Maybe they need better insulation?

Homedics-Quattro mini massager

HOWEVER, THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT TOO EASILY COMES APART, letting the batteries fall out. I'm constantly putting the batteries back in. I had to place electrical tape over compartment access to keep batteries in place. It is easy to use & hold. If a person is careful handling the massager, the battery access will stay in place.
