Wprks great through the winter for extremely dry air. I usually have to fill it after about 3 days with it running 24 hours.

The one thing that really makes this product great is the ease to take apart and clean. Also, the design of this product it makes it not a sore because it becomes part with your furniture and decoration.

Quietest humidifier ever. I have it run all night to help with my breathing and i dont hear it plus it has a feature to turn off the light at night. I love all the settings.

-The purchase was a relatively easy process. The HoMedics has been operating, at home, since the purchase. At this point, the device is working as advertised. It has helped put moisture back into the air which is of great benefit to my wife.

The HoMedics - Ultrasonic Humidifier is a nice looking and efficient home humidifier, with a number of nice features. Following are my observations of the features of this humidifier: - Very quick and easy to begin using. Just remove it from the box, remove a bit of packing materials, read through the quick start guide, fill with water and it is ready to turn on to start humidifying your home. - This is a nice looking humidifier that will fit in well with most decor. It is a white color and has a light oak, wooden mist nozzle and matching legs. - This is a large capacity humidifier, which holds up to 1.47 gallons of water and says it is ideal for family rooms and bedrooms up to 426 square feet. The large capacity is nice as you don't have to fill it often. It will run for up to 70 hours on a low mist setting, so this can run for multiple days before you need to refill it. - It is very easy to fill with a top-fill tank that is plenty wide enough that you can easily fill it without spilling water. I use a pitcher to fill it. but you can also remove the tank and take it right to a faucet to fill it. - It runs very quiet. I don't even hear it running. - There are three different mist output settings - low, medium and high, so you can adjust it based on the size of your room and how dry it is. - The mist nozzle rotates 360 degrees, so you can direct it in any direction you want. - This unit has a programmable digital humidistat. The default setting is "continuously on", but you can also set it in 5% increments from 35% to 55% humidity. If you use a percent, then the unit will turn off automatically when it reaches the humidity level you have it set at. When the humidity in the room then drops more than 5% below the set humidity level, it will cycle back on again. I like this feature as the amount of humidity in a room should fluctuate based on how cold it is out and how dry the room is, so I like being able to adjust the humidity level but know that it will turn off so my room isn't over humidified either. - If you don't use the programmable humidity levels, it also has an auto-off timer that you can set for 4, 8 or 12 hour options. - this unit has an auto-shutoff protection feature which causes it to shutoff when the water tank is empty. The power button also glows red when it is out of water. - There is a nightlight. You can turn it on with the display lights, or with the display lights off, or you can turn all lights off. I think this would be a nice feature in the bedroom, but I use mine in the family room so have just left on the display settings. - There is an essential oils tray and it comes with 3 pads you can use in the tray which slides in at the bottom of the unit. You would put a few drops of oil on the pad and stick it in the tray and slide it into the unit, and you would immediately be able to smell it. I have not used this feature as I'm not sure my pets would like the smell, but its a nice feature for those who like to use essential oils. - It is recommended that the unit be cleaned after 60 hours of use and there is an indicator that will turn red when it is time to clean it. It is very easy to take apart to clean. - If you have very hard water, then you may end up with some white mineral dust in your room. However, the unit comes with a demineralization cartridge that you can put in the water to reduce the dust. I have fairly hard water so I am using the demineralization cartridge and I haven't noticed a significant increase in dust while running the humidifier. Overall, this is a nice home humidifier. It is good looking, quiet, easy to use and most importantly has made a big difference in the comfort of of my family room. I can get bloody noses and dry skin if the air is too dry in my home. I have this humidifier in my family room, which is fairly large, and I can definitely notice a difference, as my skin is not as dry since I started running it.
