I purchased this for my mom and she loves it. Sets alarms, plays music, asks about weather, etc. Were gonna get her set up with Hue lights soon.

I got this for a gift. My family loves it. We had music for dinner. My sister likes the timer when cooking. My nephew in college he will ask questions when studing. He also hooked it to his you tube account, as the music was just a short period. They really enjoy it and have used in more ways than i thought. he has the grocery list to his phone. It has been fun and practical.

I was almost ready to buy an Amazon dot, but the reviews on the Google Home made me go with it and I'm glad I did. Although the dot may have more apps (at the present time), I don't need most of them. Google Home is very smart and usually understands exactly what I want to do. I've got the Hue light system and some smart hubs and love controlling things with my voice.

Google Home is newer than Alexa and has less functionality to start. I expect it will improve quickly, though. Google has a much broader knowledge base to draw from than Amazon. I like that you can switch base covers to change its appearance. Set-up was easy. Open the Home app on your phone or tablet and follow along. Easy! I'll be adding a couple more to our home in the future.

Easy set up. Great integration with Google serviices. Has bluetooth for synching with other devices. Provides decent quality audio. Fun to use.

This device gives great sound quality. Small and compact

Capabilities continue to increase. Love the ability to sync to speakers across my entire house with receivers, smart speakers and chromecasts.

Google Home is has been a welcome upgrade from the bulky 90s bookshelf system (with nonfunctioning CD) I had collecting dust in my bedroom... the sound is good and I like how it links to Google Play Music... plus, its a new alarm clock! I have barely scratched the surface of its capabilities, but it inspired me to buy 2 Home Minis for my Samsung and Vizio TVs

Love the voice activation and response. I use this for weather, calendar items, reminders, music, controlling Netflix with my voice, etc. I attached a Smartthings hub and now have lights and a heater automated through voice activation. Very cool. Occasionally, the speaker does not hear me but it will pick up someone speaking on TV (go figure). Not enough to cause any issues.

I absolutely love my Google Home. I took a chance and pre-ordered the device before it was even released, and I'm so happy I did. The quality of the microphone and speaker are amazing, and I love casting music to Home from my phone or laptop, and creating a speaker group with my soundbar. It's also a ton of fun to play audio games on or listen to podcasts with. Highly recommend!

I've been a user of Alexa for many years. I'm a true google fanboy at heart, but having the firestick as my main video source i couldn't justify switching just yet. that all changed when this went on sale. Now, alexa is gone and Google is in. I haven't been more happy with the setup. Easy transition.

the speaker responds good but the app sucks it takes for ever to get anything set up to work with the speaker.

We purchased the google home for Christmas and everyone loves it. We play trivia and listen to music with the kids almost every night. I love the fact it will play soothing music through out the night for the kids to stay asleep with. It even helps our first grader with her spelling and math homework. She checks her work with google by herself when shes done.

Google Home is a great concept that works well for some things but is still fairly limited on what it will answer/do for you. It plays music with decent sound quality but it's a small speaker so don't expect audio system sound. It is currently more a novelty item in my opinion however the expectation is that it will continue to add functionality and improve what it can answer for you.

Got one of the first google homes in 2016, improvements have been made, but it seems like certain functionality should be in production but it isn’t.

I am a huge google/nest smart home device fan. This product works great with the rest of my smart devices around the house. I keep this one in the kitchen. Its sleek design looks great on the counter top. Speaker quality is more than enough for the kitchen. Google gives amazon Alexa a run for its money with this one.

So far it's been handy in asking it questions, but I thought it would have more answers like a search engine. Will have to try to utilize more features

Very good for listening to music. Horrible for anything else. Ask Google Home a question, and it can't help you with that yet. Only the ore programmed questions that Google advertises-that they have answers for. Anything else, forget it. My Nest thermostat never could synch with Google Home. My kids love it for the music though, so I gave it he four stars for that. Don't expect much more.
