Great game, I highly recommend this masterpiece! The style and vibe are perfect, gameplay is challenging but not frustrating, and this game is not nearly the price of most Switch games. Pick this up if you get a chance!

This is was a surprise gift for my 12-year-old son who got a Switch in 2018. He did not know to ask for this game, but I did a search and it came up on all the top-ten Switch game lists. He would agree that it deserves the praise. The art style is "AMAZING," the level designs are outstanding, and battles are challenging and fun. This will not get old too quickly. Only downside is that it is not multiplayer, but it still deserves five stars.

Already owned this game on steam but decided to pick up the physical version for my switch. Game is great if you like metroidvanias.

A must have title on any platfrom. But it looks more amazing on switch given the game's platform based gameplay. The difficulty though is similar to bloodborne. Also the fact that there are no specific instructions. Even the map provided with the physical game copy, is not really that useful are readable at glance. But otherwise, this game is a classic. Eagerly waiting for the next installment of this series.

This game is a great game if you like to explore. The art work is unique and has a darker vibe to it. I would recommend checking this game out!

This game is yet another indie-developed, 2D Metroidvania, action platformer that borrows a lot of positive elements from other well established titles, but still manages to establish its own identity and offers a worthwhile experience. It borrows the level design, exploration and ability progression philosophies of the Metroid series, and combines them with the combat and risk v. reward systems of Dark Souls. The game is presented in a unique, hand drawn art style that perfectly captures the dark and mysterious nature of the world and all the characters that inhabit it. The narrative is equally mysterious and intriguing, providing a compelling and natural incentive to drive the player towards exploring the world and unlock the many secrets it has to offer. The physical edition comes with a fully printed manual, which feels like a nice throwback to classic releases from the SNES era of gaming. If collecting physical games is important to you then this is worth picking up, but if you don't mind digital and would prefer to save, then the digital version can be purchased for less than half the cost.

Best physical edition, get all dlc and the map look so cool

Great art style, music and lore. Just a great game all around. Highly recommended to anyone who digs Metroidvania's and is looking for a challenge.

Hollow Knight is a Metroidvania with a well of content to discover that’s as deep as its labyrinthine caves. The world of Hallownest is compelling and rich, full of story that’s left for you to discover on your own, and built with branching paths that offer an absurd amount of choice in how you go about discovering it. With such a high density of secrets to find and fun, challenging enemies to face, it’s worth spending every moment you can in Hollow Knight.

I have been wanting this game, finally went on sale. Love it. There is a degree of difficulty though if u love challenges. The game is fun, you can avoid some enemies so you can finish the game. It was a great purchase. A great addition to my growing nintendo switch collection of games.
