Room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency and there are ways to increase the capacity of these units. There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, the dust filter could be dirty, or the air outlet could be blocked. The unit shuld not have leaked water, unless it was being operated in extremely humid conditions.

This portable air conditioner uses Heat-Pump technology which reverses the air conditioning cooling cycle by transferring heat from the outside into the room. Heating is activated only when the ambient temperature is below 25°C (77°F). In this mode, the desired temperature can be set between 16°C- 25°C (61°F - 77°F). You may need to check the temperature in order to ascertain why the unit did not perform as expected.

DEFECTIVE unit

Worked Great the first day & then the next day the compressor will only run for 3 minutes & then the compressor shuts off & just the fan running. I have a drain line hooked up so the water can drain so that's not the problem. Now I have to go through the hassle of retuning and buying another unit.
