It finally arrived after a week and I went to put the vent piece in the window, which was about 8 inches too short. I have 2 other portable AC's and have never had this problem. I contacted the manufacturer, and had an extra piece to extend the length about a week later. We used this AC for 2 days, it worked great..day 3 at bed time my husband went to get our dogs bed and there was a puddle all over the floor. The AC was on cool mode not dry mode, so no need for draining. But, it wasn't even leaking from the plugged drain spout, it was coming out of the bottom. Needless to say I was not impressed. Definitely will not purchase this brand ever again. However, best buy was super easy with the return.

Posted .We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. The windw bracket that comes wiht the unit measures 19.7 inches and can be extended till 38.2 inches. Our units work on self evaporation and do not need to drained. Hence, there should not be any water coming out from the bottom of the unit.

Faulty product with potential fire hazard

With some research im not the only customer with this issue. I purchased the most powerful unit available with expectations to run 24/7. I have used other portable units that ran 24/7 without any issues. Within 14 days, i came home to my 15 amp surge protector (on a dedicated 20 amp circuit) tripped that it was plugged into. This was an isolated issue, i did not have a power surge. Once i turned the unit back on, the compressor was making a horrible sound, then within a few minutes the compressor would seize up, and then my surge protector tripped after 2 minutes. If i did not have this unit plugged into a secondary surge protector, it very well could of been a fire hazard. The compressor will continue to recieve power even though it has siezed. Quite an inconvenience and will stay away from honeywell products.

Disaster of a Purchase

When they used it there was leakage underneath. They didn't use it until I came to visit and checked to make sure everything was set up properly. This unit dumps gallons of water on the ground in the course of hours. Tried contacting support and still nothing back from them. I wish we would return this but we didn't try it soon enough. My mistake, I wouldn't buy this product and definitely not with Support never responding to their online form.

Unable to cool 800 square feet for more than 2 hours without needing to be drained. Unit will shut off when tank is full but leaking still occurs before the unit shuts off. Save your money.

The only problem I see it that it also is a dehumidifier. When using it if you want A/C, ,make sure it is set for A/C and not dehumidifier. Quiet for a portable unit.

I have sliding windows (very tall ones) and the part of the product that goes in the window was not tall enough (I knew this in advance of purchasing.) I had to improvise a solution, and it worked out okay!

Leaking all the time!

It was great at cooling our room, but it leaked constantly, even though we drained it often. No other air conditioner I've ever owned has leaked like this one. Water leaked through the floor to the room below. I see from other reviews that this is a frequent problem, seems like a major design flaw to me.

Awesome unit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is an amazing ac for those who are having issues with water coming out the bottom you have to read the i instructions the hose can’t be crimped and cannot be 6inches of the wall give the ac at least 2 feet on all sides make sure the hose is stretched and place and make sure it is level I had a few of the issues listed but I read the instructions and the thing is amazing I have not had to drain it in over 2 weeks it’s self evaporates
