end ones. I always have been an OLED snob and made this my first non OLED purchase and couldn’t be happier. If you are not the most unreal expert in current TV technology, even if you are, you will not be disappointed whatsoever. Buy this TV and you will be thrilled.

Need a New TV - Hisense is GREAT
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Because our Samsung was just a little over a year old - the mirrors decided to go out... repair could be done, but would cost more than the TV - so we researched best TV's out there. Came to Best Buy - had a wonderful salesman! And looked at the TV... bought it. WOW! So far it is terrific!

Took a chance and rolled double boxcars!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took about 10 days to figure this set out! I tried several different settings before finding the right setting to my liking. This set which I purchased for an incredible price has become an incredible purchase! The picture is outrageous with sharpness and detail that is second to none! The sound reproduction is far above anything that my Samsung tv's could ever produce. At $899 this was a steal and so far so good!

Poor WIFI Adapters
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had 3 different Hisense TVs, including this model, and all of them have issues staying connected to the internet or not connecting at all. No, it’s not my internet connection. Hours on the phone with customer didn’t resolve the issue. Told the WIFI adapter is bad. The WiFi adapters in the Hisense TVs are junk. The TV looks great, but not being able to connect or stay connected to the internet is a major red flag.
