Originally purchased for our bedroom, but even in the lowest setting, it is just too loud. I purchased a Pure Enrichment PureZone Air Purifier for the bedroom and it is whisper quiet. It also has a UV-C light that is supposed to kill germs. So - the Honeywell is fine for a room where you don’t mind the background noise. But, between the UV-C bulb and the sound levels, I would probably get a PureZone instead.

Posted .It is normal for this unit to make some noise as the unit uses a fan, however, we would not expect this unit to be loud. If the unit is running loud, we'd like to look further into this. I would run it all night in my bedroom and I could tell a difference right away. Really helped to minimize congestion and watery eyes.

However I looked up reviews and similar products and found this for half the price, twice the quality and the filters were 1/4 of the price of dyson.
