There is a lot to like about this device, but be aware of the shortfalls if you're considering a purchase. Google Home is obviously going to be compared to the Amazon Echo, Dot and Tap. While it does not have the audio quality of the Echo or Tap, it does sound better than the Dot. If you're looking for something to primarily listen to music, this is not the way to go. On the other hand, it puts the power of Google search on your shelf or table if you want to shout out random questions. It really comes in handy when you need to get immediate answers without having to reach for your phone or sit down at a computer. The Amazon products cannot handle these requests very well at all. Google Home has some catching up to do to compete with the Amazon products in terms of integration with third party hardware and software. I have confidence that Google will get there, but if that is important to you right now, an Amazon Echo, Dot or Tap might be better suited for your needs.

I believe this item was the best choice I could of made. I'm going to buy some of the other feature this device can control.

This came as part of a set with Samsung Appliances, works great, had it up and running in a few minutes. We have Sonos throughout the house, and this is not a replacement, hopefully they will work TOGETHER soon. It's nice to be able to tell it to play something for your toddler that's melting down, and all of a sudden it's a dance party!

Google Home is an entertaining product but still lacks functional use. The google team hasn't added the things that will make it a product you can't live without, yet, I hope! The speech recognition is fantastic and it is really well built. The speakers are really high quality so the sound is great. Give it a year and it will be the best thing on the market!

This is a clever little gadget that-- if it doesn't do what it promises today, it WILL do what it promises tomorrow. :-) Let me explain that: sometimes "Google Lady" as I call her, will tell you "I'm sorry, I can't help you with that, by I'm trying to learn." And, truth be told, she IS learning, every day-- and Google is working hard to help her. This device is SUPER useful right out of the box for a few things-- a) pair it with an unlimited music service (I use YouTube Red) and she'll play anything, whenever you want it-- and the audio quality, out of a doohickey this small, is actually really good with weirdly strong bass. B) It will control a select number of your IoT devices, for example I use mine with my Nests and it's flawless. And there's a bunch of other stuff it'll do, as soon as I figure out how (for example, I know there's integration with my Insteon lights, as soon as I spend five minutes learning ITTT). Is this an essential? Not yet. But for the money it costs, and the little joys it gives my family (particularly my daughter, who loves to talk to "her") it's a great little toy-- that, eventually as they develop it, will be even more important and indispensable.

We have Alexa from Amazon and are happy to now have the Google Home because we use mostly Google products! So far so great!

Good sound, like the lights, works as advertised. I bought these to go along with a nest hello installation since my whole house intercom system wouldn’t integrate. I spread these and mini’s around the house and now I get notified when someone rings the doorbell but it’s nice having a virtual assistan as well

Google home is simply amazing. There is almost nothing it can't do, just a few more updates before it can text or call. The speakers are simply extrodinary, especially for how small they are. Asking her to do things is a little tricky sometimes so you kind of have to play around with your words to see what she responds to but overall amazing!

Easy to use and set up doesn't take up a lot of room.

Product is great, it understands my accent and nicely integrates with my chromecast and other devices. Google incredible voice recognition makes it much more powerful and user friendly as it plays videos(on chromecast), songs easily by simple command. With google actions launch, you can enjoy creating custom apps and play around with device.

Since I am an Android & Google user, it was easy to set-up! I love playing music at home and I usually play it through my mobile device. I was a little skeptical on purchasing the Google Home and the sound output, but I was really impressed with the sound quality and the deep bass. I appreciate being able to interact with technology.

This is a perfect device to turn your home into a smart home. I had been using chromecast device to cast my videos and now using Google home I can just ask google to the job. Also I can use google home to play songs independently. Now I am planning to get the philips hue so that i can completely turn my sweet home into a smart home.

Still learning how to say things, but enjoy so much. You can leave reminders, set alarms and hear good music. Great product!

Love Google Home! I love to play music through the house and this product makes it that much easier. It also allows my son to play his type of music without having to ask me to search for it. Starting to add chrome cast to our TVs so we can control more items in our household with Google Home. One of the best purchases I have made.
