The tv is great. Android tv isn’t great and the live tv/antenna menu is lacking But the price is half of any similar spec tv out there that I found.

First lesson learned: TVs are much bigger in my living room than they are in the showroom at Best Buy. The box indicates that TWO people are required to lift a television this size. They are right. This was definitely not something I was going to surprise the wife with while she slept. Two people. The only physical challenge to the physical setup was the sheer size of this monster. We actually pondered rearranging the room in four ways before settling on what would work best. The configuration setup was one of the easiest I have ever done with a piece of A/V equipment. The initial on-screen guide was easy to follow, and every step made sense. A nice feature is that the setup can be run again later if it seems I've screwed it up somehow, and it's easy to find in the menu. I had some difficulty getting my old Logitech Harmony One remote to work with it. I blame Logitech's software. The newest version makes it difficult to do specific customizations like the old version did, and it couldn't find this model in Logitech's database. Normally, I would just force it to learn all the new remote's commands, but there was no way to select the HDMI port I am using. (#4, because the others required I run out and buy a longer HDMI cable) I tried Logitech's older software, which was agonizingly slow to use (I spent over an hour trying to program it). Eventually, I admitted defeat, and we are using the Hisense remote to power the TV on and off. With my A/V system, I don't ever need to switch inputs, as everything goes through my A/V receiver. I played around a little with the apps, which were pleasantly fast and easily controlled. Being an Android device, downloading new apps was a snap. We did a side-by-side (sort of) comparison of a movie in 4k (UHD) vs. standard HD. The 4k detail was astonishing, and with a screen this size, I'm wondering how long before I start replacing my Blu-ray discs with the 4k versions... I did encounter an annoying problem: the 4k picture was so much darker than the standard HD that we both preferred the standard HD version. I did some research and found out that there is a very good explanation for this, and I tend to agree with the industry's choices, but that didn't change what we liked visually. HERE'S THE FIX: While viewing 4k video, set the HDR to "Standard" rather than "Energy Saver". This only brightens up 4k video, so the two formats are more "equal".

What I really wanted to have is VIZIO QX line. However, it was sold out around my area. The quality is decent but you don't want to put any lights front side of the screen. It really makes me hard to watch screen due to the reflection of the light. Sound quality was OK but better to have additional sound bar or so. AndroidOS is good.

Experienced extreme black crush. No matter what settings I used, I couldn’t get rid of the soap opera effect either. Ended up returning. Have a Vizio V series that has much better picture.

    Very Impressed by This TV

Im going to tell you that I have never heard of HiSense before this TV and I was skeptical about getting it, BUT after researching and receiving the TV I can honestly say I am IMPRESSED!! Okay so Ive been using the TV for 7 days now and Ive been able to set it up and use its features and put it through its places as far as watch different sources and play 4k Games on it, Heres My Review...... The first thing you will notice about this TV is that its HUGE (I got the 75) and that it has this amazingly thin bezel around the screen and its just beautiful. Upon setting it up you will be able to set up and personalize the TV with your Android phone with just a few clicks and then the TV will check for Updates and if available it will Update itself.. The whole setup process what extremely easy and within 5 minutes (minus the update) I was up and running and watching gorgeous 4k content on YouTube via the Built-In App. So once I got this TV setup and running the next thing I wanted to do is wall mount it. BEWARE that its heavy and it does not come with the required spacers or hardware needed to successfully and safely mount the TV. I had to go to a local hardware store for the correct spacers and screws because my existing mount was already setup and able to hold tv's up to 130lbs. This tv weighs around 70 so I was good there, like I said just needed the correct hardware. With this TV on the wall it changes everything. *NOTE - All connections and power are easily accessed while the TV is mounted on the wall as long as you have the correct spacers in place. FEATURES: The last 7 days I have used google assistant to find out the latest news or the current or future forecast and with the dedicated button on the remote that's super easy to do. The assistant responded quickly and accurately just as on my google home mini! I also have the TV setup with Alexa and I am able to turn it on or off with just my voice and I really like that feature. So using this TV with Netflix and Youtube the picture quality is really amazing. Now the TV this is replacing is a high end TV also and the picture this has is just as good if not better because the Blacks are much deeper, almost like an OLED TV. I believe the Quantum Dot Technology is very similar but as long as your putting in a clean high definition signal to this TV its going to wow you! Gaming was also very good, response times I did not notice any lag at all in the controls and again the quality of the picture was great. The TV itself is very easy to use and the menu systems are straightforward, not like some other TV's with tons of sub menus.. The built-in Speakers are also very loud I believe I saw something like 30 watts. But they are loud and clear, so you shouldn't have any issues there. I do have a surround system hooked up via the headphone port in the back of the TV, and that was also easy to setup in the menu, where you can choose to have tv speakers and headphone port or you can just have headphone port which will deactivate the builtin speakers in the TV. If you looking for a new TV I say give this one a look, do some research and watch some reviews and you will probably be pleasantly surprised!

    Great 4K HDR TV

Hisense Quantum 4K ULED 75H8G Assembly - 5/5 Setup - 5/5 OS Update - 5/5 Menu System - 5/5 Controller - 5/5 HDR - 5/5 Ease of use - 5/5 The Hisense Quantum 4K ULED 75H8G is simple to setup. There are two locations to install the legs which give you the option of wide or narrow footing. This was helpful to me as the stand I have wouldn't have supported the wide stance, but it does support the narrow stance. It's easy to install the legs using the 4 screws provided. Each has two phillips head screws to install. Given how large the 75" model is, I recommend two people to initially get it out of the box, install the legs, and place the TV on your TV stand. Once that is done, it's a very quick and straight forward process to get the TV powered on and go through the initial setup. During setup, you have the option of pulling WiFi settings from your device or tablet or you can enter the settings manually. If you are using a LAN connection on a DHCP network, there there is nothing to do expect plug in the LAN cable. Once you connect it to the internet and agree to terms and conditions, you are taken to the apps. Apps can be downloaded and installed from the Google Play Store. It's intuitive to launch an app on the TV and to select input sources. The menu is simplified which makes it very easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. During my first week with the H8G, the TV needed an OS update. The update process took about 10 minutes, but was as simple as you would expect. Select update and it will be automatic from there. It also has Google Assistant which is a plus. The remote control isn't overly complicated and has a few buttons for common apps which keeps the remote down to a reasonable size. The 75H8G is an HDR TV. I was able to see HDR video from a streaming device that was connected to one of the 4 4K60Hz HDMI ports. HDR video displayed on the TV as expected with a high quality vibrant HDR image. Overall, after a week with the TV, I'm pleased with what Hisense has in the Quantum line. I would recommend the TV to someone who is looking for a good quality HDR TV at a reasonable price.

Every single day my tv will not turn on with the remote or button on the tv unless I disconnect the power cord, I already have the latest firmware K016 and did a factory reset and the TV still does this, I have contacted Hisense and still do not hear from them, turning on the TV should never fail and yet it does every day. The autodim does not work properly either, the backlight is bright and will not dim in the dark, I went by rtings.com review to get this tv and I am kind of disapointed.
