Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well, have it connected to Onkyo surround sound and Xbox series x and all works well together. Only issue was with best buy in general not honoring the cash back reward I had used.

Very Impressed!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Hisense 75" Class U8 Series Mini-LED QLED UHD 4K is a very impressive television. Easily the best television I've every owned. To begin, the television seems to be well made. It is heavy (just under 100 pounds), but keeping in mind that it is a 75" television the weight isn't that bad. Plus, with the size being what it is the weight is well distributed so two people can easily lift it. The stand is very heavy-duty and I don't have any fears of it tipping. I also like that the stand is center mounted. Much easier to find a stand for it. The menu system is much improved over older Hisense models that I've had. And the responsiveness of the commands is good. There is no shortage of built in options with Google TV being built in. We have been using the built in Netflix and the quality is outstanding. The remote control is very nice and I like that it has a built in backlight that turns on when you pick up the remote. My one complaint with the remote is that it doesn't have direct numbers. You can hit a button that will bring numbers up on the screen, but it's just not the same as direct numbers on the remote. The sound quality is great. Much more impressive than I could have ever expected. And plenty loud. The sound is actually so good I don't feel a need to hook my sound bar back up to it. Although the sound is great right out of the box, there are still a to of customization options. Now for what's most important, the picture. This is the first Mini-LED I've used and it is amazing. The color is bold without being overblown. The brightness brilliant and very even. I haven't detected any hot spots or uneven patches. No vignetting either. Just a perfectly balanced picture with great color accuracy. The contrast is excellent and the screen has beautiful deep blacks. this really makes a difference. The resolution is so stunning that high definition sources feel as if they will leap out of the screen. truly lifelike. Older analog sources are up-scaled very well. Mini-LED is a major leap from older LCD or plasma screens by a long shot. Overall this is an outstanding television that when you combine the amazing picture, incredible sound and of course, the massive 75" size, is like having a movie theater in your house.

I've had many TVs in this size...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying this is a NICE TV, so just know that going into it if you decide to buy it. The size. WOW, it's only a 75 inch TV, but it is THICK and HEAVY. I'm a big guy, so I'm able to lift it up to where I want it. BUT, this is a two person job. So please be careful when trying to lift this TV. I was surprised at how thick this TV is, in comparison to other 75 and even 85 inch TVs that I have. My other Hisense TV is super thin, and it's not a new model. But since this TV has a subwoofer and better sound, this might a reason why. PLEASE take note of this. Now setup. The base of this TV is a two piece, and it weighs about 15 to 20lbs alone believe it for not. So again, take your time and get help it you need it. Picture quality. Simple amazing, those two words say it best for me when I'm using it. Colors are spot on, and blacks are DEEP. I love the way this looks, and it really fills the room. I went from a 65 inch, to this 75 inch and I could not be happier. It appears to be really big, because it's not in a living area. Which is what I like. Sound quality. WOW, for TV it sounds like a concert. You can adjust the EQ like on other TVs, but this TV has built-in subwoofer system. It sound AMAZING! Software. It's a Google TV, so we all know how that is going to be for usage if you have used one before. This one however, is fairly speedy when navigating the system and should hold up well over the years to come. It did get a software update right out of the box. Build quality. I give this the same type of rating as any other TV, mostly hard plastic, but very strong. Price is a little high, but you can already catch it on sale even though it's a new release. Overall, I LOVE this TV. It's a huge upgrade over my previous TV.

Its ok
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from an LG OLED C1 77. It has exessive blooming, its really distracting. It promotes anti-glare but i can see the reflections cristal clear. Google tv UI is reslly cool and smooth compared to LG’s UI. Its an ok tv, way better than normal backlit LED.

Great TV after adjustments
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming out of the box, the default setting are extremely bright. There is way too much color. Luckily adjustments are very easy to make in the settings menu. This runs as a Google TV like any ChromeCast with TV device would. Now you may ask why I am so focused on the out of the box settings. Every new app installed, used, reinstalled will default to the factory settings even if you use the setting to use across all devices. It is only slightly annoying, but enough that it is worth mentioning and to take away a star. Sound is extremely good even without a sound bar. There appear to be speakers on the side that allow the sound to travel from the front of the device, not just bounce off a wall behind it. The remote is top notch. If you have used a ChromeCast with TV remote or any other Google TV device, the remote it a higher quality version of those remotes. In addition to the volume on the front, there is also a channel button that works with over the air broadcast stations, Youtube TV and some other better designed streaming apps. Attaching the base was very easy, me and my son were able to get the TV assembled in about 20 minutes, most of which was unpacking. The Google TV setup was like any other Google TV setup, partially done from your phone. Newest versions of the software don't require the phone, but out of the box the version requires the Google Home app on your phone. Still very painless to install. After getting the TV set up, go into settings under system and check for an update. If you ever have to do a reset, the new code should not require you phone and the Home app to configure the TV again. Everything else is just following on screen prompts. There are quite a few AI options in the settings to manage sound, color, etc. Some work really well. Others were not to my liking. There is enough to play with, that you can find a setting you will like. One thing I notices with some of the video smoothing AI setting, they can cause a ghost to fast moving images like a sporting event. I had to turn that off, it became a distraction. It appears you can hook up some USB webcams and make audio/video calls from the TV. I have not tried that yet. Overall, this is an excellent TV with a great picture and sound. You have plenty of ports to connect to with HDMI, optical audio, USB, USBB type C, etc. Bluetooth also allows you to connect headsets, mice, keyboards, etc. to the TV. It really is a great TV, just wish the settings would be universal and not have to be reconfigured with every app.

My Hisense 75U8QG Review - Better than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to the Hisense 75U8QG from a 65A that I’ve had for a few years. I was initially skeptical about spending the extra money, but after using it for a few weeks, I can confidently say it was worth the investment. The picture quality is a noticeable step up—brighter, sharper, and with better contrast. It really brings out the detail, especially in HDR content / gaming. One pleasant surprise was the onboard sound. I usually expect built-in TV speakers to be just passable, but this one actually delivers clear dialogue and decent depth without needing a soundbar right away. Overall, if you're on the fence like I was, this TV makes a strong case for itself. Solid upgrade, now to mount it on my wall.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought off amazon, because they delivered it to me on day 1 of the release. Love it. We own several hisense TV and the U8Q 75 inch is amazing. Very smooth interface. Lots of options to play around with for the picture and sound. No complaints. It's thick, but i like them that way.
