The tv has really great detail and is a great value but I wonder if I have a defective one. Upon startup each time the screen is super fuzzy for about 2-5 seconds. Very janky looking.

    Excellent Picture Quality for Less!

The picture quality on this panel is superb. The colors pop and the blacks are as inky as you can get without going to OLED. When you watch content with black bars on the top and bottom, the black bars are actually black. I saw character’s faces lit in detail on top of inky blackness in the campfire scene in Fallout Episode 2. That said, the panel is a bit glossier than my old TV but after a few days I didn’t notice the difference anymore. The viewing angles are really good, making this set great for a family room with multiple seating positions. Dolby Vision support is included which makes for some incredible 4K HDR experiences if your content supports it. The picture quality is so good that I replaced a perfectly fine 3-year-old flagship TV from a name brand competitor that easily had cost me twice as much at the time. The reason for doing so is the Mini-LED technology, or full array dimming. Mini-LED serves as a great middle ground between the premium (and pricey) picture quality of OLED and the standard backlit LED sets of yesteryear. However, Hisense seems to have disabled full array dimming by default meaning it’s not any better than a standard LED screen. Make sure you turn on the full array dimming, which is in the picture quality settings, as the difference is night and day. Take a look at the picture where the Local Dimming I have turned to "High". The remote is very nice, it has a brushed metal look and lights up making it easier to use. Despite being an “Apple household”, the built-in Google TV has every app I need including Apple TV and the TV supports Homekit which means you can stream from an iPhone or use one as a remote over wifi. As good as this TV is, it is a midrange set and Hisense had to save some top-of-the-line features for their flagship, the U8. This means you will only get a 60hz panel and HDMI 2.0, which is fine if you only use it for streaming content or even watching 4K blurays because as far as I know no one streams faster than 60hz. Gamers might be looking for 120hz, but honestly, I’ve been using my PS5 and I don’t think many will miss the faster refresh considering the picture quality and value of this TV. The other feature held back is that the peak brightness is only rated at 600 nits. While plenty bright, you might need to go with the higher end model if it’s going to be in a bright room. The only other minor nitpick is sometimes the Google TV interface will lag or stutter especially when trying to navigate or load an app. I'm not sure if it’s a remote issue, software issue, a wifi issue, or if that’s just normal. However, once I am within an app and playing content things are fine. Regarding sound, I have it hooked up to a home theater system via the eARC HDMI output so I can’t comment on the sound quality. If you do go this route though all of the sound from either an app on the TV or an input such as game console is correctly piped through my stereo speakers, and I can control the volume as expected using the TV remote. Pros: 75” Mini-LED with Full Array Dimming Dolby Vision, HDR10/+, HLG Excellent Viewing Angles Google TV Built-in (w/ Apple TV app) Apple Airplay and Homekit Support Lighted Remote with Google Assistant Weighs only ~60 lbs. 2 Year Warranty Cons: Only 60hz Only 600 Nits Peak Brightness Some stuttering in Apps Overall – The Hisense U6N offers excellent picture quality at a compelling value. The only reason not to get it is to consider their higher end model if you need 120hz for gaming or more peak brightness.

Store didn’t even attempt to make the situation right. Not hey we’re sorry your day was wasted Installing a bad tv. Can we swap it here for something different. Nothing. They even debated on whether or not to return it. I brought it back same day as purchase. Just poor customer service. Screen isn't broken. Something messed up with LEDs.

The product is amazing except that my tv came with no screws. It was too heavy to mount on my wall so I had to use the legs and I had nothing to put it up. Long story short $30 later it required a m5 screw

The Hisense U6 Smart Google TV is objectively not the best 75” TV on the market. But if you ask me if I care, I will decisively tell you no every time. Because you can’t go wrong at this price point. You’re getting a gigantic TV that supports 4K content with above average image quality coming from a mini LED panel that is locally dimmed. For the average user like myself that uses a TV for content consumption in the form of sports, movies, and YouTube, you’ll be impressed. Setup is easy and the adjustable feet allow you to put it on just about size shelf or TV stand. It will quite literally fit on any 4 cube organizer. Long term stability is questionable, but it will fit. The Google OS makes it easy to log in and sync data among your other devices. As long as you aren’t whispering or mumbling, the voice remote will get you where you want to go 99% of the time. The native apps have worked well thus far. I personally can’t really complain at all about this TV. It’s big, doesn’t break the bank, and will get you a lot of compliments from your friends who come over to watch the NBA finals. What more could you ask for?

The Hisense 75 inch U6 Smart Google TV is a great value proposition for anyone looking to up their screen size game at a reasonable cost, while not making huge sacrifices on presentation, picture or performance across a pretty decent variety of situations. This screen definitely falls in the ‘bang for your buck’ category, while it doesn’t blow you away in any particular manner or segment of design, it provides a pretty vibrant and consistent viewing experience as an expectation with what you are spending. I was moving on from an five-year-old 60 inch flatscreen in my basement, wall mounted at a distance of about 10 feet from couch to screen, and the jump in size within that spatial environment was a perfect upgrade. The screen is big, but if you aren’t in a room where you are sitting basically on top of it, the presentation is really nice. Out of the box, I didn’t find that any of the build compromises made to achieve the quality at the price point to be disappointing. It is a pretty solid unit, the black plastic enclosure being fairly sturdy, with an almost bezel-less design around most of the perimeter except the bottom, which houses the various sensor arrays and a microphone on/off switch. The TV doesn’t have a particularly deep chassis, which is a pleasant surprise for a screen so large. I wall mounted the TV as opposed to using the legs and setting it on a console, reusing an existing full motion kit that was already installed, the unit sat great and fit the wall beautifully. It sits off the wall about 6 inches from the front edge of the screen. I know, I should change it to a low-profile tilt-mount to reduce the depth a bit, but between kids jockeying one gaming system or another in and out, it is easier to be able to swing out the screen and do the cabling. Installation was relatively simple as the TV has a standard VESA bolt pattern on the back to affix any compatible mount kit. At about 60 pounds, most any kit in the 50 to 80 inch range can support the unit with ease, and I was able to get this one up myself (not recommended – it is a little unwieldly if you don’t have a large wingspan). Connectivity – the versatility of the TV provided by the Android IOS was a large part of what allows the unit to shine for us. We as a family have cut the cable cord, so we are all-streaming, all the time. Living off of various apps like Fubo, Netflix and Amazon Prime among other streaming apps, having a pretty robust app store is a huge plus. The interface is attractive and really easy to navigate, and the Google Store ecosystem is packed with a variety of apps and games to fill whatever need we have. My wife is a runner, and has a nice treadmill with a small screen and an app called iFit that provides live or on-demand workouts, which is in the Google store. Now she can run watching on a 75 inch screen instead of the 7 inch one on the treadmill. While the TV does have WiFi capabilities which work well (we tested wireless with zero noticeable lag), I utilized the CAT ethernet connection on the back to integrate the TV into my home network. Having the hard connection is great, and you can navigate in and around the IOS and store with speed and ease. Setting the TV up using my Google credentials gave direct access to my personal Youtube channel, and the Chrome casting and Apple Airplay capabilities are awesome. My daughter does all of her school work (and spends her downtime browsing) using her Chromebook, now she casts her homework or presentation work to the big screen when it benefits her, or play some games with friends in the basement on the browser while running some music on Spotify in the background. I tend to watch the TV myself primarily in the evening, be it sports or some of the Marvel Universe. The new screen technology is a game-changer of an upgrade over what we had before. The min-LED technology increases the LED backlighting from dozens to thousands, which provides more precise control over brightness, with bright whites and deep true blacks. The absolute crispness of the picture is outstanding, with a whole new level of color gamut than I was used to. Hisense notes that the Quantum Dot technology brings over a billion colors into play, we ran a family movie and restreamed the 4K version of The Lost City with Dolby Vision and it was like my private IMAX theater. There are numerous settings to manipulate the contrast, clarity and color, along with the normal array of screen presets, I find leaving it on Standard to be pretty rewarding for most media types- but there are options for those that like cooler/crisper color profiles. Again, for the price, I wasn’t expecting a super high level of calibration control but there is a pretty decent amount of calibration available here. I personally find that keeping ambient room lighting low by the screen greatly helps in getting the most mileage out of the color vibrancy and the depth of dark blacks. The HDR IQ functionality works amazing, as the room the TV in can vacillate between medium light and dark depending on time of day. As to the sound, you get what you should expect in budget-level TV speakers, maybe even a tad higher quality than you think. Thankfully, my older TV was equipped with a 5.1.2 channel Dolby Atmos soundbar and speaker setup, and that rig works amazingly through the eARC HDMI port on the back. This price range of television gets you a good picture, and leaves you with some money in your pocket to get a decent soundbar upgrade to pull it all together. Lastly, if you’re a gamer and are in the market for a large format screen, you aren’t shopping in this price tier or using these specs to find your screen -but my son plugged in his Xbox One and Nintendo switch. To get the maximal experience, make sure you put it in Enhanced HDMI Format, to ensure the TV is at its full resolution. There is also a Game Settings section where you can manually adjust contrast and black level to your custom liking, or select other settings like High Refresh Rate Mode and Instant Game Response, which automatically detects settings on the attached device. There is a PC Sync mode, to adjust to a dynamic refresh rate should you connect to a PC, and it utilizes AMD FreeSync as the adaptive sync technology. The gaming overall is outstanding, we plugged in Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as Assassins Creed Origins and the HDR (High Dynamic Range) experience is definitely noticeable – really expressive details in the contrast ranges between the brights and darks, as well as super-immersive and vivid color experiences. It was like watching a movie during some of the game scenes. There was no noticeable artifacting or tearing at all…..gameplay was crisp and responsive. All in, there is definitely a heigh ceiling of value here for the screen size, higher-end technology and pretty abundant features that you receive at this price point. You are getting yourself a heck of a deal on a pretty versatile 4K capable screen with awesome brightness, color depth and movement that translates into a lux movie viewing and gaming experience. Definitely recommended if you are looking for entry into the min-LED experience.

After reading reviews about the clarity and performance of the Mini LED TVs, I've been wanting to get one to replace an outdated (8 yr old) TV. This Hisense TV is a great bargain without needing to spend $2-3K. You do need two people to unbox and get the TV setup. Since we were going to sit it on the table, we attached the legs (it is also setup to mount on the wall). You have the option of putting the legs closer together (in case your table isn't wide enough for the legs being put closer to the edge of the TV). I thought that was a nice option for people upgrading from smaller TVs that may have tables sized for the smaller TV. Setting up the TV took longer than I expected. From the time we powered it on to the time it was usable was about 30-35 minutes. The reason for this was the multiple downloads and installs you need to do get the TV up to date. This isn't a big deal since it is a one time process and you don't have to actively do anything while it is downloading and installing the updates. On to the important stuff...the picture quality. WOW! Watching 4K content on this TV is incredible. I have the 4K add-on for YoutubeTV and watched a few nature episodes filmed in 4K. Incredible clarity! We are sitting about 7 feet from the TV which allows you to see image in outstanding detail. A+ for the picture at the price point of this TV. The big challenge with 4K is the availability of content. I'm expecting UHD content to be more and more prevalent over the next few years. At this point, many of your big sporting events are filmed or upscaled to 4K and there is 4K content from various providers (YoutubeTV and Netflix for example); however, the majority of what you watch will still be in HD (1080 or 720). This TV does a great job with that content as well. For those that are sports enthusiasts, this TV has all 60Hz inputs. For fast motion, 120Hz is better but you also have to bump up in price to get it. For the value, this set does a nice job with fast motion sports (ball being thrown, people running, etc.). You do see some shadowing on it while the TV tries to keep up with the motion, but I didn't feel that it detracted from the viewing experience. Overall, this is a great TV for the price point and I would recommend it.

The Hisense 75” Class U6 Series Mini-LED 4K UHD QLED Smart Google TV (2024) is a solid choice for those seeking a large-screen TV with advanced features at a reasonable price point. With its Mini-LED backlighting, this TV delivers excellent brightness and contrast, making it a good option for watching movies, sports, or gaming in various lighting conditions. The QLED technology enhances color accuracy and vibrancy, ensuring a rich and immersive viewing experience. The integration of Google TV provides a seamless smart TV experience with access to a vast library of apps, content recommendations, and Google Assistant for voice control. Additionally, the inclusion of HDR formats like Dolby Vision and HDR10+ enhances the detail and realism of high-definition content. While the picture quality is impressive, the sound performance may be average compared to premium models, so pairing it with a soundbar could improve the audio experience. Its gaming-friendly features, such as a low input lag and Game Mode, make it appealing to casual gamers, though serious gamers might miss advanced features like HDMI 2.1 for high-frame-rate gaming. Overall, the Hisense U6 Series offers excellent value for a 75-inch TV, blending modern features and quality performance at an accessible price.

I was looking for a 75" TV with excellent picture quality for under $1,000. I have been very happy with the Hisense U6 so far. It has great contrast, solid brightness, colors look accurate, and the motion handling on 24p content strikes a good balance between minimizing judder and maintaining a natural cinematic feel. For comparison, my other TV is a 55" LG C1 OLED, which has stupendous picture quality, but I end up tinkering with settings more than I would like to because I am sensitive to judder and hate smooth interpolation, and different inputs and streaming apps work better with specific settings. The U6's Mini LED display is a bit more of a plug and play option, while not compromising much from the quality of an OLED. No opinion on sound quality, as I have it running through a Sonos Playbar 5.1 setup.

I was initially hesitant about getting a Hisense, but this 75" U6 Series Mini-LED TV blew me away. The picture quality is absolutely stunning. The Mini-LED backlighting combined with QLED technology delivers deep blacks, vivid colors, and fantastic brightness, even in a bright room. It feels like I brought the movie theater home. Setup was a breeze, and the Google TV interface is super intuitive. It runs smoothly, and I had all my favorite apps (Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Disney+) ready to go in minutes. Voice control with Google Assistant works like a charm, and the remote has convenient shortcut buttons. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. It’s clear, well-balanced, and fills the room nicely. While hardcore audiophiles might still prefer a soundbar, for everyday use it's more than enough. For gamers, this TV is also a win. It includes HDMI eARC, ALLM, and low input lag, making it a great match for next-gen consoles. Gaming in 4K has never looked better. Overall, this is probably the best bang-for-your-buck TV in the 75" range right now. Premium features at a mid-range price—what more can you ask for? Highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their home entertainment setup.

This tv is an awesome deal! I bought it for $600 and the picture is beautiful with brilliant colors and deep darks. The sound was also surprisingly great as I was planning on using my sound bar and sub but find myself not needing to use them most of the time. I will say there is an odd video to audio delay when using an optical cable and sound bar but the tv has an adjustable audio delay in order to correct that. The 75" Version of the TV comes with and upgraded display panel. Definitely Recommend this TV Best 75" TV under $1000!

Amazing picture quality and tech for a budget tier screen. After calibration, compares very favorably to my Bravia. Deep blacks.. excellent contrast.. edge to edge brightness that blows my mind for the price. The remote ia the best of any TV I have owned. Backlit metal that lights up as soon as your touch it (vs having to push a button) Only con is the TV defaulting to home screen on startup. -

I was looking for a TV that wouldn’t break the bank but wasn’t the bottom of the barrel, and this TV fit the bill perfectly. I was hesitant after doing some research and reading some ratings, but decided to give it a try. I’m coming from an inexpensive 55 inch Toshiba Fire TV from 2020, so anything would be an upgrade. The local dimming works very well and the quality is definitely an upgrade. Obviously it is’t as perfect as the more expensive high end models, sometimes the OS is a little slow and there aren’t as many local dimming zones as higher end models, but it’s a great TV.

Picture quality is great. Would recommend TV to anyone looking for this price range but not wanting to step up to OLED. Google TV is quirky. Hulu users beware, this TV is an Android OS TV and Hulu app does not stream at full 4k/UHD if you run Hulu via the TV processor. If you do, the max quality is 1080p. This is an issue with Hulu and not necessarily with the TV, but worth noting the compatibility issue. I resolved the issue by running Hulu on a 4k Fire Stick directly into my soundbar and connected to TV via EARC.

I recently purchased the Hisense 75" Class U6 Series Mini-LED 4K UHD QLED Smart Google TV, and I couldn’t be happier with my choice! This TV delivers an exceptional viewing experience that combines outstanding picture quality with an unbeatable price point. The Mini-LED and QLED technology make a significant difference, providing vibrant colors, deep blacks, and impressive brightness levels. Whether watching movies, gaming, or streaming shows, the picture quality is consistently sharp and immersive. The 4K UHD resolution ensures every detail pops, making it a delight to watch. The Google TV platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, offering access to a wide range of streaming apps and services. The voice control feature with Google Assistant is a game-changer, making it simple to search for content or adjust settings hands-free. The setup was straightforward, and the TV’s sleek design added a modern touch to my living room. Despite its massive size, it feels like a premium addition without overwhelming the space. We overall love this TV. Great picture and has worked great from the start. Set up was easy and the remote works with all of our external devices without a headache. BUT, you have to log in to your google account in order to utilize the voice feature on the remote, which I don't love. Even when using our Apple TV, we can't use the microphone option on the Hisense remote because we aren't logged in, which means if we want to use that function we either have to log in to google on the TV or use our Apple TV remote. It's not a huge issue, but a bit annoying.
