Great Dehumidifier

I am not sure how accurate the humidity gauge is - the one on the unit shows the humidity as being higher than on my free standing one, but that is not an issue. Once I figure out which is more accurate, I can adjust the setting on the dehumidifier accordingly if it turns out my free standing humidistat is more accurate.

I like the pump because it means I don't have a hose to trip over going into the floor drain.

You may need to check the level of desired humidity in the area you are operating the unit in, in order to ascertain why the it kept shutting off. Thee coud be multiple reasosns for the pump to not work 1.) The Auto Drain Pump Cap has been removed, and the Auto Drain Pump Tube has been installed properly. 2.) There may be sediments inside the Direct Drain Outlet, jamming the tube. 3.) The Direct Drain Outlet is lower than the drain hole, and the drain distance is more than 5 meters. 4.) The Drain Pump has been disabled. Pump lasted a week, not worth the price.

It worked great for a week then pump failure with constant E5 trouble code also indicated P1 (tank full). Manually emptied tank but Red light on control panel indicated tank full so it would not run. No where did the owners manual tell me that to reset Tank full light, P1, and E5 required me to unplug dehumidifier to reset codes and light. Tank full should be reset by emptying tank and properly re-inserting tank. Repeated everything twice more with same trouble codes. Best Buy issued full refund.

The Pump Is A Fail

It dehumidifies pretty well but the bucket isn't sturdy enough to be emptied a few tiems each day during the summer, so I expect that it won't last too long into next summer. Overpriced considering it doesn't work properly.

Wonderful dehumidifier

The water went into a bucket on that unit and it had to be emptied often. This Honeywell unit is great!!! It is quiet and does a fantastic job of keeping the basement air dry. No musty smell when we return home from a week away. AND the pump works well. I run the drain hose to a floor drain about 15 feet from the unit. No musty smell anytime. It is light weight and the handle makes it easy to move around.

The only issue was that there is no user manual included and I had to download one. Beware that if you use the vertical pump, you need to have the unit set in "continuous" mode. The warranty is nice, and I also have Total Tech from Geek Squad to protect the unit.

Vertical pump does not work!

While the pump was o.k. for pumping into a drain, it completely failed to pump up and over the window unto the back yard. I returned the first, but the replacement did the same thing.

Passed the test. Part one.

Riverside home, in an unheated closed in summer porch and winter showed up. It was a real test. It passed! Keep an eye on the fill, it lasted, but does shut off when full. the basement and hose test will be next when the season changes and it goes into the basement
