Since my ac will not be fixed unit Thursday, I had to buy this to beat the heat. The set up is not easy at all! It is horrible. The hose isn't long enough. I had to put it on a old book shelf so the hose can reach my living room window. 2.) The hose isn't easy to hook up at all, it kept popping the adapter and the window. After 8 hours, i noticed that it was pulling more heat inside my living room than out. I ended up taking this back for a refund. Thank God I have a Insignia portable ac. I hooked my Insignia in my living room. It works so much better than this one. I will deal with my Insignia until Thursday. Don't waste your money on this one.

Room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency and there are ways to increase the capacity of these units. There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, or the exhaust hose may need re-installation to avoid the heat from coming back into the room. Overpriced and Loud

It is nice that you can see the ambient temperature on the digital display. As far a cooling power, it isn't up to what a window unit of the same BTUs would be, but it works fairly well. My primary beef with this machine is that it vibrates the floor. The company really needs to insulate the motor better. Prior to purchasing it, I had trouble sleeping due to the heat. Now, I am having trouble sleeping due to the vibration from the A/C: not an amazing trade-off. I have another brand I purchased from a different retailer, and it is much quieter and does not vibrate. Plus, it cost a lot less.

Not a great night

It was difficult to connect the hose at either end since it did not fit the connections and kept slipping out. The window connection is not even the right size for the hose. It took 4 hours and a roll of duct tape to get it together. After setting it on ac mode and running it for 16 hours it stopped working and needed to be drained, from both plugs. Even the plugs do not fit tightly. Hence, my wet rugs. I am extremely disappointed and would like you to make this right. I had another Honeywell before this. It was 6 years old and was better made than this one.

After draining the air conditioner and turning it on again it continued to spit water everywhere. Looked in the back area and took off the vented frame just to see a 2in thick block of ice was truly disappointed that I spent $600 just to be let down and buy an AC for half the price that is better

Returned it and got another one. The second one the bottom came broken and leaked on the hard wood floor. To be honest we returned the second one and we were done with the Honeywell Portable Air Conditioner. We went somewhere else to purchase a Frigidaire that seems to be much better. It is not Best Buys fault that the Honeywell portable air conditioner has major problems.

Completely disappointing

It put out air that was only a bit less than room temp. It filled with water within a couple of hours (needs constant draining), and shut itself down. Second time I tried it, the unit made terrible noises and shut itself off after freezing up, still didn’t make the room cool, and leaked all over the wood floor. Returned. Not sure if ours was a lemon, or if it is a bad design, but this was a terrible purchase and lots of lifting for nothing.

The window bracket kit measures 19.7 inches and can only extended to 38.2 inches. It can be installaed both vertically as well as horizontally. If the size of your window is larger than this, then you will need to make modifications.

SO frustrated by this air conditioner!!
