Good thermostat. It has schedule modes where you can set temps to where you want them at specific times of the day for each day of the week. Nice clean sleek look.

I've had this for a little over a month and it works well. I especially like when I'm coming home early, I can open the app when I get in the car and tell it to start cooling down the house and by the time I get home, it's cool. It's pretty intuitive to operate. The documentation isn't complete, but that's probably because the thermostat's software updates automatically, but Honeywell could do a better job of keeping the online documentation updated and go a little more in-depth. Don't be intimidated about installing it yourself if you can use a screwdriver. I was a little leery of buying this and installing it because I'm not Mr DIY, but I'm intelligent and I was going from a Honeywell just a few years old to a Honeywell, and it didn't look that complicated. When it arrived and I began reading the instructions and it said to take a picture of wiring of the old thermostat and label the wires with the included stickers. Then on the new thermostat just connect them to the terminals with the same letters. Then I continued reading the instructions and got intimidated. It started in if you have an air pump do this, if you have a gas furnace do that, connect this loop and be sure you have something else. Actually, I found that if they had just said to connect the wires to the same terminals as on the old thermostat (the new thermostat will have more terminals than you need to accommodate other configurations) and stopped there, that's all most people would probably need to do. They could have said if it doesn't work, then here are more details that will help and they would be there. I also read in other reviews that Honeywell's tech support is extremely helpful but I didn't need them. My advice is not to worry and give it a try. It's much easier than it looks.

This Honeywell unit only took me 30 minutes to connect it was super simple and easy to use and not much is needed to get this going everything is given to you inside the Box. Other than some know-how and a screwdriver using the labels is highly recommended so that you can remember what needs to be connected first and to what labeling. Hooking up to the Wi-Fi was super simple. The touch screen is nice and elegant looking has a nice glow at night. I highly recommend this for a person that's looking to upgrade their current heating unit controls or if you looking to help benefit from the cost savings this is the unit you're looking for. I also like that when I'm away I could control the heating unit and also get updates on how the house is going weather wise humidity and Heat.

Installed thermostat a week ago with no issues whatsoever so far. Instructions are good but if you are not familiar with the wiring differences I recommend downloading the instructions from their website. More detailed information is provided, also read and understand before attempting a self installation.

So no complaints about the thermostat itself BUT this thermostat is NOT compatible with a fuel fuel system!! Your power bill will sky rocket because your heat pump will run constantly. However, for a regular system this thermostat has all the bells! The Wi-Fi,app to control while away, ability to schedule the temps for certain times during the day etc. You can also change your screen color. Installation was easy as well. The customer service is excellent when calling in. The app is extremely user friendly. Our power company even offers rebates for this unit and a program to Cut coat (Duke Energy).

I really like this thermostat. It has a very sleek look and the background colors can be changed to match any room. The WiFi connectivity is a plus. You get weather information and can access the thermostat remotely. If you are replacing an older thermostat, without a touch screen, chances are that this thermostat will be slightly smaller so you may have to do some wall patching and painting. Word of caution: if your current thermostat is older in an older home, you may have to take some additional steps when it comes to the wiring. In my case, I did not have the wiring in place to power the touchscreen. I had to go down to the basement and move some of the wiring around at the actual heating/cooling unit. The instruction booklet provided will guide you through the very easy process and an extra wire is provided. I have no wiring experience whatsoever. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION. If not comfortable with this process, hire a professional. I gave the unit 4 stars because the touchscreen tends to be a bit non-responsive. You have to press certain buttons on the screen a few times before anything happens. However, this is something I am willing to overlook since I control my unit mostly through my phone and the unit itself is very nice. One last thing, if you install the thermostat and notice that your heating/cooling unit does not come on right away, you have to wait at least 5min for everything to start working. Most heating/cooling units have a feature that keeps them from starting up right away to prevent burning out.

I looked at all of the popular thermostats, but they really didn't do anything for me. I wanted a smart thermostat, but I still wanted the classic look. This took care of both. It was very easy to set up and the guide was user friendly. I love being able to control the temperature from anywhere. You also receive a monthly usage report that is informative. Plus, Honeywell is a reliable company. So happy with my decision.

Works like a charm and easy to install and set up. I was originally given a Gen 2 Nest by a friend, but it apparently wasn't compatible with my hvac for some odd reason. Bought the Honeywell and it performs great. Even looks better than the Nest and is easier to navigate versus turning a dial. Very happy with the purchase!

Bought this when we moved into our home and it's okay. Nothing special. I actually preferred our Google Nest because our kids have basement bedrooms and I could put sensors in their rooms to control the temp with. I wish this had the option for additional sensors throughout the house so I could monitor their rooms more closely and base the thermostat on their room temps versus upstairs. I do like that it has an app although it's very basic and outdated. It does what it needs to do and has a nice clean display so overall, I would rate it an average 3 stars

Really quick to install (make sure your system has a C wire, or be prepared to buy a $30 adapter!). Setting up took less than 15 minutes, including app download. After booking it up, had fun messing around with the settings. Tons of personalization options to have your HVAC system exactly how you want it. Now... to get some paint to cover the spot where the old $5 thermostat was...

I like this thermostat and it was easy to install. They look great on the wall and the neutral silver/gray frame matches pretty well and you can change the screen color to almost any shade and you can match the walls pretty close if you want to do that or just choose your favorite color. It works well with the app but it is a little limited when using it with Alexa. The skill that Honeywell wrote for the Alexa has a few things that are not as intuitive as they could be. I am also told there are things you can't do with voice but I haven't found anything yet. If you want the heat higher just say make it higher, lower then ask for lower. You can do what you can do by walking over to the thermostat on the wall so I guess that's what you need. I do have one other complaint and I am awaiting customer service to address the issue. The screen sometimes go to bright white even though I have it set to green. When it's in bright white it also doesn't dim so in the middle of the night there is a bright light streaming into my bedroom from the thermostat. You have to go to it and touch it and it is fixed, goes right back to green then dims in a few seconds. Small glitch but a little annoying. Still better than my old thermostats by a wide margin!!

This thermostat, installed by Best Buy's able contractor, is SO much better than the older programmable Honeywell it replaced. This works with Alexa AND doesn't use batteries as the older one did. And I can view and adjust the temperature with my smart phone! Also, I don't need a course in programming to program this; Honeywell has made this one logical, which their older one was not. As it's powered by the low-voltage system, it has a nice 'glow' for a background which can be changed in color! Also, my energy supplier rebate caused my final cost be half!

We had it installed professionally by our HVAC guy due to needing to crawl the crawl space upstairs for access to the equipment. Done very quickly. Works flawlessly. Exactly what we wanted to access the heat/AC via phone app. I adjust the heat/AC at any moment & easily change schedule, temp, fan settings without a second thought. Glad we found it & got it on sale! Recommend if you want a simple, smart version of an older, previous Honeywell thermostat.

OK, this item was returned. The adapter base was supposed to be the same as the older model ... nope, it wasn't so I had to go and get the older model. With that said - the unit itself is excellent. I had used the old one for about 5 years or more and love it. It ended not being the problem so I still have the older unit. Only "problem" is this unit doesn't link up with thermostats in different rooms - only this one unit. However, it works great online with me changing my temperature settings from Amsterdam, Ukraine, and many points in between! It works. It looks good. And it has staying power with me using it for a long time now! There IS a difference between the new and old versions - READ UP and see which version fits your desired information level on the thermostat AND decide if you want to have a "meshed" temperature system in your house - this doesn't support that system but Honeywell does have a new system that does.

good looking, compact and easy to use. only issue is we have a two stage compressor and this model does not allow for optimal efficiency. also, I have a wine room with a sensor and this model does nit support a sensor so I couldnt use it for that room.
