It was tolerable as an "a/c" unit, def worked better with ice in the water chamber
Unfortunately, it smelled terrible. Even with cleaning the brand new chamber, it still smelled musty and electrical fire-like.. It didnt keep me cold enough to want to tolerate the awful smell.

I purchased this item in store based on a recommendation of an associate and had it shipped to my house. I was initally excited because I didn't want something that needed a vent out the window (because I am renting) well you will this with water and all it does it make the room humid, does not drop the temperature more than a fan would do. AVOID!

This is a great way to cool off a room without the hassle or expense of a separate air conditioner. Just plug it in by an open window to use the fan, or add water and turn on for cooler air. I searched all over, and Best Buy was the only store that had this product in stock.
