I have two in my house now, and we like them for playing music, controlling our Chromecasts, and setting wakeup alarms. The voice recognition is about 80% accurate, but sometimes we have to repeat things...it's better than Siri though. It stumbles with some search terms, but is overall a cool and responsive tool for the house.

I bought it for my daughter who is 11. She has a very nice time with it. She's still experimenting with it.

I actually like this better than the Amazon Echo for home automation. With Echo you have to say exactly the name of the device you've entered. However with GH, it can guess and very accurate. The home automation also respond quicker that the Echo. I'm planning to sell all of my Echo & Dot and replace them with GH.

Google Home has been an invaluable tool for my aging parents. “Hey Google” is definitely the go to for them.

I like it, but it can get annoying trying to find the "correct" way to ask a question to get the desired response.

I knew when purchasing the Google Home that it would be in its infancy and not yet fully functional. But the limited functionality is still fun and still very convenient. As I'm walking to the sink to do dishes I can simply say "OK Google, play bosso nova" and I then get lovely background music which I would have been far too lazy to have turned on without this voice activation. I often do the same with NPR in the morning as I'm preparing my breakfast. It's a great way to ask about the weather when you're headed out the door. When you're preparing dinner and notice you have no more chicken stock you can ask that it add chicken stock to your shopping list. As you put the rice on the stove you can ask it to set a timer for 20 minutes. As you're watching tv it's a fast way to find out who's dead and who's still alive without having to grab your smartphone. I wish I could program the phone to interface with the NYC MTA bus scheduling apps. It would be nice to ask "OK Google, when's the next Q25 bus" but this doesn't work yet. But even with the limited functionality it makes life just a bit easier but considerably more fun.

Once you learn all the commands. This works great. If you don't want to learn the commands then your SOL.

This is one fun product to own it works well with Amazon echo. actually my google and Echo became friends. I this tells me my calendar and I can get news whenever I want and many other things. I saw a review of this product on TWIT on the show "The new Screen savers" you will enjoy this product for years to come.

Good competition for Alexa, Some time annoying when it says I'm still learning. Hope it's a quick learner.

It is getting closer to the jetsons all we need is a auto dog walker

We love this thing. It's played just about any song we've asked and we decided to subscribe to Google Play music. We get baseball scores, daily news and use it as a timer for cooking. We have no smart appliances or plugs but might consider them. Also enjoy the fun facts. There's a very smart lady inside!

I have the Amazon Echo and Dot but wanted to see what the Google Home had to offer. I have to admit that I like the buttons better on the Home more than the Echo and Dot. Turning the volume down using touch seems to make it a lot easier to see where I am at. Searching or asking question with Google seems to be a lot easier. I was shocked when I asked for a phone number or asking when a store closes Home is right there. The Echo or Dot you have to install an application and only hope that it works. I play the PowerBall, try asking Echo or Dot what the amount is up to. Home will do it. The only thing that I feel that Google really missed out on was the speaker. This is where the Echo really excelled. The speaker is awesome and you can play music all listening throughout the house with the Echo. I recommend the Home more than the Amazon products.

My son just moved into a new apartment with his girlfriend and this items came in good use. His girlfriend programmed a male's voice so that someone thinks she has someone over when she's by herself. We have 2 in our home and we talk to them every day.

Google settles all arguments between me and the wife. Great timer in the kitchen. Plays Pandora and Echo does not. We've got both. Echo stays in the bedroom and we use if for a alarm and sleep music. Echo also connects to my iTunes on my phone and google does not. Both search information about the same.

We love the addition of this larger Google Home. We only had 2 Google minis in our small 1 bedroom apartment, but now in our large 2 bedroom apartment, we added this "Momma Google" as we call her. It has great sound quality, and is very responsive. It was very, very easy to add to our network.

I got this product for my sister and she loves it thinking of getting one for me great for the hole family

I bought this for my mother for Christmas, and it's a huge hit! The Google Home is super easy to use and a lot of fun to play around with. I love all the features; you can play trivia games with your family, you can play mad libs, and of course, you can play your favorite playlists off of Pandora!

My wife has been asking about one of these for awhile now. Everyone I talked that had one really liked it.

It is definitely cool but the sound isn’t great so if you’re looking for a speaker for music look elsewhere

I really like being able to ask Google questions but my favorite thing is Google Music (6 months free than 9.95 a month). It's great to be able to listen to any song or album I want instantly. I think Google Home has great sound. I still need to work on getting accessories to work well ( WeMo smart plugs) but hope to soon
