I have no complaints whatsoever. We did not install it ourselves only because I put it in the same time we were replacing our entire unit but I watched as it was installed. Seemed to me a quick and easy install. I set it up and connected to our Alexa devices. I love being able to adjust the temperature from anywhere in the house. The room sensor has also been a great addition to help keep our entire house at the right temperatures. I definitely recommend this thermostat!

Works as advertised. Pros: - Looks good - Very adjustable - VERY easy to use - Mobile ready with the Residio app - Supports 2.4 and 5 GHz - Price: At the physical store, I was able to get it at a clearance price. Blew my mind. Cons: - New dimension vs old devices leaves you doing patch and paint work. --- to be expected of most new devices -App and device linking was not intuitive --- NOTE: follow the prompts on the app without fail and you will be able to get the device linked no problem. It just did not seem intuitive. Somewhat related: Best Buy's Total Tech is totally worth it. It has saved me a considerable amount of time and money. Highly recommended.

I don't leave many product reviews, but felt compelled to offer one for this product so that others can make an informed decision. To give some insight, I have a single unit with a zone controller to support three floors. That means each floor has it's own thermostat. Pretty efficient as temperature is adjusted only for the active thermostat and air flow is specifically directed to that floor. I was using two thermostats from my previous home that I used for years by 3M that worked okay, but were starting to show age. I was also faced with having to purchase another thermostat for the third floor which had a basic Honeywell thermostat, and if I wanted consistency, would have to buy the 3M model which again, the platform is showing its age. I noticed the T9 on sale at Best Buy and decided to order 3 of them. The plan was to install one, and if I didn't like, return the open and unopened units. Installation was pretty easy. If you are comfortable with, and understand the wiring to a small degree, you will have no issue. The AC/furnace unit in my home is just now reaching 3 years old, so the C-wire issue was not a problem. But if it was, simply checking and making note of the wires leading from your unit helps. They generally connect to a board inside that is labeled with letters and colors that you will find mentioned in the included directions and on the wiring panel for the thermostat. Don't guess or be unsure with this part. Use your phone to take a picture of the existing wiring connections on the old thermostat before removing anything. After installing the first unit and starting it up, I was amazed at it being user-friendly. I'm an IT guy, but I look at things as if I asked one of my kids to do it. It was pretty straightforward. Connecting the sensor and app were not an issue. After how the first one went in, I went all in and installed the other two. I placed the sensors in the problem areas that I wanted to address, connected everything to the app, and was off and running. On each floor, there is a room that is just not quite right from the area where the thermostat is. These areas are where I placed sensors. In a few hours time, I noticed a difference in the run time of the AC unit and how it felt in my home between floors. I even noticed a difference with the problem areas. The active room feature is great! I have a guest room on the first floor that is not used often. But if the sensor senses motion, it alerts the main thermostat which begins to factor in overall temp and runs the unit accordingly. I've since set all three thermostats to act in the same way. Right now I couldn't be happier with this feature. The app allows me to control all three floors and integrated nicely within the app. I can even copy over set schedules between thermostats. The sensors show their temps also in the app, although I wish I was able to offset the temp reading from these devices besides just the thermostats themselves. I used a separate temp gauge to make sure each thermostat was reading accurately by placing in each area. That's how I noticed I couldn't offset the sensor readings. The sensors are not off by much, just a degree or less. With that a number of other factors could be in play (room placement, etc.) so it hasn't been enough for me to worry about. Lastly, I enjoy how the thermostats are easy to read from a distance with a glance. Blue or orange numbers shows cooling or heating mode, blue or orange background means that the thermostat is active and making a call to the unit for cooling or heating. Plain LCD numbers mean the thermostat is set to OFF. A system drawback I have is that I would be unable to use the Auto function in my home. If one unit was to call for heat, it would lock out the other units calling for cool, as it should. This in no way is the fault of the thermostat, but something to be aware of if you plan to install multiple thermostats and look to use the Auto feature. In all, easy installation and so far a great product. I would certainly recommend. Alexa integration is spot on as well.

I needed a thermostat that I could control with an app from anywhere. I had a manually programmable one, but it was annoying because my schedule was inconsistent and I was constantly overriding or reprogramming (which was a pain and had to be done on the controller, itself). The new unit was easy to install (only confusion was the red wire R, Rc or Rh). I only had one in Rc with a jumper to R. The instructions mentioned jumpers regarding the old thermostat but didn’t specifically mention jumpers for the new. Turned out that a slider switch acted as the jumper, so just plugged my red wire into R on the new unit and it worked. Controlling the temp from anywhere/anytime is now a breeze!

Installed very easy on my basic 5 wire setup, connected right away to 2.4 GHz WiFi and the Honeywell home app. I previously had the older Honeywell 6580 tstat that used the total comfort app and prefer this new Honeywell home app as it has a cleaner look, is still very intuitive to use and has performed flawlessly. I read some reviews complaining that it is too bright at night but it really is pretty dim at 10% backlight and can be turned completely off at 0% if desired (just have to tap the screen to wake it up, I don’t think it has a motion sensor, at least not to turn on the backlight). It also has separate day and night backlight settings that you can adjust both the brightness and times for each.

Super easy to install and use. This does need a C-wire to work, and it's great that they include a C-wire adapter if your furnace doesn't have a C-wire terminal. The remote room sensor is awesome because you can prioritize the temperature in that room as opposed to where the thermostat is located. It hits the target temperature without overshooting it all the time and it has this feature where it'll be at a set temperature by the set time, instead of turning on the heat/AC at the set time. Overall highly recommended

So glad I went with this one over Ecobee and other brands. This has been a reliable unit that installed quickly and easily. The wiring of my previous unit was actually done incorrectly, but the instructions that came with this made it easy to fix. Stable connection and works reliably. Also, I love that I can have both the heat and AC unit working in tandem…just like the auto temp in my car. Highly recommend.

This is a decent entry level thermostat. I am renting a house and needed a Smart Thermostat with a sensor to help level out the temperature ion the house. This one does the job. I would say that installation was overall easy and operation is somewhat easy. I have had a Nest in the past and would say that if you are looking for a "learning" thermostat, then this one is not the best option. However, for what I needed, this one works perfectly.

LOVE this thermostat. Of course, we upgraded from something that looked like it was from 1970’s, so it’s easy to be happy. However, install was straightforward - did it myself in about an hour. The interface is great, and app is easy to use. Was simple to set up with Alexa. Geofencing feature is cool, but we may not use it since it links to my cell phone and sometimes my husband is home with the kids when I’m not. Highly recommend!

My home has two thermostats and I was constantly adjusting them to get the temperatures right in the house. With the T9, I am now able to set temperatures based on the rooms in the house that are most important. Works even better at night because I can just have it maintain a comfortable temperature for the bedrooms that are occupied. The setup was very easy since my old system was also Honeywell. The app is also good.

I purchased the T9 with a Smart room sensor for my parents home. It installed easily and I can monitor it from my phone. I especially like that the room sensor can be configured to control the furnace by its temp instead of the main unit on the wall. This works best for their 2 story home. I also got a $100 rebate on the unit from Comed.

Our builder installed a basic Honeywell thermostat so the wiring was already in place with the standard Honeywell socket. That made installation incredibly easy as I just swapped out. The app and connection to Alexa means I never have to go to the thermostat to make changes if I don't want to. Great features for the price with ability to add more zones if I ever want to.

My handyman suggested this after reviewing our older wires system. This was very easy to install and matched up with the older wires (worked with additional wire saver). It works as it says. Extra remote temperature reader is very useful as we can control the temperature separately for upstair bedrooms.

Please read this when installing this thermostat: The T9 uses a "C wire" and will require the INCLUDED adapter to be installed on the AC control panel (hint: inside the furnace) if a C wire is not already available when removing the old thermostat (to identify it think C for Cerulean). Once the wire situation is sorted out installation is a breeze when following the included instructions booklet. 3 drywall anchors and screws are included for mounting. Recommend setting the fan to circulate (the fan will run for approximately 20 mins per hour) to eliminate hot spots in the house and keep a consistent temperature throughout. Reminder: if connecting to Alexa, have her "discover devices" prior to expecting her to control it right off the bat. She will identify it as the name you assign during the setup
