Easier than installing an old box window AC

Since the wife is on oxygen and cannot breathe in humidity. Currently it's running 24/7 helping the central unit that's struggling while waiting for the technician to get to us in their full schedule. The controls and lights are not as intuitive as I'd like and the remote is even more confusing. I can program an ancient vcr but getting high cool set on this thing takes 2 tries lol It also is easily changed by cats that decide it is a good place to lounge or climb on smh I'm seeing they aren't necessarily the value I'd hoped for. Definitely will freeze you out of a small room just afraid it won't stand the test of time.

First of all, I have a window that slides left to right vs up and down so I had to install the exhaust tube vertical, and the extender they provide has nothing to keep it in place, it just slides down. I had to hot glue and use gorilla tape, which is unacceptable at this price point. Secondly, it was very difficult to get the tubes to go into the connector rings. 3rd, it came with a random screw and lug nut that wasn't even listed in the instructions. I still don't know what it was suppose to be used for. Forth, the expandable tube is not long enough for the unit to sit on the floor and reach the window, and I have a standard height window. I ended up having to place the unit on top of an empty tote. For this price they should have included a longer hose. Fifth, The instructions were very generic and very unhelpful. In conclusion, I haven't even got the thing turned on yet and I'm ready to return it. I've purchased other portable AC's in the past and none of them were this difficult to set up.

This keeps my apartment ice cold to where, when it's 96° outside, I need a blanket, when watching TV and hanging out. I also love That this air conditioner comes with a digital remote, and It oscillates Up-and-down.

I would take it back but I threw the box out first day I opened it. Completely sick of this item . Don’t get me wrong it’s cold in my room but the draining process , the water tank , the hose to attach to the unit and outside the window . I had to use duck tape and crazy glue to hold everything in. It’s so much to explain I’m Over it!

Sometimes when the unit is operating in cooling mode in lower room temperatures (e.g. lower than 60°F), the internal cooling coils may become too cold and sometimes frost may develop on the cooling coils. When this happens, the unit will automatically pause operation and defrost the cooling coils to protect the unit. The air conditioner will restart automatically when the system has defrosted and returns to standard operational temperatures. Loud as a Freight Train and It Stopped Working!!

Less than 2 years in and it's toast. It doesn't blow any cold air and we have taken really good care of this unit. Everything turns on, just no cold air. The coils are not cold either. It is super clean! It stays in our room year round and used infrequently throughout the summer. It barely gets to 80 degrees here outside! I took it out this year and nothing! So I lost over $600!!! So tired of everything being a piece of crap! Nothing lasts anymore!! Also, the hose attachment thing is horrible and very very hard to assemble and put together. I have arthritis and it's absolutely brutal. I also do remodel for a living so I'm strong and tuff but this hose? Garbage! I'd leave a better review if it didn't suck. Now I'm out the money becase no company stands behind their products anymore!

I needed a temporary fix, cooled and removed humidity as stated. Easy to move with wheels to different rooms as long as you have a window for proper ventilation. Would not recommend while sleeping in the same room because of the noise. Heavy to lift.

This new unit does a good job of cooling one room down, but it runs very quiet until the compressor kicks on and is then very loud. The old unit was almost the same level of sound whether the compressor was on or not. So, this significant sound level increase can make it difficult to sleep in the room where the unit is located. I've used the unit for three weeks now.

I have to drain the thing every 3 hours... and the bottom drain plug is so low to the ground, next to impossible to get anything under it to catch it... Instead I roll it over to the back door (After unplugging it, and remove the exhaust hose) and set it on the back porch to drain. This is ridiculous. I have 2 other units, Both GE, and Both 350 SQ units, running continuously for 3 weeks now, no drainage needed.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It works great- bit of a PITA to install in a hinged push out horizontal basement window (as opposed to a side to side slide window- for which an adapter is provided with this unit) but if you are handy and can look up installation instructions on YouTube, it is worth it for the cooling it provides. Haven’t had it long enough to speak to its durability or trouble free lasting power, but I purchased the 4 year protection, so no worries there. Had it been easier to set up drainage and window installation, I would have given it 5 stars, but that’s really the fault of my house built in 1964 rather than a manufacturer issue.

The only thing a small issue is its a bit loud, other that that its an excellent product. I purchased two units and had them running in my large living room which is about 1000 sqft. Did fantastic job to cool the house in recent heat wave we had in OR for about 3 weeks in August.
