We had two rooms in our house that stayed about 3-5 degrees warmer than all others. AC repairmen tried installing extra vents and returns. We even added attic insulation and trimmed the bottom of doors to improve return air flow, but nothing worked. Using these smart room sensors and setting priority on those rooms fixed the problem and we now have control of temp from our phones or Amazon Alexa!

Not only is it very helpful to have a new thermostat that saves a family money on their heating / cooling bills, this one came with perfect, easy to understand directions on how to install it, In addition, the secondary sensor to track the home temperature more evenly throughout the entire house makes it a more even temperature throughout.

I upgraded from another Honeywell Thermostat because this one has the ability to use sensors in multiple rooms to determine what temperature to use and since I spend a lot of time in my office upstairs in the warmer part of the house and the thermostat is downstairs it has been hard to get the temperature right. This does it well. Also I love the geofencing which works great!

Love the ability to control from app! Geofencing is nice but not everyone wants another app taking up storage so trying to work around that function. Also in a new build and HVAC froze so system wasn't responding so wish app could've notified me (other than not responding) with some kind of self diagnosis but when it is working it is great.

Needed to even out/balance the heating in two different rooms. This is the simplest and most efficient way to achieve even balance today in both rooms. Installation straightforward and Uncomplicated. I would recommend this product for anyone meeting to achieve similar results.

Definitely helps me save on energy use. Also great for finding out where more insulation or other measures can be used to control temps. Was easy to install. Only issue is with the geofencing. Everything I do is close to my house so it always thinks I'm home.

Love this thermostat. Tried Ecobee and Nest and hated them. Honeywell works so much better. Keeps temperature where I set it. Easy to scheduled, easy to do a one time change.

The remote thermostat works great, needed to correct an issue with the wired thermostat location. Placed the remote thermostat in master bedroom to balance the temp while sleeping with door closed. Easy to install and app works great. Will by a second unit for the other side of house.

I now have three of these running on my three-zone HVAC residential system (2-stage heat, 2-stage cool). They work flawlessly with this system. Competing Nest and Ecobee thermostats were not compatible with my multi-zone, multi-stage system. Plus, the Honeywell T-9 also has the ability to add remote sensors, which are battery powered and transmit wirelessly to the thermostat. I highly recommend these thermostats. Other reviews have complained about the Honeywell app not being very good. It isn't the best in the world, but I didn't find it to be terrible. The Ecobee app and web interface is no better, in my opinion. Also, these thermostats are a great deal if you can get an instant rebate from the utility. Finally, I have to praise Best Buy for this purchase experience. It was fast and flawless. Delivery was faster than all online competition, including the big guys (Amazon and Wal-Mart), even during Christmas and a pandemic. Kudos to Best Buy order fulfilment and delivery service!

Product did not work for me personally because the design. Recently had the nest thermostat and had had a crack so I wanted to switch it up. Only to find out that the holes from the nest installation were visible with the Honeywell because there is no back plate Perfect touch screen. Would suggest to others.

Easy to install, nice look to display screen. App easy to use and works well with Alexa. Only drawback is that there is a delay for the system to turn on. For instance it will take 5 minutes to start to cool when you turn on.

We needed a new air conditioning unit and I decided to upgrade to a smart thermostat at the same time. The guys installing it said it was easy to install although they did have to run an additional line of some kind for it. It was very easy to set up to use with the Honeywell Home app and with Alexa.

It works great and controls my 2 heat one cool heat pump very well for now. It has a minor issue which is it sometimes disconnects with wifi and cannot reconnects automatically. My other smart devices work fine, so I guess it is T9's problem, which I am still trying to figure out.

Easy set up, easy to use and does a great job in our home for making sure the temperature is consistent throughout the house with the sensors in place. The touchscreen features are really nice. Ease of use comes to mind with this fantastic thermostat.

Coming from an Ecobee 3, I first tried the Ecobee with Voice Control and was unable to get it to work with the wiring in my apartment. I purchased this unit because the main thing I liked about the Ecobee was the ability to be able to both detect when someone's in a room and to be able to detect that the occupied room is at the comfort setting. The frustrations start with the app and development. Honeywell has two different platforms for these thermostats -- Honeywell's Total Connect Comfort and Honeywell Home App and these two apps seemingly aren't connected in any way. When trying to program my Harmony remote to be able to work with the Honeywell, it only functions with the Total Connect Comfort which I could not get my thermostat to work with. Furthermore, I could not enroll my thermostat into the energy savings program with my local energy company because there's an issue with the Resideo website (yet ANOTHER Honeywell interface tied to these thermostats) where even though everything is filled out it says a required field is not completed. The Honeywell app also lacks the polish of competitors, both in interface and reporting. I'd love to see Honeywell come up with ONE INTERFACE for everything. The experience so far feels messy and disjointed like they're still trying to figure out how to merge these different sources into one and we're the beta testers stuck in the middle of it all. Comparably, Ecobee has had one app from day one. The app is very polished. Reporting is also very polished (although I liked the Nest's way of telling you how many leaves you earned and how much more energy efficient you were than your neighbors). Connecting both Nest and Ecobee to my energy provider was seamless and worked the first time without hoops. Nest's geofencing feature was terrible. Ecobee and Honeywell have an ace up the sleeve in the sense that they can also leverage the room sensors to provide faster reaction than the geofencing. For those who've used geofencing it's not always instant. It would also be nice to see Honeywell spend more time in the design department. When you look at the Nest and Ecobee, both are much more sleek and modern-looking than this.

I like that I can save the temperature for another room when it gets too hot with the second thermostat. Geo features kind a nice too.

Great thernostat, easy to setup and manage. Setup is preferred on iOS devices. Had issues using My android.

you need to have one of this in your life I have being saving money with this product
