Their website will ship one for free but takes nearly a week, so I opted to purchase this through Best Buy. I am not one to install things myself but the directions were very easy to follow and saved me a lot of time and money by not having to pay anyone to come out and install the thermostat.
I would recommend this to a friend price great but seek a professional for oil heat

Excellant anmd quick shipping but never opened so i dont know how it works. unfortunately, I could not use this item. I have an oil heating system and it is not compatable by which i mean, it will cost me hundreds to have this one piece installed on to my heating unit which i was told would need wires modified to it. This is not an simple attach to wires type of thing and I reccomend you speaking to a professional before purchasing or be stuck with something that now cant be used and its too late to return.

It looks strange to have an external adapter outside the thermostat and just for generating a C wire from other 4 wires.

For those older Furnaces.....

Fairly simple to install if you have good access to your Furnace. I have a furnace that is over 20 years old and didn't have a C-wire. Just had to match up the color wires to the right terminals.
