Bought this when my a/c failed. It did not perform too well. It cooled the room temperature by about 6-7 degrees, but thats about it. Used cold water (with ice cubes) in the night and it seemed to do a decent job. Not sure if there are any products in the same price range that does the job, but i don't think this helps much on a hot summer day.

I sit on my sofa and watch TV with this pointed directly at that area...I up my A/C thermostat to 88 and am perfectly comfortable....and Galveston has a bit of humidity to say the least.

We did everything as instructed. Set it in an area where it could draw air and circulate, used it in an office setting. Thermometer read 81 degrees, after three hours of use thermostat read 84 degrees. It's basically a fan that you add water to and it blows air, warm air. Returned within two days.
