||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Green dead pixels on display and tv is very laggy when navigating the software. Tv freezes on black screen regularly when turning it on causing me to have to unplug it to turn it off and reset it. Dont recomend this model to anyone. Just bought earlier this year and these issues arise after the return period is up.

Big, Bright, and full of latest TV/Audio tech
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This years U8H looks a lot like last years H8G but don't be fooled by its looks. This years new model packs some hardware and software upgrades over last years. I wont go over every spec but some things to call out here. This years is mini LED backlit. It has a "nextgen" tuner in it for over the air broadcasts. It also supports wifi 6 and 6e and it comes with Google TV. This is also the first time Hisense is offering the U8 series in a 75" model. With that said this review is based on the 75" model. First things to do once you get though initial setup: Check for firmware updates and install Disable the room light sensor Take tv out of power saving picture mode and change to something else If you have external gaming system or blueray player that can do 4k 120 change the hdmi port to enhanced Uninstall any of the pre-loaded apps you don't use Display The TV has full array mini LED backlit 4k LCD panel and WOW is it good. No light bleed, near perfect uniformity, and no banding. I just can't believe it. I keep looking for flaws but I cant find any. This TV has the best LCD panel I've ever owned, period. It has Quantum Dot so colors on this TV are vibrant and look beautiful. The blacks are extremely dark and the whites are bright. Black bars while watching movies at top/bottom just disappear into the background at night. But yet this TV gets so bright I believe we have reached a peak where its just too bright. I had to turn the backlight down from 100% to 80% to help with that. You may need to adjust the brightness for a darker room or night viewing as I did. With that said this is both a great TV for dark and bright rooms. Oh and it supports every HDR profile out there. Sound Audio from the TV is better than most. If you don't have a external sound system you can get by with just the built in three speakers in the TV. The third speaker being a subwoofer built into the back. Adding a soundbar will much improve it though. If you have a external audio receiver or soundbar you will need to go into sound settings and change the sound output from Auto to Passthough. I noticed Auto just wasn't working correctly and I had major audio sync issues until I changed this. The TV natively supports a handful of audio formats as well including the latest Dolby Atmos! Remote I wanted to make a mention of the remote. Although it looks a lot like last years they did move a few buttons around. Another thing they changed is the remote is now backlit but it is not very bright and it only stays lit for a second. Its so fast you might not even notice. Smart TV OS The TV comes with Google TV. Google TV is basically Android TV with some added personal features on the home page. I really like it and for me having Google TV built in is a big pro. I prefer it over some of the others out there. The UI on this TV is impressively smooth and apps load quickly. I see no need to get an external streaming box or stick with how this TV performs. It does come with some pre-installed apps but you can remove most of them if needed. A few things I have ran into It has a hardware switch at the bottom to enable/disable the mic for google assistant. But if you turn it off four bright LEDs come on and they do not go away unless you re-enable the mic. Its way to aggressive and distracting which basically forces you to turn the mic back on. I cant find any way to turn this off. My external sound system takes about 2 to 3 seconds for audio to start playing after the picture comes in. Not a huge deal but kind of hope they fix this with a firmware update. I noticed with some lower quality source material the picture is not as clean. I can see noticeable artifacts around peoples faces and lettering and logos on screen. Nothing I change in picture settings makes any improvement to this. If your source material is high quality or 4k then its a non issue. I keep finding myself comparing this TV to high end TVs that cost a lot more. The amount of tech and features you get with this Hisense U8H is quite amazing. You would have to pay double to get this with other companies. With that said, this is a fantastic deal. I keep asking myself, whats the catch? Well folks there is no catch. This is just a great TV with a very reasonable price tag. Get one while you can because I have a feeling these are going to sell quick.

Stunning picture quality at an affordable price
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lately smaller TV brands have been coming up and competing with the top TV brands. I believe that Hisense is a part of this. This is my second Hisense TV. I have had my other one for a few years and it gets the most use out of any TV in my house. Every time I get a new TV after a while, I just feel like I want something bigger. I always thought my 65 in TV was massive but let me tell you this 75 in TV is truly massive. Just make sure that you have at least two people to set it up and this TV will not fit into a small space. The great part of it is that you can hang it on the wall otherwise you would need a wide TV stand. The first thing I would like to talk about is the picture quality. Hisense is using different technology in this than some other TV brands. The display is a ULED display which is comprise of mini LEDs. Rather than using an OLED display for example. What this means in real life is that you have very vibrant colors and deep blacks. The picture quality is absolutely stunning. Compared to my older TVs the picture quality is so much better and things on the screen almost look like you are there in real life. I am big into console gaming, the PS5 to be specific and I like to play on a big TV screen. The technology in this TV makes gaming that much better. From the HDR capabilities to the fast 120ghz refresh rate gaming on this big screen is a dream. Although a lot of times I use a headset and sometimes a soundbar, the built in TV speakers are not bad at all. They are definitely usable. Since this TV is a google TV it has all the great smart features including google assistant. You can also download all your favorite apps and no need to have an additional smart TV box plugged in. Possibly one of my favorite features is that it has Alexa features built in. The ability to turn on and off the TV with Alexa means that I do not have to worry about where I placed the TV remote. If you are in the market for a new TV and would like one with great picture quality, and all of the latest features but you do not want to pay the price of some of the biggest TV brands I would highly recommend checking out Hisense. They have continued to develop and expand the features of their TVs and I believe they are one of the best especially for the price.

Big, fast, great contrast and SUPER Bright!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my new favorite TV! The Hisense U8H 75” really has everything the average consumer could ever want from a new television. It’s big, displays vibrant colors with bold contrast and is literally the brightest TV I’ve ever owned. Best of all, it’s priced much lower than I would expect for a TV of this caliber. It’s almost as if they priced it this low, daring consumers to give it a try, because they are confident you will love it and become a Hisense fan going forward. Well, that’s good marketing, because it’s working for me as I’m now curious to try other Hisense products. The U8H 75” was delivered using a contracted delivery person through Pegasus Logistics. The driver called me when he was in my neighborhood and I met him in the driveway so that he could drop the TV off into my garage, since I was the only person home at the time. The box is large and heavy, weighing approximately 118 pounds. It was shrink-wrapped and secured to a wooden pallet, which the driver left with me to dispose of or reuse. The Hisense U8H 75” is very well packaged with foam all around it and a thick heavy cardboard cover over the screen. The box I received was dented on the outside corner, but the packaging worked well to protect the TV and it was undamaged. Unboxing the TV is easy but does require two people to lift it out from the foam inserts and attach the base stands and/or the wall mount. Keep in mind that the TV does weigh approximately 82 pounds as your stand will need to support this weight. If you are using a wall mount make sure it’s rated to support that weight and VESA 600mm x 400mm with M8 mounting screws. The TV does not include the mounting screws and I only had the M6 size, from my previously mounted TV, so I had to buy some screws at the local department store. I actually found a TV mounting hardware kit that had the M8 mounting screws along with spacers and anything else you need, for only $5! Once I had the TV mounted and all of my external devices connected, I was ready to get it set up and start watching content! Setting it up did take a little longer than I expected, selecting preferences, connecting WIFI and Google accounts, downloading apps, etc., but that’s a one-time task, and something that really helps to give your TV a personalized touch. In-fact , I learned that this TV can support multiple user log-in’s, using Google accounts. So different household members can have the home screen and settings customized for each of their accounts. I really like the home screen setup and navigation on this TV. It’s very intuitive and as I said before, feels very customized based on my apps, content, and usage. I love that it learns what content I enjoy and scans my apps for related content then presents viewing options to me in an organized layout that I can browse when I am looking for something new to watch. It’s much easier than going into each app and looking for content, I really like it! One thing to note is that you do not have to opt into this personalization and/or Google account. You can set this up as a basic TV if you are concerned about protecting your personal data. The display on this TV is amazing! The color and contrast, with the new Quantum ULED technology on a 75” VA panel combined with how incredibly bright it can get, really works well giving viewers an eye opening beautiful IMAX like experience when watching movies. This TV has the best picture I’ve ever had on a TV, to date. Getting the picture set up fine-tuned to where I like it, for each source, does take some time to become familiar with all of the features, what they do, and how it looks, but again, it’s time well spent. Once you set up a source, the television remembers that set up, for the most part, depending on the content being shown from that source. I have noticed if it’s Dolby Vision, my picture options will change and I can only select from the Dolby options, it no longer offers options such as Filmmaker Mode, Standard, Vivid, etc. The Dolby for the most part looks great, but there have been times where I wanted to tweak the settings because it looks a little washed out and/or dark/bright. However when Dolby content is being displayed all of the other picture options are locked for some reason. Gaming on this television is immersive and looks great! The 4k HDR 120Hz really gives you an amazing gaming experience with really fast response time, beautiful color, and sharp detail. The size and Dolby Sound bring it all together to make this a huge gaming theater experience. Overall I really love this TV. I’m so impressed with Hisense for producing a high-end television at a bargain price when it’s on sale. If you are looking for a new TV, and are tired of TV’s that don’t get bright enough, don’t have enough contrast and don’t game fast enough, without costing an arm and a leg, look no further than the Hisense U8H 75”, you will not be disappointed at all.

WOW!!! Picture quality is 2nd to none
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: WOW! I’m personally super impressed with what Hisense has done with this TV, especially for the price. The picture quality is 2nd to none. Initial setup It’s super simple and quick. Simply open your Google Home app and add a new Google device. Scan the QR code on TV and follow instructions (you can always do the setup manually on the tv if you don’t use Google Home.) In total it takes about 5-10 minutes before you’re up and running. Google TV The first thing I noticed once the setup was complete was the responsiveness of the UI. Moving between icons and menus was super snappy. I personally like the setup and layout of Google TV. Part of it is the simplicity of adding apps you use and removing apps you don’t. Everything you use or want is there on the “front page”. I have another 75” TV of another brand (big name) that also runs Google TV, but it’s not quite as responsive as it is on this TV. Picture Quality As I mentioned, I have another 75” TV from a manufacturer known for making high quality TV’s. I bought it because I wanted a really nice picture with HDR. I wish I had gotten this Hisense U8H first. While it’s not a night and day difference, the image on this TV is just brighter, clearer, and the colors are more accurate. I usually spend a lot of time adjusting the picture settings to get the picture just right, which to me is nice and bright, with vivid colors and deep blacks. And this is where this TV really shines. I have it between 2 windows with a full glass french door on the adjacent wall and a room across from it with a 3’x9’ window (although that window is about 50’ away), but the point is, there’s a lot of natural light entering and the TV is extremely bright. I do have the backlight turned all the way up, but that’s how I like it, and with it set that way, you could probably still watch this TV just fine if it were outdoors (don’t recommend that, just saying). The colors are super vivid, even in the “Standard” setting, but what’s really impressive, is that the blacks are super deep black as well. When the image gets brighter, blacks tend to turn to shades of gray, but not on this TV. The combination of mini LED backlighting and over 300 local dimming zones allows this TV to achieve OLED-type picture quality at a fraction of the cost and without the drawbacks of OLED’s. Sound It’s a flatscreen TV afterall, so set your expectations accordingly, but the sound actually isn’t all that bad. After tweaking a few settings, I’m able to watch movies where the gunshots, explosions, etc. aren’t overpowering, but can still hear the dialogue as well. It does support Dolby Atmos, which I have turned on, and while it’s not going to give you that “flying over your head” type of sound output, my wife did ask me the other day if I was using a speaker with it because it sounded like the sound was coming from a different room. So it gets plenty loud. I’ve only had the volume up to 25 at the most, and it goes up to 100… Probably not going to test the limits on that though.

OLED levels.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After watching all the videos I could find on you tube and all reviews I could get my hands on online, I decided to purchase this TV. Man, I have to say it is worth it. I have not really noticed any issues when playing Xbox series x on 120hz. Runs so smooth. Movies play beautiful. If you are looking for a top of the line tv but don't have 3 to 4k, get this one. You will not regret it. There is no blooming and blacks are very inky. Just do it.

Best TV for the Price, period.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't think there's a better tv on the market for this price. The HDR, brightness, viewing angles, everything is spot on. My only negligible complaint is that the TV's software is sometimes slightly laggy, and the voice options seem to activate too easily. I had to turn off the voice controls because they kept engaging when we weren't trying to say anything.

Its just stunning that ppl dont take this TV seriously. UPON open box. Its VERY bright(BACK light 100 level), NEED to turn down back light to like 28-40ish first , then go back to front page”Brightness setting” to set “how bright do u want yr dark Colors to appear” . Also do not make “sharpness” increase. It can often Pixolate image. When tV already butter smooth, it makes is less comforting. So keep sharpness to d way it is.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is amazing. Very bright. It works great on newer content.
