The U8G is sort of a frustrating TV. On one hand it provides a stunning picture for high quality native 4K content, HDR, HDR10+ and DV. It is super bright and highlights pop. It is actually a little too bright as it crushes whites. If all you want to watch is streaming and UHD Blu Ray it is a good choice. On the other hand it is really mediocre at other things. Upscaling is poor and HD and low resolution SDR sources are blurry and soft. Motion is really bad. I could not dial in settings that got motion good enough for sports or movies. Not a console gamer so no thoughts there, Quality was also hit and miss. I had a really clean panel with great uniformity and no issues with bleed or ghosting But it also had a bad HDMI port and the remote did not actually light up like it should. TV is well positioned, and really the best of the midrange tier. To get better you need to look at Sony A80J, LG C1 and QN()A, maybe at some point X95J and QNED90 all of which are much more expensive. I returned the U8G for A80J and could not be happier. It is significantly better in every way and worth double price. But if this is as far as your budget goes or just watching high quality content it is a great choice. U7G would also be worth a look as much of the additional brightness of the U8G is not used well.

Was delivered in good condition, although delivery got rescheduled twice. Out of the box, it was easy to set up and initial picture quality was good. Still tweaking the settings but overall, I'm pretty impressed and happy with the purchase. Quality of the images is on par with my Samsung and for the price, it's outstanding. Bulkier than the Samsung but that's to be expected at this price point. Would recommend for anyone on a budget looking for a premium set

Fantastic t.v. for the price. I have an OLED and a Samsung 4k 9000 series that was $3k new. I'll never spend that kind of money on a TV again if they keep making TV's like this. I have it in the cave/media room. High end gaming computer, PS5, and Xbox series x hooked up to this through and Onkyo TX-nr7100. Once I got all the settings right everything looks great. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Bang for buck is pretty good. If you want an LCD TV this is in the running. However, I ended up not keeping mine due to ghosting and motion issues that I could not unsee. I really wanted to like this TV and keep it because gaming on it has been amazing. But watching things on Netflix and OTA just did not cut it.

For me nothing beats the feeling of getting great value for my money. As soon as I turned this TV on I was amazed by its brightness, I searched for 4K videos on YouTube and streamed a 4K movie on Netflix and was a huge improvement from my two year-old TCL TV, which wasn't a bad TV btw. The comments from other buyers regarding ghosting are true, but the most recent update fixes it! so definitely recommend this TV especially if you're looking to get 4K @ 120Hz on you PS5.

The U8G is correctly priced, nice T.V. with 2.1 HDMI and premium picture. My only complaint is there are compression issues with dark areas especially around the edges where obvious pixikating happens with most scenes regardless of source. My guess is the processor that converts picture is one area where cost is cut to beat out the Sony and Samsung competitors. Overall its worth the price.

This TV is great, but there are a few small issues that probably aren't a big deal for most. The picture and responsiveness are great, and it does what it's supposed to do. The biggest issue for me is that it seems like in any picture mode other than Game and HDR Game, there seems to be some random frames dropping every once in a while. Putting the picture mode to Game seems to alleviate the issue. Unfortunately, you can't use a Game picture mode if you are using the built-in software. Also, there is no HDR10+ or Dolby Vision game mode, so when those two technologies are being used, I still see random frame drops every once in a while. Secondly, it seems like once every 2 weeks or so, when I turn it on there is a strange double-image thing going on. I see it right away, and turning the tv back off then on again takes care of it, so not too much of a big deal. Other than that, the TV is great.

Bought this TV after doing a lot of research. The picture is beautiful compared to my LG CX and is not that far off of it, Its truly impressive how far Hisense has come as I always have known them as just budget TV's. This is NOT a OLED picture quality but it does come pretty close. Motion, Picture Brightness, and clarity are very very good. I would recommend this TV if you don't want to spend OLED or Samsung prices. Very happy with the TV

I am very impressed with this TV! I almost always buy Samsung TVs but decided to branch out and try a highly recommended brand - Hisense. This TV has a great picture, 120 refresh rate, and easy setup. It is great for gaming on my Xbox Series X.

I’m a Samsung fan boy but, I have to confess that this Hisense U8G is an excellent television at a great price point. The picture is amazing and it does well both in well lit rooms as well as a darker rooms. I purchased both the 55 and the 65 inch U8G model. The setup was easy and….did I mention the picture is AMAZING. I’ve watched content on. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, and Apple TV….I was simply amazed at the picture quality. While watching ‘Foundation’ on AppleTV I was blown away by the images. I watched ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ and once again blown away by the picture quality. The sound is excellent and has a setting base on if you have it wall mounted verses on a stand. I have the 55 inch wall mounted and my 65 inch on a stand. The tv also has a switch to turn off the microphone so its not always responding to what you say. I personally think this switch is a plus. The remote is backlit which is a plus. The list of pro with this one is long. Do your research and decide for yourself but for a mix use (Movie, Sports, Gaming) television you can go wrong with the Hisense U8G.

It's a bit of a mixed bag. Sometimes picture quality is amazing, but I have an issue with Dolby Vision and HDR content stuttering randomly. I've tried emptying the cache, and doing a hard restart from the system menu, and this does seem to help for a while, but the stuttering always comes back eventually. I also have a problem with finding the correct lip sync with my Roku 4K box. No matter how I adjust it, it's never quite right. For reference, I'm connecting via ethernet and have a pretty robust network with download speeds of over 400Mbps. The Hisense customer service seems to leave a lot to be desired. I reached out to them through their website over 2 weeks ago, and have yet still to receive a response ...

The clarity is amazing, and playing the ps5 on it is so beautiful, it definitely rivals the more expensive 2000 dollar TVs out there. Believe all the hype because the tv was worth it. only gripe I have it the native apps on the tv crash sometimes, so unplugging the tv and plugging it back in will fix it.

This tv is pretty good for the price. It knows what is plugged in and you can tell it what to turn on by saying hey google. Turn a console on and the tv turns on. The picture is good and colors look amazing. I currently play horizon 2 on it and looks better than most the high end tvs. Even on rating.com days this tv is best for games out of most new tvs
