I purchased this device to help elderly folks at our nursing home with simple access to important daily info. Hay, Google what time is it? What's the temperature outside? Do I need a coat? Who won the football game? Etc. Time will tell if it gets good use.

This has been a great addition to our home and use it more than I thought we would. Whether we're adding reminders to our shared lists, scheduling upcoming event, asking for definitions, solving math problems, setting timers and reminders, or controling lights and music, our family has enjoyed this product thouroughly.

The Google Home is more functional than the Amazon Alexa linguistically. It responds more naturally to inquiries, and behaves more like a person than an AI. There's still a lot of can't do, but Google keeps changing this every day. I like using it to activate my podcasts and music and set timers from the kitchen.

The google home is very entertaining. It was purchased for an elderly person and they have just been having a blast asking it just useless information and playing old songs. It has given him some interesting fun which is definately worth the price alone. It was so simple to set up too. I highly recommend it!

I have one of these in both of my bedrooms, the kitchen and my livingroom. Google is never far away to control my lights, tv, or answer questions i have. I love getting conversions and setting multiple concurrent, named timers in kitchen and love the whole house music (ala sonos) controlled by my voice

The sound quality alone makes this as worthy upgrade to Alexa. It is also easier to use out of the boxes.

I purchased the Google Home on Black Friday with the Visa Checkout discount and it ended up being a great deal. I bought a few of them for around the house. They're great! I use them all the time for questions and playing music. With the chromecast, I'm able to play music videos and netflix on voice command.

I debated between Alexa and Home and went with Google Home based on its potential. Right now Alexa has more features and is better integrated with other products but hopefully Google Home will surpass it in the near future. As of now Home feels like an unfinished product that does a few things but does them fairly well.

We purchased the Google and an Amazon Echo to compare features so as to buy more for family gifts. Google was easy to set up and when we had power failure easier to reset then the Amazon Echo. As far as useablity and answering questions both are on par. I'll enjoy both and hope more features are added for google.

We got the Google Home to compliment our Samsung SmartThings (SST) hub to help start us on our home automation journey. The family enjoys interacting with the Home to get news or have it tell them jokes and it has been well enough to connect to our Osram Lightify bulbs through SST. I think the Home is a little limited in its features however as it does not connect to my phone. I think this will change as Google Assistant is rolled out but for now it can't send texts, emails, make calls, or most of the things you've come to rely on OK Google to be able to do. I personally also feel that saying OK Google or Hey Google every time I want something done is a little bit cumbersome especially if I am by the light switch, but this may improve with better home automation design on my part. Overall, I would say it does the job and since it was black friday pricing I can't complain. As new features come along and it better integrates with your phone and the services you expect it will only get better. Also the speaker is pretty loud which makes it impossible for the device to hear you when you are playing loud music.

Google's continued improvement of the Google assistant makes this an awesome tool for a connected home.

Bought this to use with my Echo, well to ask questions and then play music on my Echo as I've read the speakers on this isn't great. However, to my surprise, the speakers are pretty darn good! I didn't give it 5 stars because it doesn't actually readily answer your questions like shown in the commercials.

Having owned both the echo and google home, I can say without a doubt I find myself using my google home way more. Full control of my hue lights is something I can't get with the echo even after all these years. My only real complaint is that it doesn't support android tv or at least mine as of the time I'm writing this.

This is a wonderful home speaker, I’ve used an Amazon Echo, and this works well. I can order anything from the google store, turn on and off my lights, and even open my garage door (with the right smart home accessories). I just wish it did a little more and the smart home orders were more like Siri or Amazon Echo.

Have 3 Google Home speakers in sync as Total Home Grouo creating stereophonic stream throughout condo. Tones are crisp and clear, a joy to listen to. Some inconsistency with using Google Asst commands. System can get confused so hopefully future software upgrades will make it easier and more intuitive

Sometimes the Google home has a hard time understanding the commands we give it. Other than that I would highly recommend the Google Home. We can control our lights, tv, thermostat, and music with just the sound of our voice. It is easy to customize to our preference. We are well pleased!

This works great. It takes awhile to set up but worth the time. Like all accessories you can get for it

This was a special holiday gift request from some friends. They were very excited with the Google Home.

The reason I purchased this instead of the Echo is due to the ability to access google music and youtube. To me, this is a better system compared to the Echo, the only downside is the compatibility that google is working on. I think in the long run this will be better than the Echo and is already showing great promise.
