We had a different portable one in our lower level that is quiet and cools down the whole space. This one is so loud, fills up with water in less than 24 hours. I can’t sleep with the noise. Too late to return. Not worth the $600 during a pandemic!!!

It made a loud noise when operating, which we should shut down and restart which quieted it down but then 5 minutes later, it would make the noise. Then it flooded the hard wood floors the second day. It has a pretty short tube to connect outside compared to other units. And difficult to screw in.

Not a Great Buy

It was great for the last year and a half. Of course it only comes with a 1 year warranty and we didn't buy an extended warranty because our last Honeywell lasted for 7 years. We did have to empty the water almost daily during the warmer weather.

It's been only 2 days. I would not recommend this product. The water drains continuously needs to be channelled outside, it's such a disappointing experience.

Straight up dont buy this

Don't waste your time or money

It was very complicated to put together, and the instructions were not helpful - quite horrible and frustrating - even for two people to try to read them. In addition, the unit strained to keep a 600 sq. ft bungalow set at 68 degrees F. My place was ay 77-88 degrees for most of it and the wood on my new furniture began to break off from the moisture. The unit also turns off when the water is full. This unit was doing this every 90 minutes, during the night, during my video calls at work, etc. Best Buy customer service was HORRIBLE (kept tranferring me and dropping the calls). I spent the better part of two days getting transferred and put on hold, until I went down to the store and got an exchange for another type of AC unit - not this brand or model. I will think twice before purchasing anything with this company again.

Though this unit can cool a space of upto 550 sq, ft, room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency and there are ways to increase the capacity of these units. There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, or the exhaust hose may need re-installation to avoid the heat from coming back into the room. These portable air conditioners work on self evaporation and do not need to be drained unless operating in very humid conditions. You do not need continuous drainage when you are running the unit in cooling mode. Our portable air conditioners work on self evaporation(in cooling mode) and do not need to be drained unless operating in very humid conditions.
You may need to check the level of humidity, or the set level of temperature in area you are operating the unit in. Decent product, terrible customer service.

No complaints on product other than the price being somewhat high. Customer service as far as installation though was beyond poor. I cancelled Geek Squad due to poor service but just cancelling Geek Squad was a real effort. So decent product but deplorable service.
