Had to replace an 8 yr old Kenmore dehumidifier, so found this Honeywell on the Best Buy site at a fair price. I noticed that it was Smart enabled, so that piqued my interest a little more. Got it home, and within 30 min, I had it out of the box, running, on my home network wifi, and app set up on my phone. I like that it shows current humidity, unlike my Kenmore that only showed target humidity setting. I also like that the humidity reading is both on the front and top of the unit. It has a handle that makes it easy to move in areas where I can't use the casters. Drain hose included so I can set up for continuous operation. Finally, the app is pretty straight forward, you can adjust humidity settings, monitor current humidity, turn on/off, set timer, and automate control of multiple devices if you have them. Have not tried the voice controlled option. Only hiccup is that I cannot get the app to set location on my phone. Very satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased when on sale much needed device for my home. dehumidifier works very well. Downside I could not get the app to work (returned before I had a chance to really try), I assumed since it was continuous drain that it would do so, it does not there is no pump on this model. in my home I was emptying the bin twice a day at least. so if continuous drain is what you are looking for do not choose this model.

I purchased this unit to replace a defective 11yr old dehumidifier used in my basement. This is an upgrade from the previous system. I have been using Smart Wi-Fi enabled devices around the house for the last 4 years. This unit can be turned on or off with Google Home. The Honeywell app allows you to change set point and schedule. The unit works well so far in this application and runs quiet.

We purchased this "open box" & it is incredible. Quiet, programmable, holds a ton of water & easy to use. The continuous drain hose is easy & convenient as well. If you need a dehumidifier, this should be your 1st choice.

This dehumidifier was super easy to hook up and began dropping the humidity in our large lower level recreation room immediately. It is quieter than our last unit. We use the drain function with a long hose and never have to empty it. It keeps our space at the humidity level we choose and gives us peace of mind. We recommend this highly.

Replacing a 40 year old Kenmore ... this is so quiet and efficient! Hope it lasts as long! The wifi is a cool addition, too

Very good dehumidifier. Works wonders in my basement and also comes with a self draining tube. Free app, unit can be controlled from your phone! Must have if you have humid basements.

I have a damp house- humidity was running in the 60% range in the summer. I had been researching on a good dehumifier on Amazon, but ended up visiting Best Buy and making a choice among the brands they had on stock. Luckily one of them was this Honeywell model that I remembered had good reviews on Amazon. I bought it and have been very pleased with its performance so far. It serves as a whole-house dehumidifier, and it is working well so far. It is a little on the loud side; it sounds like a window air conditioning unit, but after a while it becomes white noise that I no longer notice. The instructions say to initially set the unit to 30% and let it work its way to that point. It is supposed to reach that in a few days, but it has never gotten to that-- the best it has reached is 39%. But I'm still satisfied with that. I live in the South where high humidity is really bad. Right now, the reading upstairs is about 41%, which is amazing, I think, for August. The water capturing reservoir is large, so we only empty it out about 3 times a day. There is an option to hook it up to a hose, but we like the portability of wheeling it wherever we think it will best serve its purpose. The unit beeps two or three times when the reservoir is full, and it also notifies me on my phone! I love that feature!

I had to make a decision for a dehumidifier in the car in the parking lot for cleanup after a basement leak. Basically, 5 minutes for research. But, based on the reviews (mostly positive) and the features, got this one. So far, so great - I love this machine especially with the wifi. Got an alert at 3am that the tank was full and happen to be up so I emptied it to keep it going. Also, I added the Geek Squad protection in case it breaks down too.

Perfect for our 1000 sq ft basement. I like being able to select my humidity percentage. Easy to use. Drains right into our floor drain so I never have to empty the tank. Not too loud. I’ve not connected it to WiFi so I can’t comment on that feature.

Purchased this smart dehumidifier to keep the moisture levels down in our Master Bathroom and its walk-in closet. At first we thought the 4000 sq ft would be overkill, but it appears to be right-sized for our usage. Our bathroom and closet always seemed humid, not now. Now we are emptying the dehumidifier's bucket daily and the air is definitely less humid. The physical size is not too big, but it is something which we need to walk around. The WiFi connectivity is a nice (but not required) feature. I like it because i can monitor & set the dehumidifier remotely (not just when I am in the same room) Our house does not have a basement, but for someone who does, I feel they would need to place it near a drain and use the included hose (verses the bucket) to send the collected moisture down a drain. The bucket would fill too often and need emptying daily. <sigh> Though our central AC is supposed to reduce moisture, it really doesn't effectively clear high moisture rooms. Maybe someday they will design homes where the Master Bathrooms have build-in or dedicated space for dehumidifiers.

I love my dehumidifier! I use it in my basement, and it works perfectly to keep mold away and everything dry, even during the super humid summer months. It’s efficient, easy to use, and makes a huge difference in air quality. Highly recommend it for anyone dealing with humidity issues!

When I initially grabbed this, I got it for both the wireless control ability and the supposed noise levels. Initially when turning it on, it seemed a surprisingly quiet level even with the compressor going. I have a 1500 sq foot ranch, so I always have dehumidifiers in the basement for things stored down there. But the previous one I had was getting REALLY annoying to the point where it was distracting even when we were upstairs. At night if the compressor was going, it could be ridiculously loud. This was designed for a space 3 or more times as large as my 1500 sq foot basement, so I figured it should work fine. I wish they used non-corrugated little drain hoses, since past experience shows me that those little spots where water can collect often can get gunky and nasty. A smooth hose would be SO much better. I'm going to look through some of the old ones I had laying around to see if I can find a better hose. App connected fine, and control seems good. What I really appreciated was the accuracy of the sensor. I have a very good hygrometer downstairs, and even other hygrometers and most humidifiers were wildly inaccurate. This one was spot on. Seems to be doing well, keeping my basement in the high 40's without being so unbearably loud that it's annoying like the other ones all were. Hopefully it stays that way, but already I hear it a bit more than I did at first, so I'm wondering if this, too, will eventually grow a bit louder like all the rest... Time will tell.

This dehumidifier runs quiet and does a great job of keeping the basement air dry. Buttons are easy to operate and you can set it up to continually drain and not have to empty it as long as you have a drain in the floor. I feel like it was a good value for the price.

This is my third dehumidifier purchase in 6 years. This unit has a five year warranty on the sealed system, which rarely goes bad, it is usually parts like fan blades or sensors, which will not be covered with the 5 yr warranty that go out. This unit works great, is much quieter than others I have owned, and seems to be more solidly constructed compared to the others.

Can’t think of any good reason for why we waited so long to buy this. We were miserable in the rented apartment during the Philly summers. We feel significantly more comfortable inside. This machine pulls a ton of water from the air. I wish the hose was longer and that it had a pump for the water too.

Simple to use, quieter than most. The compressor in particular is very quiet. Got the Alexa version, but don't use it so runs as the Non-Alexa version. I very much dislike the fact that the fan runs all the time. I believe the fan should shut off when the compressor shuts off, or have an option to do that at the very least. This is done with the Santa-Fe as well as all the vintage dehumidifiers and it works well. Should be able to manage it now. Removes water at a good rate, as I'm emptying it every 8 hours or so. The 5 year warranty is why I bought it as I'm tired of replacing dehumidifiers every year or two. Again, if your vintage (25-30 year old) dehumidifiers can last 20-30 years there's no excuse for the crap that is being produced currently. We'll see how this one lasts as that would be the biggest factor for me.

If you’re looking for a Dehumidifier, this Honeywell is outstanding, I’ve had zero problems with it. Quiet runs. Efficient looks good in Best Buy for your money number one.
