I am so happy we purchased this TV. We have needed a new one for quite some time, but there are so many options out there we could not decide. This TV is very easy to set up and use. It took less that 15 minutes. The picture is so clear and amazing. Looks so high end. The sound is also great. The TV has a lot of different picture options like filmmaker or Dolby. Endless possibilities! My husband loved watching basketball last night. I am so so happy and can’t wait to watch a bunch of movies! There is also a microphone option on the remote where you can ask the TV for recommendations which is so cool. I can’t wait to discover new shows and movies! 10/10!!

TV Was very bright and had a good picture. It was very easy to navigate using the remote and was very responsive. The TV Lacked the contrast I was looking for and it was just average blah when i got it hooked up and hung on the wall. I like to watch baseball and the refresh rate was great, but the picture (unless 4K ) was just OK. The store version has the 4K demo modes on at the best resolution, but when you are watching regular TV at home, such as You Tube TV it really doesn't give you the wow factor like you see it in the store. I purchased the 85" and it was a step up from my 75" Samsung so that was nice. One thing i could not figure out was how to get my Apple TV, Soundbar and TV to all play the same sound at the same time. One or the other had a delay and was causing it to echo. I tried all the settings, read all the reviews, and just could not figure it out. The TV had great sound so i wanted to hear the TV sound along with my LG Sound Bar. However, I had to choose one or the other in order to hear what was on. Overall decent TV for the price and Size. I ended up returning it and getting a Samsung S90D OLED.

Go Big or go-home

I had bought my current TV nearly 8 years ago and was the big boy in town at 65". The current crop of TVs makes these panels look tiny in comparison and this TV is no exception. The quality and technology has come a long way as well and this TV is so much clearer and brighter too. I love the picture quality and how vivid the screen is. I use a home theater setup so have no head a chance to use Audio but there has been no issues using this with my HDMI-Arc compatible receiver and integrates seamlessly with it. The picture is sharp and bright, the colors are vivid and the installation process if easy with great instructions right out of the box. Google TV functionality makes it super easy to consume content right out of the box and I did not have to re-signin into all my accounts either.
Overall a great buy.

Best Bang for your Buck!

The Hisense U7 is the best "bang for your buck" smart TV especially in the larger sizes. If your goal was to purchase the largest TV possible for the lowest price without sacrificing too much, this one fits the bill! While the U7 is considered Hisense's mid-range TV, the U8 of equivalent size is a significant enough increase in price that it becomes a questionable upgrade. When you compare the features of the two series, the upgrade may not be "worth it" when you consider that both panels are Mini LED. The U7 sits in a perfect spot in the Hisense lineup that offers the most features and quality per dollar.
While I purchased the 85" U7, Hisense makes a 100" and 116" version as well! I really wanted the 100", however, after measuring, it wouldn't fit my wall! Who would have thought that we live in a world where a TV you could purchase at a box store would exceed the dimensions of a wall! Assembling the TV is pretty straightforward, however, because of its sheer size, you will, at minimum, require a second person to help maneuver it. Once the TV is powered on, you must go through a Google TV setup where you connect to the internet and login with your Google account. After that, you're ready to enjoy! I wouldn't say picture quality is the best I've seen, however, at this price point, you're not getting anything better. I appreciate what Hisense has done with the U7 and at this combination of price, features, and size, it just simply cannot be beat! Just in time for the holidays!

This TV definitely delivers bright, vibrant colors, sharp detail, and smooth motion that makes movies and sports look clean and natural. The interface is easy to navigate, apps open quickly, and the remote keeps things simple without unnecessary buttons. Sound quality is clear with more depth than expected, making viewing enjoyable even without extra speakers. It offers strong picture performance, quick navigation, and reliable sound, making it a great addition to my home setup!!!

This TV is phenomenal. Upgraded from a Hisense U6G from 2021 and the picture quality is night and day. The brightness, the contrast, the local dimming, everything is superb about this tv. Just for an fyi, I do have the 85 inch variant. Out of the box you want to switch the picture mode to theater day/night to get the best of the tv without professionally calibrating it. While it may not be an OLED, it comes really close to TV's twice and even 3 times it's price. You get a lot for the money. A big step up from the U6 of 2025 and while not as bright as it's bigger brother, the U8QG, it's 95% of the TV

Absolutely love this TV. The picture is blisteringly bright, colors are rich, and contrast is impressive for the money—exactly what you want from a giant 85‑inch screen. HDR highlights really pop in daylight or bright rooms, yet blacks still look deep enough for movie nights. The Google TV interface is smooth and easy to live with, and apps launch quickly—no lag or weird slowdowns. For watching sports, blockbusters, or gaming, it feels genuinely premium.

This TV delivers sharp visuals and good brightness levels, making it ideal for movies and sports. The smart features support all major streaming apps, and connectivity options are sufficient. However, the speakers could be louder. Overall, a reliable TV with minor drawbacks.

The Hisense U7 is a great, affordable 85" television for anyone looking for a TV this size that can still deliver very good picture quality for everyday watching, movies and still has features needed for gamers to get the best video quality out of their PS5, Xbox Serires X or Switch 2. I wanted to spend around $1,200-$1,500. If you are a picture quality snob and you can afford to spend more then definitely go with an OLED. I already have a 77" LG C3 which does have a better picture, but I didn't want to spend more a second tv that was the 8" smaller and cost about $800 more for this other room in the house. Here are a couple things that I don't like, or at least have not figure out yet. There does not seem to be a "Zoom" or "Picture Size" option for when you are watching olders shows that are in 4:3 format. Another thing is that the built-in TV tuner does not seem to pickup that many channels. I can only get 13 channels and can not get NBC with auto or manual scan. The old LG that this is replacing using the exact same antenna sitting in the exact same spot was able to pickup 35 channels. It has been about two months since my purchase and so far so good. This is definitely a good tv for someone that wants to go for the 85" size with all the features movie watcher and gamers should be pretty happy with. If you can afford to spend twice as much and really want the best picture quality then maybe go with the LG or Sony OLEDs.

I was excited to try this tv and upgrade the viewing area in my basement. I was blown away with the picture. The images on the screen are clear and you can see every detail. I have watched movies, tv and sports and the colors are bright and vivid with the picture being crystal clear. I enjoy the Doby Atoms sound. I was completely blown away with how loud it gets. I have even stopped using my external speakers. I also like that it has Google TV and all the apps already installed. No more streaming sticks and everything is easy to use. Overall I am really impressed by this TV and really glad that I got it. It has added enhancements to my tv viewing that I thought was only available in at the movies.

Overall, very happy with the purchase. It's super bright. I'm knocking it down 1 star because I live in Arizona and the screen gives off a lot of heat. Also, I've noticed an uptick in energy consumption. It's a trade off. Can't beat the price, I got it for $1299, and a comparable OLED would probably be twice as much. It is also one of the cheapest TVs with a Nextgen tuner.

Amazing picture. We have been searching for an 85 inch tv for 2 years. Could not resist with the Black Friday price. The picture quality and anti glare are amazing, just like a theater in our living room. Perfect for movies and sports viewing. Easy to setup and use.

I had a Samsung 60 inch TV which was outdated before I purchased a Hisense 85 inch based on positive reviews from my friends. Set up was easy. The picture quality is really good and as well as the sound. I did get an extended warranty since I am not sure if I'll have issues down the road, but I am happy with my purchase so far.

This TV brings an incredible viewing experience to our living room. The colors are vivid, blacks are deep, and HDR really makes movies, shows, and games pop. Google TV is easy to use and everything runs smoothly, from streaming to gaming. The size makes family movie nights feel like a theater, and we love gathering around it. The built-in sound is good, and paired with a soundbar it’s perfect. It’s definitely upgraded our home entertainment and made watching together so much more fun.

We have been using Sony TVs many years and wanted to replace one of our 75" Sony TVs with an 85". After looking through a lot of reviews, decided to try the Hisense U7 2025 85". At about half the cost of the Sony Bravia 9, we could not be more pleased. If you are a user of Sony TVs, you should find the Hisense an equal or better TV at a much better price. Sound is great without the addition of a soundbar which our Sony TVs have always needed. That saves you $500 - &1000 easily.

I purchased this TV because it has 60W of sound, and it did not disappoint. Granted, it isn't surround sound, but it is enough for my satisfaction. Also has great picture quality.
