Fell apart within the first week of having it and they wanted me to pack it up even though i didnt have box anymore would have cost a fortune so i threw it away and lost my money poor customer service

Missing the pole so had to be returned, but looked quite flimsy, the fan enclosure is all plastic, and not metal, and the base is much lighter than expected.

I am very disappointed with this fan. I exchanged it once and now the the other one doesnt work either

This is a powerful fan. I tend to run a little warm when I sleep and my wife is always cold so I had been eyeing a nice fan to use while I slept. I came across this one and thought this would be a perfect fit in our room. Let me just say that this fan pushes far more air than I had expected. I tend to just keep it at the lowest setting. Setup was pretty straightforward. Just make sure to use the included maunal to make sure you are connecting all the pieces correctly. It took me maybe 5 minutes to get it all setup by myself. I set this up in a corner of my bedroom and angled it towards my side of the bed, it's also near a little couch that we keep in there. Once I had the fan setup I tried the different speed settings and was pretty surprised that the low setting was so fast. I went through the rest of the settings, but ended up just keeping it at low. I thought I would just use it at night to help me sleep, but I ended up using it far more. We have a smart thermostat that keeps the AC off most of the day while we are out, but kicks back on when we get home. I have found myself working/relaxing on the couch near the fan to help me cool down while the temp in the house goes back to normal. This is a great little fan, nothing fancy, nice and simple. It was easy to setup and definitely pushes enough air around a medium size room. If I take it off the slowest setting it can start blowing the curtains and blinds on our windows around.

The Holmes 16" Big Breeze Stand fan was packaged very well and it was easy to set up. It felt a little cheap, actually a lot cheap, given that most of the blade and frame are plastic and everything else as well. It snapped together well enough. It all came together in about ten minutes. I took care not to break the tabs on the fan cage. Once those are broken, it's no longer safe. Plugged it in and turned it on. It was initially noisy, however, I had the stand on the cord so it made it slightly off balance. Once that was resolved, it was very quiet. This fan pushes a lot of air around even on the low setting. Make sure you don't have any loose papers just laying around if you go to medium or high and if you have the oscillator on. Did I mention that it felt cheap? Hard to get past that feeling for the price point. I worry that it may fall apart or settings break like the tilt, or the fan cage or the buttons will stop working. It just doesn't feel like it will last. If they made it to feel a bit more sturdy, I would have scored it higher.

I was pleasantly pleased with this Holmes 16" Big Breeze Stand Fan. My previous experiences with these types of fan, and this brand, has been hit or miss. But this particular model, is pretty good. First off, the fan is easy to put together as long as you follow the simple, detailed Instruction Manual. Do follow the instructions as it is important to position the blade facing the correct way, and to make sure everything "locks" into place to be properly assembled. Remember to never 'force' a part to fit. The thick plastic front and back grills are more 'heavy-duty' than I'd expected. Overall this Holmes stand fan is unexpectedly "sturdy" compared to other Holmes fans I've had. The round disk base is large which is good, and should provide the stand fan with a sure solid placement on the floor's surface. You manually adjust the height on the extension pole where the fan speed controls are also located. Simple and easy. And as far as the fan speeds go ... the high fan setting actually felt 'high' rather than just mildly faster, which has been my experience with other types of stand fans similar to this one. Another good thing about this fan is that it runs really quiet. So, all around, I'm finding this Holmes 16" Big Breeze Stand Fan to be pretty great.

I was happy that my fan was delivered at a prominent moment when the weather had gotten hotter. The holmes 16" stand fan's installation is fairly easy and took about 10 mins. It does not come with any complicated parts to put together and you don't have worry about using your tool to install the parts. Once I was done with the installation process I put the fan to the test in my two warmer rooms which are the living room and kitchen. Con: The head of the fan is not as easily tilting as with other fans is something I've noticed while using it. Pros: It rotates very smoothly and it's quite sturdy. It has some weight to it which is something to keep it mind if you are moving it from room to room. The holmes fan's 5 blades really does provide pretty good air flow. Not exactly sure of the dimensions of my living room but it's quite large. Moreover, this fan really does deliver cooling relief for both my livingroom and my kitchen as well. That is to say when I move the fan from one room to the next. It does not cool both areas at once just to clarify. In conclusion, this is a fairly decent fan to buy for the price; if you are looking to have some relief from the heat at home for one area of your home. I have decided to keep my holmes fan in my kitchen so that it can provide some relief from the summer heat and I can cook comfortably and so that my family can eat comfortably in that area.

the fan is pretty good and makes my room much cooler when i need it to be, but the only things wrong are how it doesn’t raise high enough and that the fan sits at an angle when it’s at it highest tilt. overall a good purchase.

Ordered and it came missing the chrome middle rod that goes between the fan motor and base. Beyond disappointing. Utterly useless. Returning.

DO NOT ORDER!!! I have ordered TWICE now. Both orders came in with the same piece missing. It’s the labeled the “L” metal piece that connects the bottom half to the fan motor. I have to take it back and return it for the 2nd time. Whoever ever packaged the boxes recently did not include all the pieces.
