Took the dampness out of a cellar, It's humidistat setting allows it to sit idle until its needed- after a rainfall. We have it drain right into a sump pit, so we don't need to worry about emptying the container.

While it didn’t seem to be a problem, we decided to lower the humidity. The unit claims to handle up to 3000 sq ft, However, the area to be treated is less than 1500. After two weeks, the humidity is about 35%. The unit runs most of the time. I could increase the desired humidity level, which would decrease run time. I think the claimed area is an exaggeration but it works well. I am glad we chose the highest capacity unit.

It keeps my basement on the dryer side.The bucket is easy to get out and empty or you can hook the hose and drain it. Very pleased with this purchase.
