Picture quality is definitely amazing. Vivid colors, sharp blacks and bright whites. However, this particular model and size has a known stuttering issue while watching content. Motion smoothing and reduce judder help some, but it doesn't correnct the issue. I wish I would have known before making my purchase. Hopefully a future firmware update fixes the issue.

This tv is increadible. It checks all the boxes on the latest and greatest with half the price tag! So what’s the catch? It requires some setup. Out of the box picture quality is not there until u change some essential settings. Enhanced hdr is not turned on by default. U need to go into the input settings and turn on enhanced hdmi. The operating system is android based and not as “pretty” as other popular brands. The only other issue is imperfect color banding, occasionally. All led tv’s dont have this perfect. But thought id mention. I watch 4ktv @120hz, and dolby vision. Im a bit of a picture snob. But i only notice the banding once every couple weeks. Its NOT anything major at all. And i might only notice it for a few brief seconds on certain scenes. Maybe once every 3 weeks or so? Dont let that deter u from buying this TV. If ur somewhat tech savy , a quick YouTube video can show u how to set this up. Would i buy this tv for elderly grandparents? No way. Too much setup for them. But for anyone that is 1/2 way competent with tech, its a resounding yes. I promise that u WILL NOT find a tv that checks this many boxes for this price, anywhere.

    The TV I’ve always wanted

I read a review before buying this TV that said “watching IMAX enhanced movies like Avatar 2 on this TV is nothing short of breathtaking “ and I honestly couldn’t agree more. But not just for Avatar, this thing looks incredible no matter what you’re watching. The local dimming array feature combined with its high contrast ratio is probably my favorite part of this TV. Watching a show where the sun is shining over the shoulder of the character literally feels like having the sun shining in your face in your living room. Especially when you notice the other half of the TV is normal brightness. Combine that with its excellent reflection handling and watching in a bright room is no different than watching at night and is the main reason I bought it. The glare on my old Sony 4k was almost unbearable but it’s no issue on the U8H. Gaming is on another level too. My Series S runs at 4k 120fps on the HDMI2.1 and the input lag basically being nonexistent makes games like Forza, COD, and Halo an absolute blast to play. So far I’ve had zero issues with this TV and it’s everything I’d hoped it would be before buying. And considering it’s at a better price point as similarly specced TV’s in the micro LED class makes this TV the best mid range TV you can buy.

This is a super bright tv, excellent colors. But be advice there is clearly visible image pasteurization (color banding) due to panel not being true 10bit, the panel is 8bit FCR. You can mitigate the pasteurization by investing hours of calibration, and this is not for the faint of heart. Once you property calibrate the tv the it will look fantastic. If you want it for gaming be advice that there still some issues due to limitations on SoC. And if you want to take advantage of HDMI 2.1 features like 120hz, VRR and ALL there will be a catch. For example with my PS5 if I plug the PS5 directly to the TV to get 120hz and VRR and ALL the TV will downmix the 7.1 PCM discrete channels of audio into 2.0 PCM channels. This will happen NO MATTER What You Do!! Even by choosing eARC Passthrough the TV will interfere and downmix the audio resulting y audio quality loss. This is a limitation to the TV itself and its been acknowledge by HISENSE. This issue is not limited only to Hisense TVs. If you can live with those minor issues, I can tell you that there is no unit that will beat the U8H at this price. Dolby Vision image looked fantastic after a couple firmware updates released by Hisense.

I was very impressed with this TV for the past 5 months. If you get a good panel and set it up properly (TURN OFF ALL MOTION SETTINGS!!) it works great, is bright and had great black levels/little blooming (for the price)! My expectations were tempered because I do own a couple oleds but when I turned this on, configured it and watched some movies/played some video games it exceeded all of my expectations. With that said, 5 months later it is dead and does not power on. It has a generous warranty though I am using total tech, hopefully its fixed and doesnt keep having problems once they come in.... over a week? cmon best buy. The last question is would you recommend this? With the generous warranty, I think I would still recommend this but be warned. 5 Stars for price for picture, minus 2 for the whole being dead thing.

This Hisense 65" TV is a game-changer in the realm of home entertainment, proving that top-notch quality doesn't have to break the bank. With eye-popping visuals and crisp color fidelity, this TV elevates the viewing experience into an immersive journey. Big-brand TVs might catch your eye with name recognition, but the Hisense matches, if not surpasses, them in picture quality. The real coup de maître here is the value proposition. Rarely does a product offer such a compelling blend of excellence and affordability. The prevailing myth in consumer electronics is that you pay more for better quality; Hisense flips that narrative by offering an exemplary product at an unbeatable price point. In summary, the Hisense 65" TV is a testament to the democratization of quality. If you're seeking exceptional performance without the big-brand price tag, your search ends here

The U8H was the only TV that had most of the features I wanted for under $1000. When it went on sale I had to grab it. After buying it my biggest concern was actually whether it would fit on my TV stand. Luckily the TV has 2 different spots where you can attach the feet, with one more centrally located for smaller stands. The default picture settings profiles out of the box are pretty solid - I leave it in Theater Night mode for most video streaming. The TV can get VERY bright. I wish one of the 120hz HDMI ports wasn’t also the eARC port, but that seems pretty common with TV’s for some reason. I use a separate streaming platform (Apple TV, roku, etc.) with most other TV’s, but have been using and liking the built in GoogleTV OS. The sound quality was average, but I use a soundbar with it. Zero issues whatsoever after about a month of pretty heavy use.

I have looked for a decent replacement for my 8 year old samsung UF5500. High on my list was a much better native sound system. Being older, think retired, this was a paramount concern. The U8H more then covers this issue. The colors pop like nothing i have seen before. While this is supposed to be a great gaming platform, that is a non starter for us. The refresh rates are very good. We do not have blazing internet speed at home, we have not noticed any lagging or slow loading of any the built in apps. The remote is very simple to learn and use. This is our first googleTV based operating system for a tv and thus far has been great. We would both recommend this tv to others. Be advised that in best buy stores, the sales people have no remotes to show to the customer. For posibble customers of the put my hands on it generation, this store policy is both a pain and outright short sighted.

Blown away 2 years after buying this TV. Picture quality is top notch and gets plenty bright in my very sunny room. Highly recommend if you're not willing to shell out for OLED or need a bright TV. Only con is the interface gets slow over time and need to delete stuff.

Bought this for the bedroom and ended up liking it more than my lg b9 oled. Blacks are almost as good as oled, seriously. Gaming is great and movies look great in dark rooms. Almost pure blacks. But gets like 3x brighter then my oled. Save the money and get this tv

What a powerhouse of a TV!! I put this tv in my basement theater room mated with a YAMAHA tsr700 and 7 Jamo speakers for ATMOS sound, The wife and I are behind in times but currently watching Game Of Thrones season 6 and this thing REALLY makes the show pop! Iv seen better motion in TV's that are double the price but the overall picture is insanely good! Dark scenes with fire are literally mind blowing, Also its is painfully bright when it needs to be for realistic explosions, fire balls and direct sun scenes. If you are on the fence about the quality of this tv just DO IT! Side note... the speakers in the TV are GREAT, I forgot to turn on my 7 channel surround sound and literally took me at least a minute to notice that I was lacking sound, punchy bass and decent perceived surround. BUY IT!!!!

This TV is an awesome value. I was very hesitant to get this TV because the 2 stores I went didn't have any on display. Now having this TV over a few weeks, I can say this TV is amazing. Blacks look very black and colors are great. Off-viewing angles do wash the colors out a bit, but nothing that feels like the picture quality is bad. The _only_ con of this TV I have experienced so far is that the motion processing is not the best. So for example, if you loaded up the movie 'Man of Steel' and watch Superman flying fast across the screen, you will see a noticeable amount of artifacting around the fast moving object. SD movies or HD sports are ok. You can also mess around with the motion settings to improve clarity, but I've just been ok with it. Other than that, it's a great TV given the price I paid for it.

The picture on this tv is incredible, with the local dimming giving very dark blacks. The sound is pretty good to, for built in speakers. The lack of airplay/homekit support is disappointing, but not a surprise. The biggest issue with the TV is that only 2 of the 4 hdmi inputs support 4k at 120Hz, and one of those is also the eARC port. The TV needs more HDMI 2.1 ports OR at least for the eARC port to be separate from the HDMI 2.1 ports. Having one port do both is a big mistake. With this TV’s design If you use the eARC port to connect a sound bar other audio system, you are down to only 1 HDMI 2.1 port for use with 4k @120Hz sources. Many soundbars don’t have HDMI passthrough at all, but even among those with pass through, virtually none pass HDMI 2.1.

This TV is insane, just buy it. I go to friends houses, family’s houses, sports bars, etc. I watch their TV’s and I just find myself wishing I was watching whatever it is on mine. It is so bright, so clear. Tv apps work flawlessly and fast. Go as big as you can afford. If you are trying to decide between 55” and 65” but can’t decide, go with 65” if you can afford it. It’s a very heavy box and very heavy TV. But understandably so because there is a lot packed into this device. Do not underestimate it. Get it delivered if you can. OLED is still king but mini led over QLED all day in my opinion. This TV is next level for the money.

So i was in the market for an upgraded 4k television that got out of the ‘ entry level ‘ catagory . Coming from an entry level 4k lg 55’’ to this 65 inch mini LED tv was a noticeable difference for me . Very pleased with this set . Would deffinatley reccomend ! Only thing i wish these newer sets were better with is upscaling sd content . But as to be expected with MOST TVs still lacking in that department imo

Great TV. I was reluctant at first, but I am glad I followed through. Crispy images for both movie watching and gaming. Yes, gaming at 120hz, this feels amazing, and there is no input lag. Not to mention, it supports Dolby Atmos, and the built-in subwoofer actually had my upstairs neighbor asking me to turn down the bass.

The picture and features of this tv are amazing. But there are quirks that with 10 months of effort and trying all sorts of troubleshooting I have not been able to resolve. I'm going to keep it because I've found ways around them, but super annoying in something that is otherwise great. The issues are the bluetooth remote goes to sleep after a while and the only way to wake it up is to remove and re-insert the batteries. Hisense claims it's an issue with the remote, but wouldn't send a new one, and the internet is filled with people with the same issue. The second is the wifi - it continuously randomly disconnects and reconnects. I've used two different routers, and changed all sorts of settings. Most of the time this is resolved by rebooting the TV or unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in, but not always. Sometimes it will go for days without an issue, and then for over an hour the wifi will go in and out over and over again. It's so incredibly annoying. Everything else about the TV is awesome. The picture is excellent, brightness is incredible. We have it connected through eArc to a soundbar and that works really well. No other complaints other than the wifi and bluetooth remote issues. If you set the remote to IR instead, then there are no issues, you just can't use the voice search, which is fine with me.
