Horrible black uniformity over time (4 month)

I bought the TV to actually have a good black mura and black uniformity for the best price. But over time the black uniformity got horrible, worse than any LCD TV I had before. Dark images display with clear bright spots, that also my wife complains about the at TV. No recommendations, a cheaper LCD TV does the job better for less money.

stunning but with an issue

Great TV but make sure you don't buy a detective

I ended up returning it because there were dead pixels right out of the box. Ended buying an LG instead. My Hisense U7 model has been great with no image problems at all.

Major problems between U8K and Hulu
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After three weeks of total frustration which included numerous hours on the phone with customer service technicians, numerous hours logging on my new tv, changing out two Hisense U8K tvs, changing Internet providers, etc etc.. the Hisense manufacturer customer service technician discovered that Hulu doesn't provide support for the Hisense U8K and that this model will continue to have various problems with Hulu. Wife loves Hulu so GOOD BYE Hisense....

Great picture, poor hardware

You have to shut the tv off every fifteen minutes or it has major lag issues. Tested by also running a stream on laptop and confirmed it was tv not the app

Its bad for sports

Black levels are good but picture doesn't look natural and the motion juddering is horrendous!!! I mean straight up awful. I boughy the tv for football and its unwatchable the football flutters the guys running look terrible and just cable tv is a 1 star. I know how to use settings and even i couldn't fix it. I may have got a lemon but i won't be going back to the well again.

The hardware is severely disappointing. I have had the Hisense people out here to work on it twice and it still won’t stay connected to the internet. It also takes forever to start up.

OK TV for the price point

The Google UI, unfortunately, tends to be slow and occasionally glitchy. Additionally, the display didn't meet my brightness expectations. I find myself contemplating the longevity of this TV and wondering if I might have regrets, considering the possibility of investing a bit more in a Sony or Samsung TV."

Horrible watching Sports

It’s so choppy. I thought it was my WiFi connection, so I made it wired. Same issue. If you watch plenty of sports, This Tv is not for you

The only way to get off this screen was to do a hard reset. Ended up returning.

Amazing price, quality and features GET IT!

The blacks and whites are so near perfect they rival oleds at 2x the price... I've always been an absolute diehard sony xbr fan and this blows those away with the price point and better yet features and image accuracy... the 55 inch is only $699.... the 65 and 75 are still under a grand and even at those prices will outdo anything in their price point. I'm in no way saying this tv can't be beat but to beat for example the 55" $700 hisense you'll need a $1200+ sony or samsung...the 75 is even better with an IPS panel which keeps its inklike blacks at steeper viewing angles than the 55 and 65 models can. 2 hdmi 120/144hz channels with arc , usb C , usb 3.0 , real atmos through built in speakers or passtrough "built in speakers on any tv suck for atmos as do soundbars" but this does a very good job at producing an atmos experience or dts-x which i prefer for a clearer less boomy sound Theres very little tuning needed out the box the colors are very accurate as is. Simply use "theater day mode" in all content and if available color space on auto, anythin else just oversaturates Color: warm 1, or warm 2 if you want just a tad cooler/cleaner look Contrast on default 50 Black level -1 on all content modes (dv , sdr , hdr) Brightness 72-77 based on personal preference for SDR and on hdr/dolby brightness 100 Local dimming on high all content. Turn off any advanced contrast or automatic color options.. Clarity menu add sharpness +5 leave everything else off or low motion enhancement is best off for less lag and soap opera effect but if you prefer it pick film , or pick custom and set to judder:4 , blur:6
