This seemed to be what I needed to help with the air being so dry. But it left a white residue all over everything! I returned the item.

Stopped working after about a month. I was super disappointed because reviews were good. Also like how much water the tank held.

Before buying this garbage, I read several positive reviews on this thing... all good, so I bought it. My son's college dorm room - 4 college freshman boys was dry as a devil dog - they needed some sort of humidifier. They LOVED it ... for the two weeks it worked. One morning - with water in it - the red 'out of water' led went on...that was it - never worked again.
He cleaned it thoroughly, resets, etc same thing - power on - red needs water comes on and nothing. I spent a couple hours at home - same thing - red water out led. It ain't rocket science - tank has a spring/plunger which sits on a piece of plastic that pushes the plunger and water comes out. That all works - except no water comes out. Garbage - don't waste your money. Plenty of other less expensive humidifiers put moisture in the air. This thing is garbage.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Homedics TotalComfort Deluxe 1.38 Gallon Top-Fill Ultrasonic Humidifier. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you’ve encountered and the frustration it caused for your son and his dorm mates.
The problem with the red "out of water" indicator persisting despite having water in the tank is certainly not what we want for our customers. While it sounds like you’ve already tried cleaning and troubleshooting, this issue may indicate a technical defect.
If you still have the humidifier, we encourage you to reach out to our consumer relations team to explore warranty options or receive further assistance.
