    Works ok. As a smoker, I wouldn't buy again.

    Well, bought this in the Chicago area, so paid $300 for it out the door. Wish people who smoked reviewed this or at least people with fire places. For the first day, it seemed to do what I'd hoped for, make the apartment air fresher. Then after about a week, my wife and I noticed that walls in our entire living room, dining room and kitchen now have a light grey tint to them. As does our white painted butcher block top cabinets, table, chairs and island. Also our stove and refrigerator. Now if you run your finger on any surface, it will be black afterward. Not to mention, the "washable" filter doesn't rinse out at all. Tried many cleaning solutions, pressurized water, soaking... entire media is black and the air coming out of it doesn't seem an cleaner than the air going into it. Now we need to clean every single surface in our entire house and will probably need to repaint as there are many stories on line stating how nearly impossible it is to get walls clean after something like this has happened. The best you can do is clean it with something aggressive to remove as much smoke residue as possible and then prime/paint over it. We have since unplugged this thing (and the smaller version we bought for the office) and replaced them with a true hepa paper type forced air filter. So, my $300 "genius" purchase has cost me $600 so far and I haven't even bought all the items it's going to take cleaning and repainting! If you have allergies, don't smoke and don't have a fireplace, then give this a shot. It is pretty quiet on it's medium setting while moving quite a bit of air, nearly inaudible at it's lowest setting.

    Extremely Expensive Tower Fan!

    I purchased this from Best Buy 2 weeks ago for $179.99, used it for one week and took it back for a refund before the 15 day return policy was up. I noticed absolutely no difference in air quality and the filter didn't have a speck on it. That's way too much money for an oscillating tower fan. I smoke in my home and have 2 indoor cats. I placed the unit in my living room, per instructions 3 feet from the wall and not quite 3 feet from "my spot" on the couch, which is about 2 feet from where one of my cats' beds is. I ran it constantly, night and day, for 4 days, on high at night and medium or low the rest of the time. After running for 4 days and noticing no change in the air, I removed the cover and checked the filters, as clean as when I put them in the unit. Since my living room is 18x16 and can't be completely closed off from the rest of the house, I thought perhaps the unit was too small for the room and moved it into my bedroom. I let it run in there for 3 days with no noticeable change. Filter remained clean as a whistle. My opinion is that if the filter didn't show anything after running for a week in my house, it's not really filtering or purifying the air. I didn't need a tower fan.

    Nothing but a glorified fan

    I cannot believe the great reviews other people have given this thing. I ran the thing on high for 3 straight weeks. Not a bit of difference. The air didn't feel any cleaner, neither my wife nor I had any improvement in our allergies, and the filter had almost nothing in it. Just as much dust was in the bedroom, just as much dog hair, no difference at all. I'm returning the super expensive fan tomorrow. There's obviously no shortcuts to air purification. If you really want it, you need to pay real money to have a real unit installed by a professional.

Our AirGenius line works best when the permanent ifD filter is used with either the permanent washable prefilter or the odor reducing prefilter.     This is the first air cleaner/oder reducer I have purchased. I went for a higher priced product thinking "you get what you pay for." I am so disappointed. This is just a high priced fan, and it insults a fan by not being one that produces a lot of air. I don't think my expectations are too lofty thinking I would see a reduction in dust particles on surfaces and expect to find the filter has captured it. Still waiting...still looking...

    smells like new car

    I am unable to use the Air purifier ODOR REDUCER because it lets off a strong new car odor that quickly filled the room . I put it on the deck for 2 days and ran it hoping it would air out. I called the customer service for Honey well they told me to air it out when I told him what I had done and that it still smelled he said I must be allergic to ozone ?? Big disappointment [weeks later still smells... a bit less; I don't use it]

    The chemical off-gassing of this machine made the breathing environment worse than what we started with!! I kept running it for 2 days, thinking it would get better---it is an air purifier, after all, but it did not. We could not tolerate it and had to return it. We found that a simple box fan with a furnace filter attached to the back worked far better and never put offensive chemical smell into the air.

    Fan makes tink noises, something is rubbing inside

    This fan was purchased January 2018, basically ran until now, and it's making awful noises. Especially when oscillating, I guess I'm past the return period so I'm stuck with a broken $150 fan...... AND the lights on top don't turn off, so I just have to leave a shirt over them at night. The non-oscillating short fat model is much better, I have this unit at work....

    Ozone Factory

    I am not sure that this thing is actually an air purifier. From what I could tell it just made ozone. More ozone than I had smelled in my 28 years of life. I set it to the lowest setting in my small bedroom (I live with my mom, cheaper that way) as left for dinner. When I got back the entire floor reeked of ozone. I used to love that smell. Needless to say I returned it the next day.

    This particular unit did not work for me. When used, it had a strong smell of plastic, which was the opposite of what I was looking for. It was not only me, but others could smell the odor as well. At almost the same time, I bought one for my son. He likes his unit very much.

    After less than a year, it is terrible. It does not filter any better than you taking a box fan and putting a furnace filter on it. It is all marketing hype, stick with a true HEPA filter if you want something such as dust to be filtered.

    Less than 2 years old, and I now have two of these that the control panel is broken. To get warranty service, I must pay to ship them out and enclose a check for $10 more for handling.

    Ran great for 2 weeks and then had a motor problem. Best Buy said to call Honeywell. Took 3 weeks to get a prepaid return label.It's now on it's way to Texas. When will I get a new one , who knows !!!!
