I just received this unit after ordering it online as an open box- excellent purchase. This is a replacement after my workhorse Haier CPN10XCJ-L began to malfunction a couple days ago. This unit is definitely a step up from my old beast. I find the workmanship and quality of the unit and hose attachments are much better than my old unit and was shocked at how much quieter it runs- I would guess almost half as loud. I just now finished the simple installation and fired it up about 10 minutes ago. We are using the air conditioner to cool our master bedroom and it has already brought the Temperature down to a comfortable level. Again, compared to the machine I was using, this is definitely a step, maybe even a leap, up from what I was using. ( with the exception of how loud it ran, I loved the Haier as well). As far as purchasing an open box item, I have quite pleased. This unit came in picture perfect shape with no dents or scratches, in the original box and packaging, and all parts included. It is functioning perfectly and if that changes, I’ll post an update.

My older portable AC after 2 seasons of working just stopped cool, so I was forced to buy a new one. After my first bad experience with LG company I decided to buy Honeywell with more power even thouh my bedroom is small. Now I’m sure it was a great choice. My new device works great and quite, so I can use when I sleep or watch TV. I love this new design. Just in case a took a warranty for 4 years as offered by Best Buy. Strongly recommend this product!

Purchased this during a heatwave, and wow did it come through. Just a really solid build quality and perfect for cooling small spaces. Make sure that you have a means for venting the hot air - vent hose extends through a window or other opening - before purchasing.

This Honeywell Portable AC unit works fabulously. It sits in a third floor space that is usually very hot - and it easily cools ~ 800 sq ft. It is quiet - and physically, very attractive. Perfect solution for a hot, loft area! We love it!

This A/C unit cools the main level of my house very well! I purchased this about a month ago and so far, no issues with cooling. I would highly recommend this unit.

I highly recommend this product. It is easy to install, hassle free and absolutely effective. I suck at installing anything but I was able to do this. Moving it around was also very easy. But best of all, it leaves my room so cool that I have to either cover myself with a heavy blanket or just turn it off. Furthermore, I was so elated that I found this because my building management in NYC has a strict rules when it comes to removing window guards ( I have a 2 year old) and installing the traditional AC's . I am certainly glad that they have such strict rules, for my son has too much energy, running and jumping everywhere. My only downside with this product is that the price is a little too steep. $600+ is a bit ridiculous if you ask me lol.

My "Central AC" for my 1100 square foot house went out....and putting this on my bestbuy card allowed me to find a solution to "beat the summer heat" without having to max out several thousand on credit plus interest....Since labor alone was going to come close to the cost of this...plus parts and interest....I checked to see about a portable....I have fans running to move the air through the rest of the house....The room it's in is ice cold in order to cool the further parts of the house to where we want it but we have had lots of 100 degree days and up to 110....The house would be a sweltering sauna without this AC and at a reasonable price really....Sure having to run it spiked the electric bill, it's probably about what the whole house AC would do or maybe less on the electricity than the whole house system....since we have had a week here and another week there where it was 100 degrees plus every day straight...It is super easy to move around from room to room or to set up or remove the exhaust from the window....Probably saving on energy costs over the whole house AC anyways and it doesn't take up much space and is decent looking...And I notice it's now listed as Sold out so I am glad I picked one up when I did! Highly recommended!

OK, I just bought this yesterday and set it up today, so there’s that. I’m in my bedroom chilling at the moment... short to say, this unit is everything I expected and then some. I love it. Construction seems very solid, cools fantastic and not very noisy. I read a lot before picking this particular model. Many people don’t like portable units because of size, weight (yes it’s heavy) and noise. This makes about the same level of noise as a window unit which is unavoidable bc of the compressor. I find it quite satisfactory particularly because there are zero rattles - just a hum and the sound of air blowing. Don’t know how long it will last but I’m thinking it’s very solid and the brand comes highly recommended. Last thing, setup was straightforward and easy. Exhaust hose and window panel seem solid - some reviewers of other models have said the opposite about the unit they bought. Highly recommend!

This unit is quiet, yet cools better than any of the similar units I've used. The air conditioner requires little to no maintenance. Though I have not had to drain the air conditioner yet, there is a warning light to let you know if it becomes necessary to do so. It's easy to move also.

Great unit for the price. Easy to install and operate. Relatively quiet operation for a stand alone unit. Does a good job at cooling down rooms.

Quality of unit is Excellent - brand name made me feel better about the purchase. it worked great cooling down a bedroom during an AC outage. Value is fair - I was in a bind when I bought it so of course after the purchase I started seeing ads for similar ones at cheaper prices (different models/brands). Disappointed I may have spent more than I needed, but still satisfied that I have a Honeywell with Best Buy support. Ease of Use - Average. There's only 3 parts but the window slider didn't fit my bedroom window (it's a standard 35-36" window) so I had to manually saw the plastic piece to make it fit. But once that was done, it worked great and saved us from the FL heat. Would recommend to a friend, as long as you price-check.

So far this Portable Air Conditioner has been a life saver! It cools the main part of our home with ease. It's really quiet compared to our other window air conditioners we have in our bedrooms. It was really easy to set up. We haven't had to empty the water out yet so I'll update later if I have difficulties but don't expect any. An additional plus is that it looks nice & clean! *** Something that I really liked is the window extension that it comes with was actually wide enough to completely go across the full width of the window. Our living room windows are quiet large.

Bought this unit prior to hurricane Irma making it's way through. With it's low watt usage, it was a GREAT fit for my bedroom, and generator. My generator was running 2 refrigerators, a few lamps, and this AC unit. The Honeywell unit used so little power, I've decided it's cheaper to run it in my bedroom and keep the rest of the house a bit warmer. While some people complain about the noise, mine it almost TOO quiet. I have to have some sort of white noise to sleep, and a cold room. This unit provides both. The noise isn't a nuisance, but JUST right. The dehumidifier is amazing, and is large enough to be able run for 24 hours without needing to be emptied. I'm tempted to buy more for the front of the house that gets warmest in the summer heat. To give a comparison, we have a top of the line Trane 21 SEER ac unit in our house that keeps it nice and cool. Adding this unit to the bedroom, I can get the temp to a nice 60 degrees, wicked fast. Our power never went out during the hurricane thank goodness, but a co-workers power did. He borrowed the unit and was amazed and bought his own.

I picked up this gem of a unit as an emergency due to my home central ac burning a compressor and needless to say a new central had to be ordered so a few days were going to go by miserably with 95+ temps. Susprisingly this portable was able to be installed quite easily into my living room area and brought my home's temp down from 79 to 75 and kept it there thru the next few days. It was worth every penny and it's portability makes its future uses open to alot of possibilities. 5 star product.

Bought this when home AC failed on a weekend when temp was 98 and humidity about the same. We used it in our bedroom, about 400 sf, so we could sleep. Worked great. I had to get up at night to adjust the temp up as it got too cold! Brought that room from 90f to 72f in about 2 hours. Saved the day until house AC was fixed. I’ll keep it in the basement for next time - it was worth the $600 to be able to sleep at home and not have to go to a hotel. Works surprisingly well for its small size and is not too loud to sleep.

Owned for approx 1 month. Have had 3-4 portable AC units in my life. Last one gave out and replaced with this Honeywell. Never owned a Honeywell but saw other good reviews. No noticeable water buildup but I live in desert climate. Nice and quiet for sleeping! When placed on high fan there is no noticeable noise level change with condenser on and off, even when placed right next to the bed. Keeps the room nice and cool throughout the night. Cools room in less than 15 minutes. Happy with the purchase.

I live in the desert and it frequently gets up to 100-110 degrees in the summer. We usually use an evaporative cooler but sometimes it's too humid. So I bought this for us to use in our living room if it's especially hot and muggy. It gets cold fast. I had to have the kind that fits in a sideways sliding window and this has an adjustable insert so it fits in tight. I wish it was cheaper but honestly it's reasonable and I would buy it again.

My home is so hot in the summer time and instead of spending more money we purchase the portable air conditioner closed all the house windows and in less then 30min our entire up stairs was cooled down. Additionally it is portable which makes it that much more convenient I am able to move it from my bedroom to my front room and the vent it also very easy to assemble. Highly recommend.

Easy setup and operation. We had it running in under 10 minutes. Cooled the room fast and the noise level is quite acceptable.

I moved into a new place that had small window openings (no standard air would fit). I bought this one and it works great...I rarely have to run it above low to cool my whole apartment. I can program it to turn on mid afternoon when it starts to heat up and my dogs can be kept cool along with the apartment being cool when I get home from work!!! LOVE IT.....It's much quieter than a standard window air too!!!
