I am actually shocked at how great the picture quality is. I just watched a 4K movie on my dads 82" Samsung QLED and I wasn't impressed with the picture quality. On the Hisense it's much brighter and I figured out how to get the YouTube videos not to be choppy like they originally were. I don't yet have a system that can play games 4K at 120 FPS but I think it might have improved the graphics in my PS4 and Xbox One so I'm extremely satisfied with the sale price of $1,200 and everything I get out of it. I get OLED is best but OLED could also have a 75" around $2,000 and I looked at I think the Vizio OLED but this TV had all the features so I felt I could wait a few years for them to maybe drop in price because I would prefer and LG OLED but time will tell. The only problem I've ran into is sometimes when the sound bar is hooked up it works and other times it's quiet so I need to figure out what is going on there.

This was my second Hisense TV I bought the 65 H9G last year and was so impressed I didn't hesitate to pull the trigger on the replacement for the H9G which is the U7G...now I am a retired ISF Av calibrator so I know displays and I did all my homework prior to both purchases and even with high expections I was still blown away with the image quality once I got the TV dialed in...I also purchased the 77 A80J...and while I do consider the A80J better and second only to the A90J both Sonys...it really isn't as big as I would have thought given the technology difference between OLED and full array LED..in fact I have purchsed two more Hisense a U6G and a U7G as gifts for my kids for Christmas...nothing at this price can beat these TVS...nothing!!!...I am not adding photos because bo photo would do them the justice they deserve

The picture quality is great. I am a Google fan, love all things Google Tv and Android, but Hisenses attempt is a fail. The Android TV implementation isn't perfect. It was really buggy interacting with my other Google Assistants - I'd ask them to turn this TV off or on and it couldn't. Suddenly it just started working - and now I can turn them on or off by name. It's an android based tv, yet casting isn't as smooth as using a Chromecast. The tv itself has an obnoxious implementation of the Google assistant that's difficult to disable. Left on it reacts to everything and is constantly interrupting things. If you turn the physical switch on the tv microphone on off these bright lights stay on - annoying. If you want to disable the assistant on the tv and use your other assistants like I did, leave the switch near the mic on (so those lights don't come on) and dive into the app permissions for the Google app on the tv and remove microphone permissions . It's sad that the Ethernet connection is only 10/100, so if you need it faster you have to use wifi. (honestly just hoped better on a 2022 tv. Not a big deal). The sound is decent enough for a medium size room.

Picture looks outstanding for a supposedly IPS panel. There was some blooming on scenes against a completely dark background but otherwise no complaints. The tv has great brightness too! Works great with the PS5 as it is capable of 4K/120hz. The build quality was not the best but was not expecting it in this price range. For the price, this tv is an amazing value!

This tv is an excellent option for someone who wants a really good tv experience but isn’t ready to enter into the fray of the oled world. Google assistant is excellent and the tv is responsive. The variable refresh rate and the option to game at 4k 120hz makes this a great option for ps5 and Xbox series x game play. My only complaint is that prior to me getting an Av receiver, I did not have enough hdmi ports for all of the devices I wanted to plug in to the tv. I play a lot of retro consoles and i dislike using hdmi switches/splitters.

So far, a couple weeks after getting it set up, I haven't really had any issues with the tv itself. I was disappointed that an app I wanted to use wasn't available on android tv but it is not the fault of the tv. I haven't used the apps too much on the tv because I have all of the main apps on my xbox. I did see an issue with Dolby Digital on Netflix and Amazon Prime on the xbox, but I am unsure if the fault lies with xbox, Netflix, Amazon, or the tv. Overall though, the picture is great on the tv. For it being on the lower end of tv's with 4K and 120 refresh rate, I would say the tv has been performing great.

For the price, the 75 inch U7G is a nice TV. I am not an expert and not very picky with color, darkness, contrast, etc. that some people talk about. For the people who wants the best, they should be looking at TVs at a higher price level. For watching broadcast TV, amazon prime movies and youtube, this is great. I would like to clear up some misinformation found here under questions and answers. The distance between the TV legs for my set is about 49.5 inches x 15 inches. There is only this one set of leg attachments under my set. There is NOT the 2 settings as mentioned in the Q&A section. On AVS forum, people said they reversed the legs by putting the left leg on right side and right leg on left side to achieve a narrower footprint. But I suspect this hack does not provide the stability needed for this 75 inch size TV. I also tried to connect my Roku Ultra to HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 ports. My Roku's auto video detect did not confirm a 4K connection. I rebooted the Ruku a few times while connected to HDMI 1 and it worked, but was not consistent. Maybe it is an issue with the Roku. But I did not use the Roku anyway since I found the picture quality is better using the smart TV's installed streaming apps (amazon prime) than from the same apps on Roku. One last observation is that the response time on the Hisense U7G's android TV interface is very fast, at least for the current firmware. I did not need to use my Roku or fire TV for streaming. I can't say much about the sound since I connect the TV to a sound bar via HDMI ARC port.

I was initially very impressed with the Hisense - 75" Class U7G Series Quantum ULED 4K UHD Smart Android TV. It has lots of great features such as IMAX, Dolby audio and video, local dimming, light sensors, active contrast, etc. It's the best picture of all the TV's I've purchased! However, the joy faded quickly. My first problem was with how it worked with my Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max streaming device and Denon - AVR-X3700H receiver. For some reason, upon powering on the TV and receiver, the receiver switches inputs to the Fire TV Stick 4K Max every time regardless of previous settings. The TotalTech Support technician that came to my home to troubleshoot suggested new more expensive cables (of coarse) and that I replace the Fire TV Stick. Even though the cables were new as was the Fire TV stick, I decided to follow his recommendation just in case and to eliminate sources of the problem. I replaced all the HDMI cables and replaced the Fire TV Stick twice with no improvement. Please note I did not have this problem with (2) previous TV's and the same receiver and same Fire TV Stick Max 4K. I even swapped out the Fire TV Stick Max 4K for the older Fire TV 4K and the problem did not go away. Second problem is the google voice/automation/integration. No matter what I do, the TV will intermittently switch to the home screen, pop-up some search results, etc. Very annoying. Apparently you can unenroll devices once enrolled in google home. Third problem is the app. Its sucks. It constantly disconnects from the TV and requires me to reconnect. However when I try 2 of 3 times it can't find the TV. Ugh. The latest issue is with the screen randomly turning gray or some wired iridescent pink color. Not cool. The cherry on top of this disaster sundae is Best Buy's TotalTech Support. I scheduled an appointment with TotalTech but they cancelled without an explanation. When I called to get one, I was told it was cancelled because they would not be able to service my TV since the manufacturer's warranty was still active. I explained that I knew that when I scheduled the appointment and asked what's the point of TotalTech if you guys are not providing the warranty service. I'd naively assumed Best Buy was an authorized service provider for the TV's they sold and could perform warranty and non-warranty service. What made purchasing a plan form Best But attractive was having one place to call or work with when I had a problem and avoid dealing with the manufacturer. Apparently this is not a service or benefit of TotalTech Support. This leaves me wondering what am I getting for the several hundred dollars I am spending for totaltech. Also wondering why I risked purchasing a brand with which I am unfamilar and has not been around as long some others like Samsung, Sony, LG, Toshiba or Panasonic. Never again on both.

First TV we received had what looked like a light leak from the bottom of the frame. Picture was great except for that. Since it was brand new I decided to call, and Geek squad delivered a replacement a week later. Picture is amazing for movies and video games. TV speakers are loud but sound is not great at high volume. Fortunately I have a surround sound system. Which for most people buying a TV like this wouldn't be an issue as they they will also have alternative sound options. I feel the picture is better than the comparably priced competitors. Have to go to 500 to 600 higher with others to get close to the same picture quality.

So the TV isn't a bad TV overall but The bugs it has are pretty noticeable . I want to give the positives first. Great minimal input lag for gaming, a lot of modes for whatever kind of media you intend to watch. The colors are very good. ( Not quite OLED level. But very impressive for a LCD panel) . Now the Negative, When it comes to night time scenes/ Space or anything super dark. The back lights to the TV screen are really noticeable during watching this kind of content . I couldn't overlook this horrible blooming effect when trying to watch content that relied on the darkness of the scenes. Also, Blooming during these scenes were more distracting the what I was watching or playing. I tried getting through it for a couple of days and just couldn't bite my tongue through it anymore. If you don't care about the TV Black Levels/ Darker Colors/ Blooming then get this TV. Its very good if youre not picky. If you do care about all your color levels and want perfect colors no matter what scene youre trying to watch/ play. Then Don't get this tv. There are better LCD panels on the market that do a much better job then this .

This TV is great, especially for the price! I did a lot of research before purchase and am definitely happy I went for this Hisense. An amazing TV for a fraction of the cost of one of the “big 3”. Hisense is definitely an underdog and, in my opinion, competes very well with Samsung, Sony, and LG.

For the value that this TV is, it's amazing! With the most to date HDMI ports that support Dolby Audio and to have Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced on this TV, it's incredible. Definitely go with the 75 inch and buy a 4k bluray that was filmed in IMAX. You won't regret it!

Good TV - But Misleading Panel Tech

Pros: Nice TV for vibrant and colorful scenes, fairly good motion handling, latest tech (HDMI 2.1), and good tech for video games (Freesync). Cons: Contrast is washed out. Local dimming isn’t granular enough and regularly causes blooming. My primary reason for selecting this TV was due to the reviews discussing the excellent contrast ratio that was just a step below OLED’s inky blacks. Since I planned to put the TV into a very bright & sunny room, I decided to go for the 75” U7G instead of an OLED (and to save some $$) Upon using it, I was surprised to see a washed out image in dark scenes. I realized a bit late that the 75” is an IPS panel and not VA. So I get better viewing angles but worse contrast. Bummer as I worked hard to unbox the TV and mount it by myself - I’ll have to live with it.
