Room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency and there are ways to increase the capacity of these units. There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, the dust filter could be dirty, or the air outlet could be blocked.

Seems like all AC units have a series of bad reviews. Why i go with the most reliable. Only issue i have is the new design of most Portable AC units...(egg/opening lid) which only dispurses the cool air in a direction that you need to ve right next to it, or standing iver ut to get the cool air. Makes more sense to stick with the front firing air dispersment design

Not what I was expecting

For the price I was expecting a much cooler experience. Purchased the portable AC for an upstairs bedroom. This unit only cools the room by 7 to 10 degrees with the door closed. I'm in an old house and I'm sure the insulation could be better. I'm sure a window AC would be better cooling experience but I'm scared it would fall out the window which is why I spent a lot of money on this product. I use a fan and ceiling fan to help circulate the air but it not much help especially on 90+ degree days. I was desperate for relief when purchased and wished I would have done research.
