Reduced daily energy usage at home by over 25%. The only downside and reason for 4 stars was it took multiple attempts to connect to home network. Once it did it was worth the effort. Electric company has web site showing your daily electric usage and once I had thermostat set to turn off automatically after I left for work and come on before I returned home, daily energy dropped by more than 25%. Recouped cost of thermostat in 2 months.

Had to get a new HVAC system and upgraded to this as my AC guy recommended Honeywell. Works great!

It is fairly simple to set-up. Has scheduling ability plus you can control it from anywhere in the house or accross the country if you have an internet connection. It has been easy to use and works just like advertised. Now it does take a little time for it to respond or receive the commands and sometimes the app does not respond immediately but eventualy it does (after closing the app and restarting it); thus 4 stars not 5.

I had trouble with two earlier purchases of Honeywell RTH 9585 programmable wi-fi thermostats. One read the room temperature 9 degrees high, and the other read it 13 degrees low! Honeywell confirmed that these were defective. I bought this RTH6580WF as a "last try" with Honeywell, and it works exactly the way it should.

it was easy to install, easy to download the app, and easy to pair with Alexa app.

Had some trouble installing because I blew a fuse as I was installing (make sure you turn off all the power before installing - I had the wrong fuse shut off). After that snafu, all has been good since. The app is very easy to use. I also purchased the more expensive touchscreen unit and put them both on the app - this one does everything the other one does at half the price. I'm very happy with this unit and definitely recommend - why spend the extra money when you have a good app?

We had an old standard thermostat that only worked part of the time. This is a great upgrade for our home! Works great!

This thermostat is exactly what I was looking for and it was half the price of other wifi thermostats. I immediately bought it because of that. I read through the description and made sure it was 24v and it is. I got it today and was so excited. I went to hook it up and it turns out it needs a common/constant feed from the burner to work. (called a "c" wire). It says NO WHERE on the description on the website that it needs this. I never would have bought it. I rent a house and cannot (and will not) ask the landlord to put one in. It DOES say on the box but it's very vague at that and I made sure to contact Honeywell and tell them. I've worked in a hardware store for 25 years and lived on Long Island my entire life and have put programmable thermostats in every single place I've lived (about 10 now) and never once did a house have a "c" wire. Sadly I will be returning this. I love technology and was excited to have a wifi thermostat that was affordable for me (albeit on credit card lol), but now that dream is gone...... (ps... Lux makes one called the Geo, and it's $140 and it does not need a C wire, you can run it on 2 AA Lithium batteries. Too bad Honeywell doesn't have one and I have suggest that to them too).

I purchased this thermostat after two Google Nest thermostats went bad. Haven't had any issues with this Honeywell thermostat. I like being able to adjust this thermostat with my phone app when going on vacations.

Works well. Easy to install and program. Great product.
