Not easy to get bracket into window

The window kit and bracket are built worse then the older models very cheaply. Nothing secures the hose to the bracket other then 3 plastic tabs if you barley move the hose falls right off. The window bracket on a double high vynl window left me swearing, my new windows have a lip so bracket can no sit flush, had to figure out how to get it to sit on a surface 4 sizes smaller the the bracket also leaves a good ammount of air space in between the extention piece.

I am an HVAC installer, I work constructio for 25 years, and I am training to become a state inspector. Trust me when I say to avoid this brand and unit. The unit was purchased new in bestbuy, it blows hot air (the hose blows out cooler air than the actual unit). Unit has a damaged coil with burn marks and the coil fins chard and damaged. The hose is as cheap as they come and only 4ft long and not long enough for the unit to sit on the floor and the hose to reach normal window height (normally they are 6ft.) Honeywell does not even include sealing foam for the window like all other portable Ac units come with. I will avoid ALL future honeywell products from now on. Absolute trash!

Condensation appears on the top where you turn it on and off. Also on the front and sides of the air conditioner. When I first plugged it up water and the air conditioner was running about an hour, water filled an overflow pan frequently and I was unaware it was filling up. It has warped the floor and rug.

Great product until it died

Until after about 2 weeks then it stopped working. One of the parts on the circuit board burned out. No one could replace the little circuit board or fix it. Was given a new unit for free thank god!

Thankfully the product worked have helped me sleep and found comfort in my living space. I gave the Honeywell portable a/c a 4 star review because of the drainage issue and noise the product creates, though both problems are tolerated it would be perfect if the product was not as noisy or dripped a gallon of water during a six hour period of use. Either than that it has four wheels that are durable and smooth, cools the room instantly, and its dependable.

Not bad. Could be better

It works for my largish room (20x15) but a smaller room (10x10 or something) would be better for it. I'm not sure if the coils ice over because I'm in a larger room or if it's a design flaw, but if you have it draining constantly into a bucket or outside it works well enough. Just turn it off ac for a few minutes and you'll hear the ice break and water flood out. It would be 5 stars if it removed the moisture it builds up but it works well. Also a wheel was broken during shipment but i put it on a upside down milk crate and put a board under the front of it to drain back

So happy with this one! It’s so easy to operate and take care of, but the best thing is how well it works! I have it in my bedroom which is in an old uninsulated farm house. This room gets hot in the Texas summer! I turn it on in the evening and set the temp to 72 degrees. By the time I’m ready for bed, my room is nice and cool, and it stays that way all night. I’ll be purchasing a couple more in the near future. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it was hard to put the vent together.

Defective & included kit isn't comprehensive

Furthermore, the kit it comes with is not as comprehensive as you would hope. No included pan for moisture collection which isn't a huge deal as any container can really do but would be nice to have. The included hose also doesn't stretch past 47 inches which means if your window is even slightly higher than average or behind a ledge it will be a pain or impossible to get the hose to reach and you will be buying from a third-party to make it reach which further delays how long you wait for your AC to be of use. If the product arrived in working condition this would be a 3-star rating. Spending ~$450 on a less-than-perfect product without the necessary items for use isn't what I had in mind upon purchasing. TL;DR: Product was broken and too expensive for a less-than-ideal installation kit anyway. Returning to spend money on another brand.

Honeywell portable air conditioners work on self evaporation and do not need to be drained unless operating in very humid conditions. The drain pan is not included with the unit.
The length of the exhaust hose is determined scientifically, as per the amount of hot air it can expel, and we do not recommend extending it. You could raise the unit slightly by placing it on a leveled surface, if it does not reach the desired height of your window.

Decent machine, stupid hose.

Hasn't needed to be drained at all despite decently humid high 80s temperatures. Works pretty well in my living room, but you have to realize its not going to cool a large room down below 70 very well. It's not on the same level as a mini-split or central AC system and it was never meant to be. Its as the company says, its meant for small enclosed rooms. Works in my living room despite this anyways. I have an older model that's been running for almost 4 years and that's why I bought this one. I will say the hose set up is absolutely infuriating. The manual claims it will be preassembled but came in pieces and was extremely difficult to put together, and there are no instructions for it whatsoever. Honeywell, you need to make sure these stupid hoses are actually preassembled as stated. Almost returned it just because of that.
