As a previous Hisense buyer. I wanted a new up to date model. I purchased the Hisense U8G. Best decision i made... i mainly use it for Ps5 gaming. And let me say, its completely up to par with everything you need to play next gen consoles. Great Tv for all around use...

It's not my favorite but I think all future TVs that require internet and updates have 5 different price models will be a tough sell. It's a solid tv. Good sound, great picture if you tweak it, and smooth UI

Great picture quality colors were vibrant, unfortunately not really good on motion when playing games or watching live sports. Also bad gray uniformity maybe I got a bad panel. Had to return it.

I've been using this set for mostly streaming content via built in apps and watching shows/movies. Build The TV itself is pretty solid. You don't feel like your going to break it while unboxing and moving it around. The stand is made out of metal and seems sturdy. The glass on the display sort of extrudes a bit which is unique. Has some cable management on the back as well. The remote is very minimal and a pleasure to use. Buttons are very responsive and clicky. I have noticed over the past few years that Hisense has always done a good job with the remotes. Picture Now the most important thing, the picture quality. This TV has 120Hz native refresh, full array back lit, quantum dot with WCG, supports every version of HDR out there, Imax enhanced, and HDMI 2.1. Two hdmi 4k at 60Hz and two hdmi 4K at 120Hz. One of the 120Hz ports is the earc input. Colors pop and blacks are dark. Its also extremely bright at 1,500 nit peak brightness. Especially if you turn off energy saving mode. Probably the brightest TV I have ever personally seen. I've tried to find any type of defect, dead pixel, clouding, banding, etc and I cant find anything wrong with this display. Pretty amazing. 4k, HDR, and HD all look fantastic! Audio Sound is pretty typical for a TV this size. Its ok but I connected mine to a sound bar via earc hdmi port so now sounds a lot better. Smart Features It runs Android TV which in my opinion is the best smart TV OS out there. Android TV is very snappy on this set. I am very impressed by how fast and smooth it runs. Hopefully it says that way but time will tell. Comes with a few pre-installed apps but not that many as long as you don't say yes to everything during setup. This set has the option to have Google Assistant enabled and listening all the time. It has a mute switch on the bottom of the TV to disable the mic which is a nice added touch you don't normally get. Wifi has been extremely stable. Zero issues with connectivity on wifi 5. I had to dig pretty deep to find any complaints but if I had one it would be that I wish it was a tad thinner. I was going to wall mount it but think I will just leave it on the stand. Also its missing ATSC 3.0 support for next gen over the air. Overall I am pretty impressed with this set. I did not expect it to be this good. The Hisense U8g is marketed as a mid tier class TV but I disagree. I would say its on par with other high end LED TV sets from other major brands. You get a lot of TV tech for way less money here. This is great TV and a great deal!

Android TV it's great, the sounds is amazing on this tv, I might say that it don't even need a soundbar, is that amazing. But the overall experience of it I don't quite enjoy it. Picture quality is so so and the picture settings are unconventional, for me at least. I've owned Plasma, Oled and Led Tvs and currently own Oleds around my house. I really wanted to like this tv because It has so many features and great reviews, but the truth is it has a lot halo effect, the viewing angle was not good and the picture look washed and over bright. Perhaps it's because I'm comparing it with an Oled... I ended up returning the tv. Hisense should made a tv with this amazing sound but with an OLED panel.

Wow! This TV is pretty amazing. It's not quite as good as an LG C1 but it's very close, especially for $1000-1100. The picture quality can't be matched for this price. This TV has better picture quality and motion than the high end Sony's, Samsung's and almost as good as the C1. Buy it, you won't regret it.

This TV is reasonably priced, and has great: sound, image, color, brightness, etc. The one flaw is that the remote is usually not backlit as it should be. Sometimes the backlighting is on; usually it is off. I got a 65 inch model, and love it. It’s the best TV I’ve ever had.

I wish I could give this tv 5 stars as it has a great picture but I'm using Earc on the tv and sound drops out about every hour for 10- 20 seconds which is beyond annoying!! Also the sound won't be in sync with the lips many times when watching thru the cable box. I have called Hisense twice to no avail. First time, they were going to send me a file to download onto the tv but never did. The second time I called supposedly some tv tech was suppose to call me back that day, which he never did. Really upset as my other 3 tv's in my home are Hisense brand and had no big issues with them. The sound dropping out is a KNOWN issue (and many ppl having the issue per internet search.)

It’s an awesome TV. Picture quality amazing. Really like that I could physically turn off the built-in microphone. Had to return it because it would constantly mute itself when connected to the sound system; I think it was probably a Google OS problem.

I have had multiple Samsung QLED TV's that have given me bad flash lighting, bad local dimming and dead pixels out of the box that costed me more than double what this TV costed me. Samsung is such a let down these days. I see none of that with this TV. The online reviews that I watched were spot on this. This TV is incredible. I have an OLED TV that costed me around $5k a few years ago. I'm not going to kid you and say this gets black levels like my OLED. It does not. But that's a TV that cost multiple times more than this one. This TV gets mostly there. Star fields look great. Local dimming looks great. I cannot complain at all for it's price point. If you want perfect blacks for your home movie theatre setup you will need an OLED. If you are looking for something more budget minded for a family room TV in a brighter room then this is your TV. Hands down. Don't waste your money on a more expensive Samsung QLED that won't touch OLED either. Pass up the overpriced Samsung QLED. This is the TV you want to buy period.

Excellent Tv for its price. Picture quality is amazing compare to the other well known brands who charges a larger premium. Normally I would go with a speaker or soundbar but the volume output is pretty good for this model. Only wished they made a bigger size, Highly recommended.
