I bought this instead of the higher end Samsung Q90T QLED tv. It had good reviews on the ratings.com site so I figured I’d give it a shot. My previous TV was Samsung 65” 1080P. Going to 4K as great, the built in streaming apps made my Apple TV obsolete. Seeing shows from Disney & Netflix is awesome. The only issue is now we are burning through our Xfinity data plan like it’s beer at Frat house.
My only complaints are the contrast on really dark scenes is not good. You can see the screen pixilate. The other issue is when there are high speed movements watching sports the screen can’t keep up with it, it’s not bad and it doesn’t happen every play it’s usually when the camera is panning quickly to track a football being thrown.
As for watching regular shows it’s great. If the LG OLED tv’s get cheap enough I’ll probably spring for one them. The contrast is excellent on them.
I have a large space so it fits in well, 16x45 foot room is great for when I am in the back of the room to see the screen.

After moving into a new home we were looking to purchase a TV for our loft, and this one popped up while reading reviews. In the past I've stuck with the big brand TVs (from Korea) and I've been satisfied. This TV though, has completely blown me away. You get a TON more for the money and honestly I don't see myself going back to the other brands. Planning on purchasing a 65" TV for my bedroom.
Android TV is a wonderful addition (much better thank Roku, ableit sometimes slower) since we are pretty integrated into the Google ecosystem. The TV gets super bright, much brighter than other TVs in the price range - super nice since the loft has windows on the wall opposite to the TV. And the local dimming is great. Still not as good as TVs that cost 2x the price, but it's honestly great and I have no complaints.
The TV itself looks great as well. Sometimes the 'budget' brands tend to have super cheap looking plastic, large bezels, and big logos. This one is super sleek and honestly looks better than any other TV in my home.
Legs are a little weird and I'm not entirely sure how stable it would be if somebody bumped into the table, but after mounting it on the wall I feel much more comfortable.
HBO Max has been a little buggy, not sure if it's the TV or Android - sound can sound a bit tinny but it's really only on this particular app. Every other app I use (Netflix, YouTube, etc) sound fine.
The other thing to be aware of is that this TV is BIG and HEAVY. Took two people to carry it up the stairs.

This is our main TV in the house so we do everything on it. We are a family of 5 so it tends to be on most of the day, whether it's video games, movies, tv, or just streaming music videos while cleaning we do it all. Our previous TV had some lag that had turned us off to playing video games in the living room, but this one has everyone back to play together. I love that when streaming movies, it will automatically change to the Dolby settings to get the best picture and audio quality if the streaming movie or show has that encoding. It looks amazing even on the dim power saving mode and can be seen easily at any time of the day and with any kind of lighting so far. There are several audio modes available that can be chosen which is great and the TV remembers which one you set which app on. The only app we have found that doesn't get the amazing audio quality (sounds a bit tinny) is the HBOMax, but it's an app issue and not actually a TV issue. When family come over I am able to cast my pictures and videos easily from my phone to the TV so family can see them as well. I highly recommend this as a family TV as it seems to be good for everyone. Also, being an android TV, it has so much more capability for apps and games than most others. It does automatically update apps as it becomes available. I really can't think of any negatives on this one.

I am a fan of Hisense. This upgraded my 65" H8F and it is a very noticeable upgrade. This TV is on par with a 6 series TCL and at a better price. Android TV is the only UI I enjoy and it is snappy and responsive. Colors are rich, blacks are awesome. Many dimming zones... This is a must buy at this price. Best 75" TV under $1500.

This is a huge tv. It gets 5 stars on size and appearance. I also give it 5 stars on price. It’s about $1000 less than the Samsung Q80 75 inch. I compared all the stats and I made the decision on price. It’s almost the same TV.
Only difference is the refresh rate the H8G is at 60 and the Q80 is at 120. I’m happy with the streaming 4K is on point. No lag what do ever. Pretty simple to use, I would wish the remote was a little smoother for typing or searching.
You decide whether the extra $1000 is worth it.

The H8G is a fantastic TV that performs, with deep blacks and an amazing HDR experience. It displays a beautiful picture in both bright and dark settings. With up to 700 nits peak brightness and 90 local dimming zones, it performs well.
The TV looks very sleek. The TV Stand Width can be either 51.5×14.0 inches or 25.6x14 inches. The narrower position is useful if you have do not have a wide table. Very few TV manufacturers provide this narrower setting.
Android TV works well, especially with the latest update to make it essentially Google TV. The interface is a bit laggy every once in a while, but I will take the lag any day because it is easy to install just about any Android App on Android TV, very powerful to be able to do this.

With a few out of the box adjustments, the picture quality is much better than my old 'entry level' 4k TV purchased only 3 years ago. Wish Hisense had a detailed manual to assist in tweaking picture and audio settings as they only provide a quick start guide to help set up TV. Android TV interface easy to set up and a near equal to the Roku smart TV platform.

The Hisense H8G is a great tv. I upgraded from a 60 inch Vizio which I put in my bedroom after my plasma TV went out. 75" ended up being a perfect size and I sit about 10.5 feet from the TV. I wanted something that would properly display 4K and Dolby digital along with quality UHD, and the similarly priced Samsung and others get very poor ratings there. It was between this and the TLC six series and I chose this one. Very glad I did. Rich and vibrant colors when watching 4K and Dolby Netflix. I was used to Roku but I really like the android TV as well. This is a no brainer for the price it's going to cost much more for something equivalent or better other than the TLC. Buy one....

This TV is legit. I also have a Sony x950h, and while I will not go as far as saying this TV is just as good. It’s close. The price premium you pay for the Sony is better colors outside of the box and the motion handling is better with the Sony.
But both use the same smart TV software (Sony gives you more PQ control) and both have full array local dimming. However one costs a fraction of the cost. Use the savings to buy a sound system and have the Geek Squad come and calibrate the colors.
You will not be disappointed. Oh and btw. My Sony x950h has terrible panel issues and blooming, so brand snobs need not apply, all LCDs have issues.

I have been researching 75" UHD TVs for 6 months. I had narrowed it down to 3 choices. Samsung, TCL, or Hisense. I saw a lot of reviews. Hisense got very good reviews. I decided on it. After turning on the TV. I started expoloring it. I liked how easy it was to set up. The set up process was done in under ten minutes. Extremely easy. I liked that the remote could be paired via bluetooth. I liked the picture, sound. Basically I liked everything so far. Now i tried to open Netflix on the TV. No such luck. I could open CBS all access, but that would not stream on the TV. I contacted support. After a little while, I was sent an email with instructions on updating the firmware. I did that, and updated the TV. Went through set up again. But still was not able to open Netflix, or stream CBS all access. Then I started getting a montage of mixed up videa content. It was like the time I tried to put a Radion graphics card in my computer that was incompatible. Just a screen showing what looked like a shredded letter improperly put back together. I have decided to return the TV. I will now purchase the TCL. Looking forward to sharing a 5 star review on that one.

Overall good value. Clarity and color decent although not as vibrant or impressive as the more expensive better known brands. Android OS instead of "Smart" has some limitations with iPhone conectivity. Works well with Google Home devices. Voice controllable and Chromecast built in. Remote easy to use. Would be nice though if it lit up when used.

We've had this television for about two weeks now and it is STELLAR!
It was very easy to set up, i.e. get it out of the box, attach the legs and put it on our stand (a coffee table elevated with 2" x 6" pieces of wood). I will say that the structure of the legs makes it difficult to pull out and get behind (such as to attach cables). We had to put another coffee table next to it, with books on top to level it out. LARGE-sized books on top, because the feet are about eighteen inches wide.
As soon we got the cables attached and plugged it in.. WOW! Absolutely glorious! Full 4K HDR vibrant video. Just amazing.
The operating system was pretty easy to navigate with the included Remote Control. I followed guidelines of reviews online to set a basis for calibration. Then, used the THX Tune Up app to really hunker down the best settings for MY set.
We've used the Netflix and Amazon apps built-in to the TV and it works fine. However, we're more used to our Apple TV set up and use that most often (all the time). It has Dolby Vision HDR which really brings out the colors.
With four HDMI inputs (including one also for Audio Return Channel (ARC)), and one optical output, this television has all we need. For the optical output, we had to ensure the correct setting for 5.1 sound out to our receiver (a thirteen year old Onkyo-it doesn't do 4K itself, so can't run video through it). We listened to the internal TV speakers, but as expected, of course, they were just okay (probably better than most, though).
We use our Cox Cable DVR box, PlayStation 3, and aforementioned Apple TV with this television. All looks and sounds great!
For the money, I don't think you can beat this television set. I read many reviews for hours and hours over several days. The TCL 6-series (R635) was another valid choice (has Roku built-in but costs a couple hundred dollars more). Samsung and LG have great quality sets, of course, but they are much pricier for comparable picture quality. For comparison, the Samsung Q70 (no Dolby Vision HDR) and LG NANO90 (which won't give you as good an HDR experience. Both of these televisions are about $500 more.

The colors were pretty accurate out of the box. The local dimming is respectable for a budget TV. The upscaling of HD content isn't the best but it's not bad. The UHD content is, on the other hand, outstanding. Even compressed video like YouTube and Netflix are amazing. The black levels are not OLED levels of black but, the TV is also not 4 thousand dollars. With that said, with the local dimming and quantum dots, the black levels are good and the contrast is great. It advertises 700 nits. I haven't measured it but, after watching a few sunny scenes in HDR, I have no reason to doubt the claim.
The only down side is the pixel response time (not the input lag; that's fine). There is a lot of ghosting in games (even in game mode) and, if you're sensitive to it, you'll notice it. I did, however, get used to it pretty quick.
The only thing missing is a manual. Hisense doesn't even have one available on their website (at the time of this review). This TV has a LOT of options for fine tuning the picture and a manual would have really helped.

I love my Hisense! Initially I had trouble getting it to communicate with a Vizio soundbar, but when I decided to return the soundbar and go with surround speakers I was in business. I would have given it a 4 because of this issue, but I believe it was just the soundbar's problem. Other than that, I love the picture quality and features. One thing I wish is that it was Roku rather than Android, but that is a minor inconvenience for such a great TV at an even better price.

If you are looking for a near perfect 4k picture with better than average contrast and near Sony picture quality, consider this one. I have a Sony A1E OLED 65 inch in another room and I didn't want to spend 5k on a 75 inch for the living room. This Hisense fit the bill perfectly. Its ANDROID based so its very user friendly without needing to consult the manual. The give you one to read over, but If you are familiar with these tvs then its a breeze.

Overview: After owning an older Hisense TV, I had some baseline expectations for their new flagship series. Generally, I only purchase high tier models from legacy brands such as Samsung, Panasonic, and Sony but I am quite impressed with the level of quality this budget brand is able to produce. If you’re looking for a large TV with good quality picture and specs, but on a budget, I would highly recommend considering this model. Although I can’t give this TV four stars, I do believe that this is a solid buy at this price point. Very few people would be disappointed unless you’re looking for the best picture quality and screen technology.
Unboxing/set up: This is a massive TV weighing over 60 pounds and requires freight delivery. I highly recommend having a second person to help you unbox and set up the TV to avoid any damage. I believe one of the key features of this TV is the Android OS. You don’t need to be familiar with android in order to have a quality experience with this operating system on the TV. However, for those with an android phone and other devices, you will truly enjoy the integration into your ecosystem. This TV comes with four HDMI ports. I prefer to connect via ethernet. Overall, set up took under 30 minutes from unboxing to watching Netflix.
Design: this is a high-end looking TV. It has a thin bezel and modern architectural stand. This allows you to fully immerse yourself into whatever you are viewing and almost give it an infinity edge type look. This TV would have no issue blending into a simple or luxury setup. I think that’s a part of where Hisense tends to excel the most.
Remote: simple and effective. Although, it does feel like a cheap/flimsy remote. It doesn’t have any contours or luxurious look and feel to it, as do the other competitors. The remote itself does not have voice capability, but the TV does have built-in Alexa and Google assistant support. There is no backlighting which is something I would like to see on a traditional style remote. There is no support for multi device use either.
Android OS/Smart functionality: As I briefly mentioned before, the integration with the Android ecosystem is quite flawless. I think earlier on in Hisense’s days, their user interface was significantly worse than what it is now. The incorporation of Android OS allows you to have everything synced up through one account (for existing Android users). You also get to use the Google play store, which enable access to so many apps that are generally better designed than those designed specifically for a specific TV OS. At first, I thought that the utilization of Alexa and Google assistant would just be another gimmick to slap on for marketing. However, as I learned how to use it appropriately, I now enjoy using Google assistant on a regular basis whether it’s to search for a movie, or to control the TV. These features make this a better TV and an overall more enjoyable experience.
Picture quality: Compared to the highest end TVs I have personally seen (in the $2500-$3000 range), I would say this TV makes it at least 80% of the way there and would almost be negligible to the average viewer. I never noticed any significant issues with motion blur in fast paced action scenes, nor in some replayed live sports. However, for sports I didn’t feel that it was as crisp and clean as a higher-end TV would be, but it didn’t detract from an enjoyable viewing experience. I have placed this TV in a very bright room and this it shined the entire time. There were no issues with a dim viewing experience. I generally test out new TVs for dark scenes using the first two movies of Christian Bale’s Batman. Although I truly did enjoy watching those movies on this TV, you can see where the budget side of this screen comes out more. In very dark scenes (such as those in The Dark Knight), blacks would get washed out and wouldn’t have the appropriate level of contrast that I would hope to see in a higher-end TV. Many times, you would see that typical greying instead of blackness that you hope to achieve. Overall, this is a very difficult area to judge a TV on since it is a common issue for many TVs, and the degree of how much that matters is variable from person to person. I don’t heavily ding a budget TV on this, but it’s something important to consider. Inclusion of HDR also make this a quality set. Unfortunately, content fully supporting HDR is limited and I cannot truthfully say this TV is better or worse than others in terms of HDR. All in all, I do think you are getting a quality picture at a very good price point that would compete with TVs more expensive than this one.
Gaming: Full disclosure I would never recommend real gaming on a TV this size. Although the graphics maybe much more appreciable as well as more enjoyable for an audience, I do not think this is a gaming TV. I was able to play Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, Need for Speed, and Red Dead Redemption enjoyably. Of those games, COD is really the only one which input lag is a concern. I didn’t think that for the average gamer it would be of an issue, but this TV is not for any hard-core gamer.
Sound: This day in age you should definitely have, at minimum, a decent sound bar to supplement your TV. The sound is average when it comes to the built-in speakers. It gets loud enough so that you can hear it clearly in a loud room. Aside from that, as someone who has a home theater, I can’t say that this has any level of enjoyable sound output that would be good for a movie or otherwise. It does have Dolby Atmos to improve the sound experience from the built-in speakers, but I just don’t think it is a remarkable feature or experience.
Conclusion: If you’re looking for a very large TV, on a budget, and with good picture quality, you’ve found it. This isn’t really a five-star TV, but at four stars, I would still highly recommend it. The picture quality is solid, and the features are complete. It has a good user-interface and smart features that are actually useful. If you want to save a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, or if you just don’t have the budget but still want a large TV, you’ll be pretty happy with this purchase in the long-term.

I already had the 50" version of this TV which prompted me to look at this one also. The picture is outstanding with some adjustment. Anything in high def (720P) or better is great and the upscaling makes it look nearly as good as 4K. Watching 4K content is near OLED looking. SD programming it doesn't do as good a job, but not much worse than the Samsung and Sharp 4K tv's I have. It's definitely a great deal for the picture and with this size tv, you will probably have it hooked up to a theater system, so haven't even tried the speakers. I've had the 50" version for a few months now with no problems, so hoping for good longevity. The Android TV UI is very easy to use and has lots of app options.
